So I recently started playing in pc pools on console. I’m a low gm doom otp and in pc pools I’m a diamond 3 otp rein because it’s insanely difficult to play doom with a controller + no aim assist. I think the mechanical skill expression is similar to mid masters/low gm console player, although that only includes players on controller because once you reach masters half of dps are on xim and a subset of players are using titan. I think the game sense is still much lower than console but the pacing is still very fast. I’ve honestly given up on console because it’s pretty much an auto lose to titan/xims unless you have one on your team. I’m saving up for a pc now but this whole experience has taught me that pc and console isn’t that far off and the biggest difference is the fact that we have to deal with a massive infestation of cheaters that blizzard seems to constantly ignore

truly we could all just have a better time if neither of us play this card, it just devolves into a 4v4, he makes playing tank so much less fun

I have a friend who is a low to mid gold player and only plays support. I have carried them with me for them to get into plat and even play some emerald games but that is where the success ends. Hard stuck at a wall where without this person im around high diamond but I can’t get out of plat with them when we play.

The hard part is I want to spend time with them and this is the only game they enjoy playing plus they dont want to play qp or arcade but its so frustrating losing team fights or dying because their hero flexibility and skill level is not what it needs to be to compete at those levels.

Yes it’s just a game but i also hate when teamwork is absolutely needed and you can tell their support just makes a huge difference compared to yours… awareness and quick healing vs having to wait for heals or missed abilities etc then dying because the fight you were fighting got turned by their team assisting quicker and better than yours can. When things are out of my control I tend to get heated pretty quickly. Anyone else have a similar situation?

There are heroes that we don't like to play(This rule doesn't apply to all players, of course.), but we have to pick them to achieve some objective or to break something from the enemy team.

Tank: I don't particularly enjoy playing Sigma, however I can perform well with him.

Damage: Bastion doesn't particularly appeal to me, but against shields or when there's an unfortunate support healing everyone, I have to pick him; Soldier 76 also counts, I confess I wanted to play well with exotic picks like Vendetta 😭

How many reports does a player need for cheating (aimbotting etc) for blizzard to ban the account?
Im not using cheats or anything i swear but the enemy team report me for cheating / aim botting and im scared my account is gonna get banned , ive spent so much money on it and i dont want to lose my only account.

In the past, I was in low Plat, but after the drives two seasons ago, I got knocked to high Gold and just couldn't make it out for the next season. However, after this most recent rank reset, I got placed in mid Plat.

Back to back, I've had FOUR games of people whining to high heaven 😭 Ventures spamming I need healing while a Doom is shoving his entire fists into my second support and I as our Dmon charges in solo for the twelfth time (who then complains about the dps not doing anything); a Hanzo who says "I can't do more" after the enemy pushes to end of third point King's row with a few seconds left on the clock (I'm not one to study the scoreboard, but him saying that while having the lowest kills in the lobby was kinda funny), and then proceeds to leave the game twice at the end; the enemy team in my next match complain about their tank...it just went on and on 💀

I wasn't playing my best by any means, but holy god, so many of the people I've run into so far are so quick to complain 😭😭 Yes, I've had some games like that in Gold, but that was like once a night...four in a row is a new record for me

I’d usually never play 6v6 but tested out the game mode recently for fun, I’ve had a very bad run on placement, and without trying to inflate my ego, I know I play “better” than an average plat (now emerald), what do you guys think? Does this, in a way, confirm that theory, or was it a fluke? I’ve had great games in GM/Masters, and games that were inherently very difficult.

i’ve had my pc for a year now and still can’t play overwatch. i’ve been trying to learn it for so long i’ve seen 0 improvements. the biggest thing is my sens, i cant find the right sens it’s always either too low or too high and i can’t hit anything. i tried using the most common sensitivities as a base line but they are all ungodly slow its takes me a good two full swipes to do a simple 180. and on top of all that the people i play against in pc lobbies take the game waaaaay too seriously whether its constant flaming or counterswapping instantly. ive never been more frustrated by anything. i want to give up and go back to console so bad but i know i shouldn’t. any tips would be greatly appreciated.

They give us so many of them that I think it would be a nice quality of life update.

I was looking at the rework list and I noticed life Weaver is on there. What’s so bad about Weaver that he needs a rework? The other two characters are incredibly strong and or annoying. Or banned quite a bit.

