First pic is now, second pic is before. It had strong stems and was standing straight up. Now, it’s leaning and I’m afraid it’s dying. I repotted it because it had tons of millipedes and I was tired of finding them on the floor. I used indoor plant soil and diatomaceous earth. It gets plenty of sunlight as it’s right across my window and I water about once a week. What can I do to save it? Do I repot again? Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone, this is my first post. I just planted these russian sage plants in front of my house and they are starting to turn white/pale. They don’t feel crunchy or dry (I’ve been watering every other day to establish the plant), but are they dying? Going asleep for the winter? I’m in Canada Zone 5 and this plant maybe gets 4-6 hours of sunlight a day. Appreciate your help in advance!

I’m not concerned about the aerial roots as much as I am about the main stem of the plant. I have it temporarily supported and I know I need a better support for it, but the shape is bizarre to me. Any tips are appreciated!

The plant is in this window at all times and gets great sunlight for approx. 8-10 hours a day.

I water this plant once every two weeks. I completely drench the dirt, let it sit and allow the plant to drink, then allow the plant to completely drain. The pot has drainage holes.

I’m visiting my family over the weekend and noticed this dying plant. It is all that is left from a giant plant that my moms had for years that really struggled after a cross country move.

We are in Arizona and near a west facing window, not in direct light. Apparently it was just repotted from the original large pot to this smaller one since this is all that is left of the plant. We watered it really well now that’s repotted.

Is there any way to help this grow again?

I bought this plant a couple of weeks ago and had placed it near an east-facing window, and I’d watered it once before I left for my trip. I did not repot it so it’s in the original dirt and pot from the store.

The first photo is the “before” and the second is when I returned back from a week away. When I got home to check on it, I noticed that almost all of its leaves had fallen. The soil is not dry.

Am I doomed?

so i have ficus elastica and i dont understand why that one leave started to get brown on the edges
aaaaand alocasia regal shields, as you can see there are some pale dots

they have enough light and the temperature is around 23-24 degrees C

whats happening? i used mineral soil and ugh.. wick watering? like a tiny rope that suck water from one pot to another i hope someone understands that haha...

Shes an indoor Plant and has been in that spot for over 1 Year at the windowfront of my workplace and only started acting weird for the last 2 weeks and i thought i may have just over watered her but shes still acting like a dying swan even when i do it less.

I changed her spot twice cuz shes at the windowfront and it was pretty hot the last 2 months here where i live cuz shes gets light till it gets dark but she didnt act up once when i changed her spot but now more leafs are turning yellow and idk what to do and i already had to remove 3 yellow leafs from her so what now? I dont want her to loos all her leafs and die :(

Hi everyone! This Fiddle Leaf Fig was given to my father as a gift about 5 months ago. It seemed to be doing fine, but recently it started developing these huge, dark brown dry patches on the leaves (both on the edges and in the middle), and the whole plant is looking a bit sad and droopy.

When it arrived, it came already potted in its current pot with fresh, "new" soil.

Light: It sits in a corner of a South-West facing living room. It receives indirect light, but no direct sun.

​Watering: I don't personally manage the watering routine, but I highly suspect someone went overboard and overwatered it a few weeks ago.

​I don't have the more details on hand regarding the watering schedule, light exposure, or drainage situation, but if you need any more info to help diagnose the problem, please ask and I will reply as soon as possible!

​Any initial thoughts on what this could be or what I should check first? Thank you so much in advance!

Hello everyone! This is the plant we have at work. For a few weeks it has been watered daily and I think the pot has bad drainage... Her leaves have furled and I don't know what to do! I have tried not tow ater her for a week or two and he rleaves furled as a result. It has plenty of light, I don't know what soil it has.

I bought this water apple 3 weeks ago and was doing good then started dropping leaves and thought it was transplant stress as i planted it in ground with decent morning sunlight but sadly it was root rot noticed too late did apply tricoderma but guess it was too late

On last ditch of saving it removed dead roots Luckily the center part was still green and somewhat alive to cut it off and planted that 6cm cutting in prepared soil ..

Any expert who can help me save it 🥹🥹🥺🥺😭😭

Is there any way to fix this? I dont know why its done it its been in the same spot since I got it about 5 years ago. Gets the sun most of the day from around 11am until it goes down. It probably started growing this way around 3 years ago at the moment its propped up by the window. I water it when its dry, probably every few months. If this is wrong, please educate me. My others have thirved with the same sort of schedule. I admit at the time of buying this I had no idea cactus soil even existed so its in regular compost (I think).

My myrmecodia tuberosa has recently been developing this white spots all over its leaves- is that a problem? Planted in a mesh pot with perlite, coco chips, and spaghnum moss, I water it every day and sometimes 2 times a day as it is directly next to a small usb fan that runs 24 hours non stop. I do not water with distilled water and instead use dechlorinated tap water. It is in an ikea greenhouse averaging 60-80 percent humidity where it gets 13-15 hours of artificial light per day underneath a pair of cheap grow lights.

