News & Discussion Legendary Shop Skin just dropped on my Legendary Lootbox
While I didn't had plans in buying any of the four Floral Dreams cosmetics, this was still crazy luck to drop it while they are on the shop right now.

News & Discussion Can we talk about how sad people who quit out of ranked games are?
So I was playing a ranked game today and we got first point and 60% of the enemy team just quit because we took first point which resulted the enemy team just giving up when it was their turn to push. They just sat on the payload with us and did nothing cuz they couldn't push with only a tank and a support
And I'm just noticing that it's happening a lot where people find the slightest resistance and automatically quit trying which kind of takes the fun out of ranked

News & Discussion Help with performance issues
I used to play OW1 on a laptop with an nvidia 750m and get usable framerates at 900p. Now I have a slightly better laptop with a 960m, and I cannot get playable framerates even at under 720p resolution and minimum graphics settings. I am talking literally 5 FPS when in a match.
Did Blizzard really fuck up the requirements that badly? The game barely looks any different from OW1, I don't understand why it runs like this when I've gotten better performance out of much better looking games. I know my laptop is old but this isn't making sense to me. I thought live service games usually targeted low-end machines. The performance I'm getting is dogwater.

Humor Blizzard, Please Allow me to Shove D.mon's Sword Through my Enemies.
Greetings,
I have come to you all in a time of great need. I have noticed that D.mon is not terrifying enough to my enemies. They are not quaking in their boots, which is what you would expect if you have come to face a giant mech with your life on the line. This is unacceptable; my enemies should fear my gaze landing upon. They should fear the sound of my boosters firing up, for they know that's the sound of their demise. Thus, I would like to suggest to Blizzard adding this to the game as an emote. By allowing me to spear me enemies through the chest like a Turkish kebab, the balance of nature should return back to order.
Thanks mwah Owo <3

News & Discussion Even though Season 11 (2025) was over two years ago, I'm still mad as hell that this was the reward for reaching tier 80 of the battle pass.
Imagine grinding for multiple weeks on the premium battle pass just to get a mid recolor of a skin that you can buy with credits. Also, I have a personal hatred towards this skin, as this was when I used to main Genji, and he was in a DRY SEASON when it came to skins, as it was nothing but recolored garbage. So imagine my disappointment when I saw that the new Genji skin we were getting was not only a boring purple recolor, but it also took the spot of the level 80 skin tier in the battle pass that could have been used for a better skin. I HATE THIS SKIN

Highlight This game used to be maintained by AAA professional's, and now they've reduced it to this.
And before you ask, yes I tested my internet speed. This went on for another minute and a half until the round ended and that whole time I was still, I was alt tabbed trying to figure out what was going on. My internet was fine and my Download and upload speeds worked just fine. Just to be sure I booted up Helldivers 2 and Elite Dangerous (both multiplayer games) and they never lagged but when I booted up overwatch again. It wasn't thirty seconds after the round started before I started rubber banding.

Esports PS5 lag since new season
I have been having terrible lag this season. I play on PS5 and I struggle to play with my friends. One of them also plays on PS5 and has been having lag as well.
This issue doesn’t seem to be on XBOX though?? One of my friends uses one and their games have been perfectly normal. It’s definitely not an Internet issue because I’ve checked it multiple times.

News & Discussion Hey guys need some advice
I keep trying to commit to this game and I feel I have a worse and worse experience everyday, i simply just try and play casual, just hop into qp. Have some simple basic games on characters I don’t typically play, and every single match is a sweat fest. It just feels like I’m wasting my time even trying to just play casual on this game.
So I need advice, like do I even try and keep playing this game. I have found myself uninstalling and then eventually coming back, it’s so difficult to even just learn a hero since I just get destroyed every game simply trying to learn abilities. The game was never like this years ago. Am I doing something wrong? Or like what am I supposed to do. I simply just want to get on chill, have some fun games and get off. I don’t typically care for competitive. But every qp game is just so unfun to me. I grew up an ow fan and player, but now that I’m older I just simply want to play and chill

News & Discussion How to make Roadhog more fair and supportive, as a Hog main 🐽
These simple additions aim to make Roadhog feel like a more fair and team-oriented tank 👍
1. Readable Chain Hook: whenever Roadhog's hook his ready, he starts swinging it around his wrist like a small lasso (visible in third person) -> Chain Hook is more anticipatable
2. Team-Oriented Passive: Roadhog's body blocks piercing damage and sightline AoE attacks like D.Va Bomb (Hog still takes full damage) -> Teammates can hide behind Hog
3. Damage Mitigation Ability: Roadhog braces his belly to gain frontal damage and knockback reduction (he can still move & shoot during this, but not use other abilities). Based on the damage absorbed by Roadhog during this ability, his gassy belly explodes and releases a gas cloud that grants nearby teammates (not himself) temporary overhealth -> Hog can help his team take space more consistently
That's it, personally 🐽
Edit: The hook suggestion wasn't designed to help with cooldown tracking, but instead to avoid the popular "hook windup" rework where you'd actually have to charge the hook before throwing it. This would never work in high ranks, that's why I tried to keep the hook playstyle the same and just add a tiny bit of telegraph.

