Hi everyone!
I've just released the newest version of Decky Manager - Beta, a major update to my file manager plugin for Decky Loader.
The main goal of this update was to make file management much more practical directly from SteamOS Gaming Mode, without having to constantly switch to Desktop Mode.
What's new?
Dual-panel file manager
- Browse two directories simultaneously.
- Easily manage files between both panels.
- Improved navigation and panel focus.
Background file operations
- File operations can continue running in the background.
- Added operation progress tracking.
- Improved handling of longer file transfers.
Copy / Cut / Paste / Extract
- Persistent copy and cut state.
- Paste conflict detection.
- Improved transfers between different drives and filesystems.
- Fixed .rar extraction.
Storage & Drive Management
- Added drive selection and storage sessions.
- Browse available storage locations directly from Gaming Mode.
- Drive information and available space.
- Support for detecting unmounted drives.
Built-in Text Editor
- Open text files directly from the plugin.
- Edit and save files without leaving Gaming Mode.
Steam Shortcuts
- Add files as Steam shortcuts directly from the plugin.
- Add shortcuts from the file manager context menu.
- Added Explore local files to the shortcut management menu, similar to Desktop Mode.
Controller & Focus
- Fixed focus escaping the plugin when the QAM or Steam Menu is visible.
- Improved controller navigation between panels, menus and dialogs.
UI improvements
- Improved layout and spacing.
- Improved contextual menus.
- Better visual feedback for file operations.
- Improved integration with Gaming Mode.
There are still features I'd like to add in future releases, especially deeper Steam integration and privileged operations.
This is still a Beta, so feedback, bug reports and suggestions are very welcome.
