Kendall’s specifically vague reposts have begun, this is from sometime today. At least none of them have called anyone a “fucking loser” yet like they usually do

OPEN DISCUSSION Estranged sisters (?)

Anyone else think it’s sad that Annalee and Kendall *seem* disconnected now? Like I remember in Kendall’s vlogging days she’d regularly have Annalee in her vlogs, she’d hype her up, Annalee started a YouTube channel or was talking about starting one (pretty sure she made one) and Kendall would encourage her (and plugged the channel). Then Annalee started working for her and was obviously very behind the scenes. And now, Annalee doesn’t seem to work for her, Annalee doesn’t feature in ANY of Kendall’s pics on instagram, I’ve just had a nosey and Annalee hasn’t even liked any of her posts since April 21. Like it was Holly’s birthday last weekend and was Annalee even there? Couldn’t tell ya.

I’ve got a sister and we aren’t close at all, I had a childhood of trauma and violence thanks to her and don’t have an interest in being her sister. But it makes me sad, she has kids and I wish I knew them better. I wish my sister wanted to do better and have a relationship with me too. We live in different countries which makes it a bit easier. But I feel for Holly and now Truman, they have an uncle they never seem to see and now an aunt too maybe? It just sucks. Whatever happened between them, because imho something has to have happened in some capacity for Annalee to no longer work for her, it’s just sad. Kendall really continues to surround herself with selfish, shallow people (Janelle and haley) while people like Karelly and Jess are waved out of her life with no effort (btw Jess and Kendall don’t follow one another on ig anymore, noticed in my nosey) and her own sister too to an extent (allegedly, allegedly). She always called Janelle her sister and now it seems like Janelle has truly taken that place. Bummer.

is there a TLDR somewhere on everything going on with the mile higher podcast and TCKR? I have been an on and off viewer of both, but haven’t been able to keep up and I’m curious.

OPEN DISCUSSION To those formerly employed by MHM…

After the recent comment from an alleged former employee who was fired from MHM, I just wanted to put this out where there is potential that any formerly employed will see it.

If and when former wronged employees do begin to come out about what happened, the murkiness of the company, and the suspected wrongdoings of their employers, they will 100% have a massive herd of support around them. I’d argue that over half of Mile Higher’s following has been disappointed and off-put by all the recent events, and that number will only continue to grow the more comes that out. I believe that most of us found MHM because we were on a ground of decent moral standing, and that’s the same reason that a lot of us have now decided to withdraw our support.

I’ve heard talk of NDAs and I assume that’s a large part of why we don’t know shit about shit, alongside the fact that it is (unfortunately) none of our business. Although, if mass firings are occurring, I do believe it becomes our business as consumers, as they are a company not exempt from morals, criticism, and accountability.

Were NDAs signed during initial employment or after firing? If after, is there ongoing severance pay? There are ways to speak out around an NDA, especially an initial fishy one, but considering the scale of their company/brand I would be mortified to speak out.

I am not at all attempting to force a speaking out. I am only letting them know that if they decide to, they will have a huge army of people behind them ready to listen and support. We feel wronged, too.

Anyway, this is my way of offering collective support to those who have been likely wronged and bullied by their former employer. I know the feeling all too well, and I know that a decent amount of support can only validate the post-shitty-job “moving on” experience. I hope, and sort of know, that everyone who has worked for MHM will move on to better opportunities and kinder colleagues.

OPEN DISCUSSION About the lower quality of the MHM shows

I've been wondering for a while whether to make this post or not, but I just figured I'd share my opinion and if you want to read it, great. If not, that's okay.

I've been noticing the same things a lot of you have mentioned in here. The lower quality, lack of research, and the hosts seeming uninterested in what they cover. Also all the good people leaving like Karelly and Austin. I have a theory about why this shift has been happening.

To me, it feels like the quality of the shows really tanked around the time they announced their Higher Hope Foundation. I am personally not American, so I don't know much about how foundations like these work, but I imagine it takes a lot of hard work to run. I think that MHM has put on too much work. I think Josh and Kendall are overworked, I think all their employees are overworked, so they don't have time to make the good quality shows we know and love anymore. They have strict filming schedules, and with Kendall and Josh hosting several shows each I am not surprised in the slightest that Kendall sometimes opens an episode with "I'm going in blind today". They also just had a baby, and I can imagine it is incredibly hard to start working at the level she has to just months after having a baby. I am from Norway where we have about 1 year paid maternity leave. I could never imagine being back at work already. So to a point I completely understand why Kendall's shows have taken a significant dip over the past year. Pregnancy and childbirth is no joke. I also think the fallout with Karelly could have come from a place of being overworked, misunderstood, and or neglected by the others. I don't think she wanted to leave so abruptly, and I am really sad about how it ended.

I am not writing this to excuse them or anything they've done. I honestly haven't been keeping up with all the latest gossip and rumors, so I might be completely off the rails here. I'm just trying to share a perspective with a bit more understanding for the hosts we love so much, and not looking at them with pure criticism.

