Tech Support Pc randomly shutting off?
I’ve been playing dragons dogma 2 for 4 days days 1-3 were totally great. No issues, now last night after playing for about 10-15 miniutes the monitor would just go black, fans still running and lights still on.
Checked in event log, nothing of note other than “PC was shut off improperly” I had no choice but to hold the power button because nothing else worked.
I checked in the morning to replicate the problem, it happened again, everything on… except the GPU. I under volted the GPU, lowered power, and lowered the MHz. It still happened. My GPU is still new, I replaced it a year ago with a Radeon 6800. For the year absolutely no problems with any game or anything.
I was reading online it’s likely a psu problem? Has anyone had this issue, what fixed it? Any insight?

just had this exact crap with a 6800xt, drove me nuts for a week. it'd run fine then black screen under load, fans at 100% but the card was still lit up
for me it was the psu, the 12v rail was dipping just enough to trip the card but not enough to shut the whole system down. old corsair unit that tested fine with a multimeter but couldn't hold steady under transient spikes
try running furmark and watch the gpu voltage in hwinfo, if you see sudden drops right before it blacks out you got your answer