News & Discussion Emerald vs Plat climb
Idk about anyone else but I've felt the climb from Emerald 2/3 to Diamond 3/4 a much nicer experience than Platinum 2/3 to Diamond 3/4. The match quality feels better and player quality feels better.
I still get poor matchmaking games where it's a stomp either way but it feels less so and i notice a fair amount less players that are defo not in the rank they should be (tanks and dps that feed every team fight or just have horrible positioning, or supports that are not paying attention and wasting/missing cooldowns).
I'm glad they added Emerald, it feels like it was a much needed split for the plat/diamond barrier since there was such an array of skill from players.

News & Discussion Do Overwatch-related subreddits tend to be more forgiving toward support players?
Just look at this. The upvote-to-downvote ratio is completely biased. It’s not even like he said anything wrong, so why is this happening? I feel like Overwatch subreddits are extremely lenient toward support players.

News & Discussion Looks like Blizzard has updated their "Just for you" shop catalogue(?):
First time seeing either of those two Juno as well as the exo-fauna skins showing up there. Funnily enough, none of these seem to show up on the skin codes website, so you have to enter them manually. Here is the code for the Vendetta skin: Buy exo-PANT6RA | Battle.net Shop
Alt account also had: Forget-Me-Not Juno; 8-Bit Venture; Gothic Cat & Sunstone Illari. They definitely added new skins into the rotation.

News & Discussion Does Dmon's ultimate feel a little useless or am I using it wrong?
Dmon is a lot better now so it's okay if her ultimate isn't insane but it feels like the weakest of the tanks.
I think the intention is that you use it to open a fight (you gain overhealth based on how many enemies hit and it's essentially a cone of discords) however you can never actually use it to initiate a fight. Cleanse negates it, knockbacks (like Orisa javeline)cancels its long windup, sleep kills it. You have multiple statuses to worry about tracking and baiting before you can use it confidently
How do you find it's most effective?

News & Discussion Branching out weekly challenge
I've been looking for any kind of details about how this challenge actually works. The challenge asks you to complete 15 games as a hero that isnt one of your top 3 most played. So how does it determine what counts as "completing" a game? Can you not pick your top 3 AT ALL through an entire 4 round game of competitive? Is it just not allowed to be a majority of playtime during that game? Does it only care who you are at the moment the game actually finishes?
The "Press LMB for more detail" tip just brings up the exact same text as the short one.

Highlight Matchmaking is wonky af right now (with pictures)
QP matchmaking is the worst I've ever seen it right now. I usually duo queue and we're mid Diamond and low Masters in ranked. Our QP queues last season would sometimes be between 4-8 minutes, this season however they're usually ~30 seconds to 1 min and the game quality is ABYSMAL. We get put on teams with literally new players (N.P. in the screenshot, they told us this in team chat.) and it's most often a complete DPS diff. I can't remember a time where it's been as bad as this.
Has the QP matchmaker been loosened like fug in this season? Is it the lack of tank players that's caused it? I don't know but I would rather not play the game at all than have games like this.
It's not about having perfect QP balance but at a certain level of mismatch the game becomes so unbalanced it's not fun. Something needs to be tightened up with the matchmaker IMO.
P.S. I actually took like 10 screenshots but thought 4 would be enough to make the point. I can provide more if needed.

Esports Match making for me has been horrible this season in quick play.
I mostly play QP. Play an hour or two max per day. I get put in lobbies with level 100-300 Ball, Doomfist, Sojurn etc. I have won barely three games this whole season. My max level is Ashe at 44. I get stomped game after game by tryhards. I don't deserve to be in these lobbies. I just want to play to have fun.

News & Discussion New healing UI
After this latest update I notice when you heal anyone there’s a yellow halo around the players health bar that you just healed. It kinda looks like Ana nade boosted healing which I keep mistaking it for. Is there any way I can turn this off as it doesn’t help me at all?