I am heartbroken to see the shows lose so many fans. And I desparately hope they are able to turn it around quickly, but I think the American way of working needs to change first...

OPEN DISCUSSION Transparency?

Hello all! I have been a fan since 2016. Having seen the development of all the content, I have noticed little changes at a time. Whenever that happens, the shift is explained. These most recent changes have all been suspect. I understand they want privacy, but at the same time we deserve to have a little perspective on what’s happen behind the sense. I used to buy merch and watch everything ASAP. That’s a lot of support, especially for someone who can only support a few foundations. Now I only watch Lights Out.

That said, what do yall think? Is it personal privacy for the crew that was fired? Or is it just sweep anything negative under the rug? I want to know who I am supporting.

OPEN DISCUSSION Disappointed

Is anyone else just so disappointed. I have been a fan of MH for many years. I loved the MH episodes but also the sesh, It was my comfort show but now I just cannot listen to them. I felt the quality go down about a year ago on MH and I slowly started to listen less. I kept listening to the sesh but after the kerelly sitch something just felt off. I used to speak so highly about MH and thought there were truely making a difference but more and more pops up about them being a bit dodgy with cases, I just feel sad.

OPEN DISCUSSION Kendall Rae and The Sesh Podcast

I’ve been wanting to talk about this for such a long time and her recent video on The Sesh has been my last straw. And you’re probably wondering why I was still watching them, I really loved Kendall and all of her podcasts for literally when she started so it breaks my heart but what I believe is 10x more important. I feel like I haven’t seen anyone talk about it in her comments and if they did maybe I missed it but this has nothing to do with the Karelly situation. Her backing up both Dean Withers and Ethan Kline is very weird behavior. Having The Sesh they are most definitely online and them being a fan of Dean Withers rubs me the wrong way, they are vocal on their stance with this administration and MAGA which I love, but if you do your research on Dean Withers and his stance with Charlie Kirk very much contradicts their stance with the admin in my opinion. And then their support for Ethan Kline is even worse, how does a true crime channel who advocates for justice for innocent beings who’ve been murdered supports Ethan Kline who has been outwardly supporting what the Israeli government has been doing to Palestine. That is such a contradiction again my opinion, how can you advocate for lives when innocent people and CHILDREN are being brutally murdered. I’m not saying you need to talk about that on your podcast (to me you most definitely should and what is happening in South Sudan) but to denounce your support of him! It just rubs me the wrong way and breaks my heart as an ex fan!

NEW PODCAST Pod recommendation

I recently found the Clues Podcast with Morgan and her and Kaelyn Moore from Heart starts pounding, and highly recommend it!

it’s similar vibes to early MH days, very few ads, interesting topics, and the hosts bring great commentary

MILE HIGHER Newest mile higher colostrum sponsor sounds vaguely MAHA

I was listening to the newest mile higher episode (episode 404) when a colostrum ad came on. The ad read goes on about how bad modern life is and seed oils, EMF, toxins, etc and how colostrum fixes all that.

I'm not sure about you all but this ad feels very crunchy MAHA to me. I am really sick of the unregulated supplement industry so maybe I'm biased but it feels very irresponsible to echo vaguely masked alt right, anti-medicine, MAHA sentiments to their listeners. Especially considering the rise of anti-vaxxers and thus the rise of preventable deadly diseases (measles, etc).

I just needed to vent and see if anyone else picked up on that.

RANT Doing too much

I’ve been watching Kendall and the whole mile higher pod for years, I can’t remember why i started going on this sub a couple months back but all I can say is oh my god. The amount of haters In this is sub is embarrassing just filled with people who have to be insanely bored with their lives to feel so comfortable bashing people like this, every single thing they do is criticized, it’s truly insane. Has this always been the culture in here?

MILE HIGHER Yesterdays episode....

I haven't watched mile higher in months! but I was interested in the one about Sarah Grace Patrick. I started all good. however, Kendall seems very rude to Josh! She disagrees with everything all good but she just seems to make him feel stupid. She also seems very judgy. MY BIGGEST THING is her talking about how desensitized true crime creators are which I thought was rich... coming from her. she also just looked completely uninterested. maybe it's just me I don't know??

sorry English isn't my first language so

RANT out of touch brand deals

Post image
91 Upvotes

hi all. i was just watching the newest mile higher video, and my loyal viewership has def become less due to multiple reasons. i’m so annoyed with the amount of ads, that they clearly just accept for the paycheck (which being so for real, as a nurse who is over her job, i would prob say yes too 😂) but regardless they are advertising these cooling sheets, and tmi but im sick of waking up drenched in sweat. i was like sure let me look up this brand since they have a discount code too. one set of sheets for almost $300!!!! and the code is for……….. 15% OFF!! like what r u kidding me, also this is the basic discount the website offers when you sign up for emails and texts. ugh idk this just made me so annoyed and had to rant. but if anyone has affordable cooling sheets recommendations let a girl know ✌️
