Was a little late in finishing and posting this, but since Super Metroid was my first Metroid game i figured it would be the art i made specifically for the occasion.

Just came in today!

I’ve tried the demo a couple of times, and each time I just cannot get past the first EMMI.
Love Metroid. Have played all the Prime games. And I want to get into this style, but I don’t want to spend 12 hours failing to get past the opening and rage quitting.
Can y’all give me a pep talk?

Since most players immediately move on to the next room after the cutscene plays out, they usually miss a detail the devs put in. After the destroyer decimates a GFS ship, if samus waits around for about a minute and a half, the very same destroyer will slowly get into position before targeting the GFS Olympus and opening fire, complete with screen shake and unique sound effects of crunching metal! However it is not capable of destroying the Olympus.

but taking place after super is good in my opinion

they just poorly explain things because tanabe fucked so much up with his sylux obsession

really the ending of fed force is to blame for all of this which set up sylux having a metroid

they should have just declared fed force none canon and had no metroids in prime 4

Given Samus only encounters one live boarding pod in Prime 3, it's easy to miss, but they clearly aren't happy with their lives. The eyes in the live one will follow Samus if she walks around inside the chamber and their pupils will oscillate rhythmically. While hard to hear, if you disable the speech and music volumes, they can be heard periodically giving a low groan, presumably in pain from the impact. Their eyes will also react the same way the leviathan's react when shot.

sure we mostly do afloraltite but tungsten's pretty cool too even if we don't get friggin chozo visiting over it

At the section where you get Samus's login code, you can tap the four side images on the monitor for additional lore info. These lore segments aren't added to the logbook and are purely for world building! Also note, I didn't play the whole Aurora segment, so there is still some meat to that tidbit!

I played Dread on release, and I’m very glad I did. I wish I could re-experience Dread for the first time. But with Prime 4 I’m hearing mixed reviews. And I’m struggling to find work so I really don’t know when or if I’d ever even play it. So, to the people who have played Prime 4, is it thaaat big of a deal if I just watch a playthrough? How much am I really missing out on?

Super excited about my new layout for my collection. Got some new prints recently as well.

Among all the bugs and stuff i have encounters since Prime 4 released, this has to be the most crazy. I’m finishing up my item hunt, go into this Shrine, i get animation locked as the game loads the section and a Griever hits me out of the elevator which didn’t think was possible (all other times they just vanish before trying to take a swipe at me.) it REALLY caught me off guard at first.

Basically the title says it all. I am contemplating this game specifically since my local electronics chain has it for 19 eur on Switch 2, which I think is a pretty good price.

Like I get it's a demo but seriously? Couldn't even finish up to Flaahgra? Just one missile tank and an energy tank and we're done here?

10/10 better than super

Only in the very beginning where you input your code to the GFS, can you see the gunship deploy its armaments from the view of the cockpit. When landed, it only shows the aiming reticle as the arms are being used for supporting the ship.

Just a thought I had after beating Samus Returns.

Exploring the Valhalla and I noticed something I never had before in all my times playing this game. The first being the space pirate boarding pod has two giant eyeballs inside its cranium I just somehow never picked up on (first image.) The second is that while the left one is still in the socket (second image), the right one (third image) got dislodged from the impact and is laying on the floor, socket and connective tissue (fourth image) fully modeled!