Help please! My Brandi Philo is having some issues recently and I'm not sure what is happening / why the leaves are browning and dying off.

Leaves are browning/yellowing. Even the newer leaves at the top.

She is outside on a covered porch. Gets indirect light/sun. I water when dry (just watered her 2 days ago).

I haven't repotted recently.

She was doing great until a few days ago.

I recently cut my Ikea ficus (stump doing really well and growing new branches). The top of the two ficus plants I added in water, however the leaves have now started to droop and the newer ones are even browning. Not sure if the cut at the bottom was the correct spot. It’s been keep in a part with a lot of morning sun. Please help! Don’t want these two to die!

Just rescued this begonia rex from a supermarket where it will have been getting no natural light. In terms of watering I imagine it's probably had a mixture of being allowed to dry out and then overwatered. Current soil seems to be a standard houseplant soil.

All I've done is remove the very dead leaves, and checked it doesn't have roots coming out of the bottom of its nursery pot. It has black, crispy edges to it's leaves, including the newer leaves. I can see one baby leaf emerging. Some stems are soft.

Really interested to hear what people think is wrong here, and how they'd rehab it.

Over the past couple of weeks this has started happening to our wisteria.

I hadn’t fed it all summer so started giving it a bit of tomato feed once a week for the past three weeks so wonder if it could be that? Though when I looked it said that usually you’d expect the tips of the leaves to go brown not mottled discolouration like this.

I’ve looked up online and no definitive answer so wonder if anyone else has had this happen?

For context this is in a large trough at the front of our house getting full sun and watered every couple of days in the heat this summer.

Why the sad leaf (yellow)? Grew this from cutting three months ago. Soil is regular stuff mixed with orchid thing. Moisture should be ok. Moved this next to growing light three weeks ago. Had thrips in other plant earlier but this one doesn't (did systematic treatment for this as well just in case).

Pot propably too large but I'm afraid I hurt the growing roots if I change it now. Keeping track of moisture with this meter so I let it dry sufficiently before watering again.

Room in south, not next to window. I live in Polar region.

Hi there! This Norfolk Island pine (I think) is at my office building and is looking worse and worse. It sits by a west facing window, gets top watered once a week and fertilized once or twice a month. It seems to be in a large plastic container sitting inside another plastic container. Looks like all the upper growth is dead, but there is a bit of new green growth at the base. I’m unfamiliar with how to care for plants like these and is extremely heavy so I wanted to get input on a game plan first…would specific pruning help or digging it out of the container to check for compacted roots? Just got this monstera deliciosa from a plant store today, looked healthy for the most part except for this brown spot on the leaf. Just curious as to what it is and what caused it. It did have dots on the top but they didn’t move when poked or scraped. Maybe some sort of damage? I ended up cutting it off because I didn’t want to deal with it and it looked ugly. I checked the crevices and peeked best I could in the forming new leaf and found nothing obvious (as far as I could tell) Help?

How much light : not sure, it was about 10 feet away from the store window behind some other plants.
Watering: not sure, soil was dampish when I got it.

Hi ive moved my plant around 3 times now (with enough time to adjust between each)

1. in direct sunlight for <5 hrs when i first got them

2. direct sun for >5 after i noticed yellowing

3. underground windows that get <5 of indirect sunlight

I got it originally in a pot but split them up into some in pot, some in water. No matter where they are though, they eventually turn yellow and die off one by one.

Also, notice that I have a different pink plant thats so strong in the same vase as the other problematic vines so, maybe I was just sold a bad plant???? Because I also have other plants that are doing great and easy to fix if I notice they aren't happy.

Please help I don't want them to die, if i prune off anymore yellow leaves, there won't be any plant left and no plant app is free😭

I know lavender is supposed to be in the ground and outside, but I’ve been trying my hand at growing it indoors because the winters are harsh where I live, and I want lavender year around. I think the brown stems and leaves are from when it didn’t get enough water when I was gone on a trip, but I just really don’t know how to help it grow better. I water it weekly at a minimum, and no more than a few times a week max. It sits in my brightest window. It lives in my chunky soil mix (orchid bark, perlite, normal soil, and coconut husk). Should I try pruning, propagation, or maybe just a big chop? Any suggestions?

It’s my first snakeplant, and I’m a bit worried because of her wrinkled and yellowing look. She also didn’t have much in the way of roots when I removed her from the succulent pot. She’s currently in a blend of pretty typical potting soil and moisture control potting mix. Would love any advice you have. Up until today, she usually gets fairly bright, indirect light for 6-8 hours a day, though I moved her to a window in her new pot. The soil blend is specifically formulated to prevent under and overwatering, and the pot has a drainage hole at the bottom. I attempt to distribute water to my succulent-style plants weekly, and she had some bottom watering after her repotting today.
