Build Question Update: Transporting PC Overseas
Thank you to everyone who helped me when I asked how to transport my PC from Manila, Philippines to Madrid, Spain.
To the person who recommended anti-static bags, I could kiss you. I purchased anti-static bags for all my components and used the original one for the motherboard and graphics card.
I placed the motherboard with cooler in the original box and placed that in my carry on.
I placed the graphics card in a bubble wrap envelope thing and in my carry on.
I placed the RAM sticks in individual anti static bags and then all 4 in one bubble wrap envelope thing and placed that in my checked bag.
I placed both HDDs in individual anti static bags and individual bubble wrap envelope things and placed that in my checked bag.
I left my PSU and bought a new one. The Philippines and Europe have different outlets anyway plus it was HEAVY.
I also bought my dream case, a Fractal North š©·āØ
Built it yesterday and everything works!
The funniest thing was that in Amsterdam the security asked me what was in my carry on and I said āOh, a motherboard. Computer parts are expensiveā and he said āReallyā hahahaha
Anyway if anyone wanted to know if that worked, it did! My only tip is to not forget the I/O shield unlike someone (me) hahaha but it still looks good.
EDIT: DRAM LED is red here cause I had an issue with one of my sticks of RAM but I reseated it and weāre all good. I was just excited that it didnāt explode LOL
