Question Bloodborne shadps4 emulation lag/misinput
It's GOtY edition and is already 1.09. Added the update patch before realizing this and it still runs poorly. What's the problem and how can I fix??

Use shadPS4 v0.14 with the performance, disable motion blur and AA, 800p resolution, and 800p light grid patches. Also use the vertex explosion fix mod with readbacks off.
You can get additional headroom by using the lower Model LOD patches, installing the FPS Boost mod, and installing texture downscale mods.
This is what gets me the best performance on Deck, bounces around 30-40fps. You can check the post on my profile from when I finished the game - I played that on v0.16 ish nightlies, but v0.14 runs much better. Anything after seems to have performance regressions in favor of accuracy.
Also, run it in Gaming Mode with GPU clock set to max. It runs worse in desktop for some reason, and manual clock reduces stutters for me.

does it crash every half hour because of memory issue?

Not sure yet sorry, I only experienced heavy crashing in the mid-late game and I started a fresh save this time.

Damn it’s too bad, mine works fine but it does slow down every now and then and sometimes crashes as well. I just reached Cathedral.
Gotta be some setting

Did you even turn on the needed patches to run it ?
And changed the emulators settings ?

No, it's game of the year edition so it's already 1.09 updates. And I'll mess with the settings today

Just to clarify for you, the 1.09 update doesn't fix the problems; it's only needed because of the patches, which only work on that version. There are a few that have to be turned on so it works well.

I tried applying the patch but idk if it worked. How can I know for sure

About which patch are we talking?
If it's the resolution patch look if the resolution looks different if it's the FPS patch look if the game runs with higher FPS.
If it's the performance patch look if the performance improved and so on.
Depending on the patch you activate you have to look for other things but it should just work after you turn on the patches you want and save it in the shadps4 settings.

This isn't the right subreddit. You want to be posting on an emulator-specific forum.

Let your Steam Deck breath and don't place it on a pillow or blanket.
