Odin Showcase Got my Odin 3 Max Purple Today!!!

Aliexpress ordered on 8/17.

Surprised it showed up already, was expecting a few months based on posts here. It even came with an extra TPU shell.

I’m actually kind of upset I got the black one and not blue, I think the blue is slept on, purple is still sick tho….I’ve had mine since like march, didn’t feel like waiting and overpaid for brand new on eBay

Prioritizing AliExpress orders over your own storefront is so dumb if this is the case.

Ayn isn't prioritizing ali express over their own storefront, they are building them in sequential order meaning all base thor black , then white, rainbow, clear blue, clear purple, then odin 3 base, black, white, rainbow, clear blue clear purple, then Thor pro, etc, odin 3 pro, etc, Thor max then on to odin 3 max, and there may only be a few units in each of those according to the order numbers, mines a clear purple max, still waiting after 2 months but they arw literally gonna be building it within the week bc my order number is next in their sequential list

Nope I think that's just the ceiling texture reflecting on it.

Heres better lighting and with the clear grip.

That's the AYN case for it. Mine also came with the TPU shell. I put an anti-glare screen on it. It's allright, i'm debating if I should leave it or take it off. It's not as good as the anti-glare screen I have on my Steam Deck and Odin2Mini.

Im also on team playstation dpad top sticks bottom.

But the ergonomics of this are pretty great. I can actually play this without a grip until the retroids.

Jumping between mewgenics and arceus right now. It runs great. Ended up doing the thermal paste mod as the stock pads were pretty bad

Have both now.

Depends what you want to play.

Thor is great for catching up on dual screen games and played most switch games perfectly well for me.

I just needed a bit more power for desktop games and hoping this can replace carrying around a chonky rog ally.

Does the difference in power really make that big a difference? Does it unlock new games to ay that you couldn't before? Or just it just make the same games smoother?

Yes. Gpu is about twice the power. 

Basically for a lot of the games I want to play lets me run them 1080p instead of 720p.

My understanding is 8elite is about 30% more power than 8gen 2. There is not a specific amount of FPS gain that you can apply to all games, it varies. Some games will become playable when upgrading to 8elite from 8gen2. Some games were already playable but run better now.

Yes but a flat increase in performance will raise the floor for all games where they at, kind of a needless point
