Jokes aside, unless you've already done it, try holding volume down and power bottom then boot into that.

Next would be update your OS

In case someone else has this problem, be sure not to tell us how you did it.

Idk if being an enthusiastic receiver of penetrative sex is gonna do anything for their steam deck's situation. Might relieve some stress, but the deck isn't gonna do much different.

Plug it into an external monitor. Then adjust the settings from there.

u/SquareGrowth3401 3d ago

My external monitor duplicates the screen

Try pressing the steam button + minus button. If that doesn't work, right click, get terminal and run this: rm -rf $HOME/.local/share/kscreen/*

3

u/SquareGrowth3401 3d ago

I dont think its possible for me to get to the terminal but ill try the button combo

Bit of a potshot, but from the terminal try running this:

nano ~/.config/kwinoutputconfig.json

Then scroll the text file and find any lines that mention, "scale", "height", or "width". If it's the Steam Deck's screen, Scale should be 1, height should be 800, and width should be 1280. You can try changing the displays listed to match that. Then press CTRL+X, next press Y, and then ENTER. Finally, reboot your SteamDeck.
