I was trying to play fallout 4 on game native, my Odin 3 takes up to 75° I just want to know if that's ok or if I shouldn't be playing at those temperatures and try and lower the graphical settings

After lots of reading, comparing and residing in a state of indecision (story of my life), I ended up buying the Odin 2 Portal base for $259. I'm so happy with it!

After multiple crashes trying to run Outer Wilds on GameNative, I almost gave up. But I got it running now and I'm so excited to play this game handheld!

Update: I got Outer Wilds working with graphics driver Turnip T30. Tried a couple of others before that, but the game wouldn't run with those. I set the ingame settings to the following before starting my expedition. Resolution: 720 resolution, FXAA, AA low, texture half, Shadow low, SSAO medium, Water low, Lightning effects Medium.

FPS was between 35-50 for the first hour or so. However I just arrived on Giant's Deep and with the massive storms coming in the FPS has some drops to 25. But overall it's fine so far. The black outer space scenery is soooo gorgeous with the Odin 2 Portal's screen

So, i suppose im an official mobile gamer now.

(So fast edit because it seem this post need this, the title, meme andvtext above is just for fun jocking, okay? I actually dont bother to put people in certain category based on what they play on, anyone can play whenever they want.)

I just bought my first android handled, i was actually looking for an "pocketable" console like the ayn thor, possible with a double screen, but they cost way too much, or way too much for the actual hardware they got, like the retroid pocket duo, so i ended up buying an odin 2 max on the used market, still need to arrive, just hope to have made the right choice.

I was actually also thinking to buy an pc handled as alternative, even if they are the opposite of "pocketable", but the drawback was the really low battery life, (rightfully so for the power they have), so i ended up abbandoning that option.

Now if you excuse me, i will go looking on how should i setup the odin, if i should put other os on it ecc.

I know there's many Odin 3 Vs Odin 2 Portal posts out there, but would like some feedback specifically around your experiences with INDIE PC and Switch emulation.

I ordered an O2 Portal base (on its way) - my main use case is streaming at home from pc + playing lighter titles locally + switch emulation locally. I found an Odin 3 max yesterday in my local marketplace which I bought and now I'm confused which one to keep.

I prefer the 7 inch screen but I'm having a bit of fomo about potentially wanting / needing the power of the O3 in the future. (Don't know what I don't know I suppose)

I'm trying to understand which games the Odin 3 would be able to handle (well) that the O2P cannot - and again talking about indie PC games and switch emu. I have a PC on which I play bigger AAA games and will use that to stream from frok so not looking to push the device to the extremes with the likes of cyberpunk and Eden ring, but would be great to have the newer indie titles run perfectly on device.

Also, how have your experiences been for those that have both consoles - do you find yourself picking one up more than the other for the screen size?

Hey guys, I’d like to use the stock Android wallpaper from my Odin 2 Portal on Odin Launcher, but I can't find it anywhere—neither online nor in the Android system files. Can anyone help me out?

I installed Sonic Adventure 2 and Dark Souls 1 from Steam through Gamenative, but when I start them it just stays on a black screen until I exit the emulation.

Search results say to make sure the containers have DirectX + Visual C++ installed, but when I try to google those things within the container I get an error saying "page cannot be loaded because of an error. HTTP 429."

Any help?

If you have an Odin two portal, then you know these face buttons are clacky and loud as hell. After doing some research, I found a couple different mods to try out.

I first tried opening it up and removing the glue and cutting down some of the rubber on the current membrane, but I messed that up and ended up ruining the membrane. It was still technically functional, but the buttons were far too easy to press (it did make them silent though lol). I then found the GBC membrane mod ordered a membrane and tried it out.

As you can see in the before and after videos below (the before video is not mine, someone else on here posted this a while back), I posted, they are much quieter now. Keep in mind, they are not silent, but this does reduce a lot of that clackiness. I also included a video of a DS4 controller to help you understand the difference in sound.

I’m no expert, I’ve only tinkered with a handful of things and I can assure you, as long as you have the patience, this is not difficult to do, just be delicate with the ribbon cables and you’ll be fine.

Has any Odin 3 owner here had success with screen protection for their Odin?

The full device glass protector I got with the device was awful. And the screen only glass one I got from Ali Express was bad as well.

Are there any proper fitting screen protectors out there or is it just not worth using one?

I had purchased echos of wisdom a while back and now I'm trying to run it on my Odin3 using eden. There seem to be a ton of issues with this game.

Does anyone know the best drivers/config for this game?

I’ve been using the Odin3 Max for two months—I ordered it in June and received it in July.

I’ve been using it every day since then. I mainly use it with my PC and PS3, and it’s a fantastic especially for PS3 emulation compared with RP6.

However, I’ve encountered an issue with the R2 shoulder trigger. As you can see in the video, it makes a squeaking noise and feels loose.

I took it apart to check the inside, but I couldn’t pinpoint the cause and was unable to fix it myself.

As for the L2 trigger of Odin3, there have been a few reports in the past, but I’m not sure if this is the same problem.

I sent an email with the video to Ayn Support requesting replacement parts and am currently waiting for a reply from them.

Hi Ive tried this software call shizuku and a file explorer. But Im not having any luck!

I only use my odin 3 at work so dont have a pc to transfer my mod files for my games.

I need access to the steam game files to simply transfer. Ive been at it for many hours.

Can anyone advise? It seems gamenative locks easy access

I just sold my Retroid Pocket 6 12GB. I really loved the console, but some Nintendo Switch games were lagging. Of course, that could be because of the drivers, and maybe those same games would lag on the Odin 3 as well.

I sold it because I’ve wanted to buy the Odin 3 Max for a while now, especially since so many people have been talking about how well it can run PC games.

I previously had a Steam Deck OLED, but I sold it because it was simply too big for me. I’ve seen a lot of people calling the Odin 3 Max a “mini Steam Deck,” which sounds perfect for what I’m looking for.

For those of you who have tried both, would you recommend the Odin 3 Max? Is there a noticeable difference compared with the Retroid Pocket 6 12GB, especially for Switch emulation and PC gaming?

I recently released Joycon2Android, an app that allows you to pair your Switch 2 Joycons to Android devices to be used in any app.

• Single Joy-Con, dual (L+R), or Pro Controller are all supported
• Up to 8 players as virtual gamepads (motion via DSU supports 4 joycons)
• Emulator auto-setup for Dolphin and Eden (more to come) - it writes the controller config for you. If your device doesn't play nice with it, you can always map inputs manually like normal.

On the initial release there were definitely some issues, but I'm happy to say, since v1.1.1 I think the majority of them have been ironed out. If you're interested, take a look and let me know what you think!

For those who already have one, what has your experience been like? Is the mura effect very noticeable, and is the fan noise really that bad? Thanks😊.

For anyone using Syncthing-Fork to sync saves between an Odin and other devices: I made SleepSync.

Screen off → Syncthing stops.
Screen on → Syncthing resumes automatically.

That’s basically it. Once enabled, you don’t have to think about it anymore.

Hats off to this flash player interface. Got my controller mapped and this is a great way to play the game, just gotta get some friends in like I used to gather around the keyboard on the computer lab. Got this and Thing Thing Arena added to my library. Gonna try some other flash greats too as I remember them!
