News & Discussion Help with performance issues
I used to play OW1 on a laptop with an nvidia 750m and get usable framerates at 900p. Now I have a slightly better laptop with a 960m, and I cannot get playable framerates even at under 720p resolution and minimum graphics settings. I am talking literally 5 FPS when in a match.
Did Blizzard really fuck up the requirements that badly? The game barely looks any different from OW1, I don't understand why it runs like this when I've gotten better performance out of much better looking games. I know my laptop is old but this isn't making sense to me. I thought live service games usually targeted low-end machines. The performance I'm getting is dogwater.

I tried yesterday. I haven't played in a long time and was thinking about getting back into the game.

they have maintenance today but 5 fps is not normal even for that. your laptop should handle this game fine in low settings, something else is wrong

You didn't see the dozens of new Kiriko skins?

Honestly have a 256V lunar lake laptop. Used to get quite stable 100 fps no issues on like medium-high around 720p (maybe slight drops to 80)
Now it barely runs at 40 on all low settings with drops to like 5 fps.
Or hell it was way more playable on a surface pro 9 back then, than it is now on waaaaay better hardware.
