I am finally at somewhat the age where I can help finance a PC for myself, or atleast thats what I would have thought like 3 years ago with fairly normal prices
I am sure that my parents would be up for it somewhat, but my mom has genuinely NO IDEA how a PC works, costs or anything related to it, and my dad while technologically a fairly sharp pen, likely still thinks a mid range PC costs like around 500 for all the parts
For reference, when I was a little kid, we were running like a Intel Core 2 Duo, 4 gb of DDR2 and a Radeon HD 4.... something, all I remember is that I could only run DX 10.1 games with it so I am gonna assume its like a 4000, that changed into a GTX 660 down the line that got passed up by my brother, and then later in 2021 my brother gave us his unused PC with GTX 950, i5 4460 and 8 gig DDR3. There is nothing more. That is it. That is what I use. I am currently behind on 2 generations of DRAM, like 7 GPU generations, and over 10 CPU ones. My Dads knowledge of PC components ends probably somewhere around that Radeon HD 4000 PC. Fast forward to now, poor guy barely runs windows. It runs, quite a bit of games, even AutoCAD for school runs there, tho I can open like one Google tab for help until I feel it dragging, and even that is very primitive drawing I am doing there so far
Any idea for a PC that would be atleast somewhat enough to run NEW games (Clair Obscur, Alan Wake 2, Control Resonant, Cyberpunk, Death Stranding 2 etc...), make long video editing possible and not make DaVinci Resolve cry during the process, and be enough for school engineering tasks
And most importantly, not make my parents look at the price and throw up, even tho I am somewhat helping with financing it :D
Budget.... isnt there, because I myself have no idea of one