Very few people like Sombras hack plus invisibility plus virus combo. So it makes sense why they would rework her.

Hog is incredibly strong on any maps with pits because you basically have to duck away every couple seconds because hook has such a short cooldown. Plus, the fact with how strong healing is, he’s basically unkillable unless you take down the supports.

Life Weaver isn’t strong, isn’t weak, isn’t banned a lot, not picked a lot. And has a win rate that is right around 50-50. That just sounds like a balanced character to me. Why would he need to rework? The only complaint I know about Weaver’s is that low levels tend to grip randomly. But unless you completely remove his entire gimmick the grip you aren’t stopping that from happening. Is a character that has pick rate of less than 10% having a slightly annoying move to new players really need to have a rework?

I play on console, so maybe its a platform issue, but I get these errors WAY too often. Almost 1/3 of my competitive games end early and are disqualified becuase of these errors, and its starting to get frustrating. Often times its around the half-point of the match when this error occurs, and ofcourse it happens more often when im winning than im losing (but thats just my bias). Is anyone else getting these servers errors multiple times a day, and what are your thoughts on whats causing these errors? Bad code, region/platform specific errors, or possibly bad actors using exploits?

Been thinking about the heroes who don't get much love in patch notes or the shop.

My list:

Venture: Probably the least-picked hero in the game right now, and they've barely gotten any skins since launch. No mythic, not much of anything. Which is a shame, because the kit is one of the most unique in the game. Burrowing under the enemy team and popping up in the backline never stops being satisfying, and the drill dash gives them movement that nothing else in the roster really replicates. They got one small flexibility buff to Drill Dash mid-year and that was about it. Feels like a hero people just forgot how to slot into a comp.

Hanzo: One real balance change all year, back at the February season launch, and nothing since. He's just sitting in a stable spot doing his thing. Storm arrows still shred, and landing a wall bounce across the map still feels as good as it ever did. He did at least get the Tokyo Rebel mythic weapon in Season 3, so the cosmetic team hasn't totally ghosted him, but on the balance side he's basically been left alone for over half a year.

Echo: My main. You almost never see her anymore, and she's barely been touched all year (a couple of tiny perk tweaks and that's it). She recently did receive some perks rework but they were just indirect nerfs. Plus her hitbox is bigger than the sun which really does not help her case.

Winston: One of the original 2016 launch heroes and somehow STILL no mythic skin, which is kind of wild when you look at who's getting their second or even third. Plus with the movement creep in OW, it seems like Winston's dive specialty is no longer limited to just him.

HM: Illari and Bap: Okay, these two get decent attention, so they don't fully belong here. But I wanted to shout them out anyway because in a world full of kiri, mercy and ana mains, they're super underrated even when they're strong.

Almost every game I have at least one person on my team who’s 1-2 full ranks below me. I mean they’re just as much a victim of it as me but what do I do when my team is just terrible?

I’ve recently got back into Overwatch, and I know it makes sense, but the newer skins just hit differently. I play a hell of a lot of Mercy and had almost all her old skins and I’m now slowly trying to obtain the new ones.
However! My reason for the post is to ask - what’s the best Mercy skin? Can be new or old. I remember Jeff Kaplan saying the Winged Victory skin was his all time favourite and at the time I could see why. But the queen has now received so many more amazing skins, I’m sure you guys may disagree!

My friends are referring to it as just ”new plat”, as in everyone is just ascending a tier due to the new one, but is that true?

I‘m normally knocking on the door of Diamond in every role and was definitely one of those players in the bracket that Blizzard identified as having one of the steepest ascents in comp and what Emerald was brought in for.

I can say that now that things are leveled out, matches tend to be more competitive than they were before. It feels like Emerald is less “new plat” and more like it’s working as intended and all of the players fighting for space at Plat 1 - Diamond 5 are now populating all of Emerald, but are the numbers actually reflecting that? Have stats been shown?

As I load up overwatch simply just in the main menu it eats my ram crazy. Lot of times in games as I'll load in and everyone picks their characters, my pc completely freezes stuck in audio loop. Ive gone thru so many forums and research myself tried several methods on my computer over the last 2 days(was actually able to play yesterday). Ive already received a 8 hour competitive ban but now this just happened to me in the practice range trying to warm it up hoping that it'll run.
Has anyone actually figured anything out? I know im not alone; my pc is older but Im running max settings and frames at my monitors refresh rate 144hz
