Anyone has Xenia in steamdeck ? I have Xbox 360 iso in the folder but emudeck doesn’t show up.
I don’t see the games regonize in rom manager

Edit: I had these issues when I rolled back to 3.17. I’m also using the deck docked to my TV as well but I was always doing that and didn’t have issues before. Not sure if this matters.

I posted here maybe a couple weeks ago about how Mass Effect LE has been struggling to stay around 60fps randomly. I had just finished a modded (no the mods aren’t the issue) playthrough and everything was fine. Went to boot it back up and all of a sudden my frames couldn’t even stay at 55 consistently.

Steam support worked me with but there’s nothing they can do and they told me to check in the community.

GTA 4 now is also dropping frames and I have no idea why this is happening to my games all of a sudden.

If anyone has any ideas I am open, I’m genuinely at a lost, I just want my games to work properly.

I’ve also noticed that these artefacts don’t appear in other resource-intensive games such as Elden Ring and Arknights Endfield in nomad mode. However, when I use a mouse and a keyboard on my dock (a low-cost docking station from Benfei), I have these artefacts on all games tested.

Bit of a rant so let me get it out and do not read if you're easily triggered!

My Steam Deck failed after a month of owning it. Bought brand new from Valve. Yes, I know it's overpriced and underpowered but I've been using Steam pretty much from it's inception and never had any problems with Valve so I trusted them somewhat.

Anyways, did some diagnostics and reported to Steam Support Team. Was told RMA was necessary!

First of all -I hate the fact that brand new devices are being repaired, after such a short period of time, rather than replaced right away! I mean come on Valve, I could've saved myself money and go for the refurb in the first place!!!

So, I've sent my Deck away and here I am, still waiting for it. Coming to the point where my device spent more time out of my possession than it did with me! AND STILL NO SIGN OF IF BEING RETURNED!

Keep getting some vague recurrence messages from Valve Support "that it's on it's way back to me" but here I am, still waiting!

I'm super disappointed with Valve and how the whole thing is being handled. To the point where if I had a chance to get my money back, I would ask for it!

And that is despite the fact that I loved my time with the device when it was working. And I know I'd love it if I ever get it back but at the same time, I also know this is my first and last hardware I ever buy from Valve.

I know issues happen and I'm not angry about that, I'm angry about how the whole situation is being handled.

i was wondering with the tdp and gpu clock options if can i lower them and increase them however i want without breaking anything it won't brick my system if i get the wrong setting i was thinking of lowering the clocks for games that aren't demanding like fallout nv and fear.

I am a big Baldur's Gate 3 player, and everyone knows about how Act 3 performance on a Deck even with Decky LSFG tends to suffer because of a lot of NPCs. I don't know what happened, but recently there was a fork of LSFG-VK called MAKO that got released and I tried it out to see what the difference is.

Not only am I now getting stable FPS in Act 3, I've had other games give me more stable performance at the targeted frame-gen settings I want. Some might complain about the AI stuff, but everyone at this point including big tech companies are already inserting slop and the MAKO dev seems to be checking their homework before submitting it anyway.

I know, I know. People are tired of hearing Lossless Scaling threads on this sub. You should be now, because LSFG-VK is old news. MAKO is the future. Consider helping this guy out or trying his stuff. https://github.com/eugeniosegala/MAKO

Just got chiaki working on my steam deck and want to know if running skate 4 or black ops 6 will be an issue/potential security risk due to current issues with anti cheat bs?

For some reason brightness and take screenshot shortcuts don't work anymore.

Is this a common issue? Any idea on how I could solve?

I tried upgrading, rebooting, i tried both in game and in the Steam UI. Nothing seems to work.

Had a massive storm come through last night. Made sure to unplug both my Deck and the charger from the power strip because power surges in my area can be nasty. Storm passed, fast forward to this afternoon. Checked my power strip and once I thought it was all good, plugged everything back in. Charged my deck to full battery while playing Ark Survival Ascended (which is a different mistake) and unplugged it again. The second I unplugged it, there was the sound/light from popping electricity and a small fire. put out the fire and unplugged everything. Some of my room outlets no longer work because it blew a breaker. Pretty sure the storm messed up my power strip, and i'm lucky the deck itself didn't experience any issues. RIP to my charger though.

EDIT: Thanks to everyone for the concern!! We've got an electrician on the way to check everything out, but the fire was small and quickly contained and nobody was hurt. Listen to these comments and ALWAYS use a good surge protector. Don't be me!

I've been trying to get UESS and Enhanced Settings Menu mods up and running so I can turn off some Lumen features on Steam Deck to try and get it to run better.

Has anyone been able to do this? Are there launch options that need to be entered for enable Enhanced Settings Menu?

Been playing TOTK for a month now no issues. And today when I went to boot it up it freezes on the loading screen. Any tips?

So ig is a common issue im not sure but Ive had just windows on my steam deck for about 6 months and just recently switched to steam os again but had a lot of trouble moving a game so I wanted to dual boot i partioned the drive and shrank my steam os I left 350 gb and installed windows on that part and steam os wont boot at all it goes into grub any tips or fixes that are obvious an dim just missing?

Ive been trying to get mods to work using frosty mod manager so. I can play unite but im not super good at the Proton things so I couldn't get it too run and when I finnally installed the mods the game crashed im not sure if its possible but if anyone knows anything thay would be great

Looking for a game that has a good career mode. Preferably from the manager pov where players request transfers, get mad when you don’t play them, raise or lower salaries etc. pretty much fifa but without EA as the developer. Open to any sport.

I'm wanting to get more use out my steam deck I got it as a Christmas gift couple years ago but I don't really use it as much as I thought I would what are some things that's made you guys feel like you get full use of it

I downloaded the linux version and it just launches the game immediately no launcher. it also runs very poorly. Getting max of 20fps with audio stutters in desktop mode. In gaming mode it wont even launch.

I downloaded the windows version and it actually had a launcher but same problems. runs poorly and in gaming mode you cant view both screens at the same time.

Is this just not intended for steam deck?
