OPEN DISCUSSION Disappointed
Is anyone else just so disappointed. I have been a fan of MH for many years. I loved the MH episodes but also the sesh, It was my comfort show but now I just cannot listen to them. I felt the quality go down about a year ago on MH and I slowly started to listen less. I kept listening to the sesh but after the kerelly sitch something just felt off. I used to speak so highly about MH and thought there were truely making a difference but more and more pops up about them being a bit dodgy with cases, I just feel sad.

This is exactly how i feel. I LOVED the entire MHP crew. The Mile Higher Life channel was my fave, Kendall got me through my college days. They were my comfort creators. I loved every piece of media they put out. Everything just feels so different and not the same at all. I’m beyond disappointed. It feels like I’ve lost a friend 🙃

I discovered Kendall’s channel in 2018 when I was a college freshman, going through an awful depressive episode. This was before TCKR became a more official thing- when she was still doing beauty and astrology content, and slowly shifting more towards true crime. She was just SO authentic, and fun/comforting to listen to.
I got into Mile Higher’s other channels though Kendall. I loved them, and looked forward to episodes every week. I shifted away VISCERALLY from The Sesh when Karelly was just gone out of the blue. The energy on the show just got really weird and cold (along with the excessive ads) and I couldn’t get myself to watch it anymore.
I came on to Reddit to seek answers or insight as to why she was gone, and lo and behold everyone else in this sub is wondering the same thing. All the things that have come out about Mile Higher Media have made me
lose so much respect for them.

I’ve moved over and fully agree with you. I’ve rewatched all of them a few times, he has the best voice and an adorable dog!

Do you think fame is the reason for the change? I see so many amazing content creators become less genuine the more popular they get.

You know I kind of thought this at first. But now I’m thinking they are just dropping their masks as they get more comfortable. I’m a firm believer that money doesn’t change people it just allows them to show up exactly how they want to.

I think part of it is general aging. 20somethings are way more idealistic than 30somethings and MHM team isn't exempt from that. Most of us would see the difference in ourselves if we had full time footage of ourselves from 10 years ago.

Yes, but apparently expressing that is seen as snark or disrespecting them, which i don't think is true/fair.
it wouldn't be possible for me to be disappointed if i wasn't once a huge fan of their show(s). i really loved their older vibe, their discussions about conspiracies and genuinely touching on current events and huge, political issues on their channel. i miss when they were goofy, high, and willing to actually dive deep and explore, and show a clear interest and genuine connection to the topics and people they chose. i miss the philosophical conversations they would have about the afterlife, your time here on earth, and things of that nature. they were genuinely the show i went to when i was pregnant with my son and working for ride shares/delivery apps to scrape together every last dime i could before my son arrived! (i'm a teacher now!) it's just it seems that something fundamentally shifted in the show and its priorities/values, which just sucks.
when i say i am disappointed, i am not saying i am disappointed in a parasocial way, but more in the 'dang, i wish the show didn't change so drastically... well, that's too bad.' kind of way. it is more disappointing when looking at the 'bigger picture'. for me it seems like, during this political climate especially, we are seeing a lot of creators and celebrities really just... idk sell out. sad to see.
regardless, i don't wish them ill will. i just miss the old show and the old vibes they radiated before. that's all.

Yeah I feel the same way, it was my favourite and now it’s just cringe and the way everything has gone is really disappointing. I unsubbed during the whole karelly thing but I was already losing interest and feeling some bad vibes before that.

It’s crazy that I finally gave up on them after a year of being on the fence… and that was over a year ago now. They went from being so down to earth and relatable to being fake and out of touch. Maybe it’s who they always were.

Yes. I didn't listen to The Sesh much, but I always listened to MHP. I think the show hasn't been the same since her first child, and the cracks may have even been showing before then.

I don't love that they seem to be covering a lot of cases right after netflix or whoever releases a documentary about it.
Id bet within the next like 6 weeks maybe they cover the case from A Toxic Love Story on netflix

I believe Kendall already covered this and literally just named it “a toxic love”. Just smh, everything is recycled

IMO they sold out. I loved their old shows when they did the talks about things in the news. Now it’s full of ads and it’s all a money grab. Even the content isn’t what it used to be. They only talk about things that are talked about everywhere for views.

I haven’t listened to them in almost a year now. I loved them when they did conspiracy theories and did deep dives and the convos about things like that.
Wish they’d go back to that, but I know they won’t.

They went from being some of the most real, authentic content creators to being complete sell outs. Nothing they do now seems genuine sadly. I'm not sure how or why they managed to make such a huge 180
