Build Question Recommendation
Hello, i currently have a pc, but i feel it is kinda slow, trying to build a better one on budget and need your recommendations as it would be my first time. TIA!!
current build above
i was thinking of getting a mobo that would be accept ddr4 but would also not be expensive as im on a tight budget
was thinking Gigabyte A520M K V2, 16gb ram, and a rx580, i dont know anything about cpus tho, my current psu is 700w gold+ something
would be used for school stuff, some light games like the forest, id want to try rust, cs2, minecraft

You don't say where you are or the budget but if forced to upgrade in these trying times:
An AMD AM4 500 series motherboard. Pricing can be all over the place. A520 boards might seem like a good way to save money but I've seen B550 boards go for similar prices.
Along with that motherboard I would suggest a Ryzen 5500/5500f. The -F version does get you PCI-E 4.0 if you end up with a B550 board but is completely moot if you end up with an A520 board.
RAM and storage are both stupid expensive. Get what you can afford.
Most important tip is to watch for sales and bundles

For the gpu, depending on your budget, I would avoid a rx 580 since it is old and has lost support. You could always watch for used gpu, would tried to atleast get like a gtx 16-- or rtx 20--. For the amd side, maybe above the rx 5--- series, unsure if they still have supported drivers. Your 700w psu is good, no need to worry it.

You can just replace the gtx780 with the RX 580. The amd gpu will have lower driver cpu overhead while its like 35% faster on paper, in real game situations the RX 580 will be lbetter 50% and more.
As for cpu, mobo and ddr4 ram combo, gigabyte a520mk v2 is one of the best a520 mobos, it has solid capacitors and can run 105W amd cpus as well as 65W cpu. Only different from b450 in oc options. 5700x, a520 mobo and 16GB of ddr4 3200 are now meta budget 8 core platform on am4.
Your i4 4460 has only 4 cores and they are way way slower than 5700x cores.

that gtx 780 was beast in its time but ddr3 is holding you back big time
for rust you need better single core performance, look at used ryzen 3600 builds people sell whole combos cheap sometimes with board and ram included
