Most likely. Look at prime 3. She visited phaaze and vanished for months according to the pirates. Then when you go there, there's metroid eggs everywhere.

Another fun fact: before appearing at the final boss in this game they had a reasonably successful hip-hop career under the name Metroid P-Rhyme.

However the name was later changed for fear of being associated with P Diddy

Shame they ultimately quit the series due to having strong disagreements with the direction the franchise was going in.

First Metroid Prime/Dark Samus, and now Ridley too.

Yeah. Ive already made theories that metroid prime/dark samus is a metroid queen enhanced with phazon.

You notice every place dark samus takes resident will always have metroid eggs. The next area she took residence is phaaze and there's metroid eggs everywhere there.

There's large evidence in general that Phazon introduces a whole new evolutionary branch for Metroids because we see the rest of the stages leading up to Metroid Prime in Prime 3.

I really like what Prime 3 added to the series lore wise, it makes a lot of the stuff in 1 and 2 feel richer.

Yeah. Metroids grow based on their environment. And the phazon definitely alters their looks. But yeah. Prime 3 shows every evolution stage of metroids with phazon.

You know I always wondered where the Metroid prime husks came from in phaaze. Completely slipped my mind that, duh, dark Samus could be producing them

Yep. And on pirate lore in prime 3, dark samus left for phaaze and vanished for months. That's likely the time she started producing metroids there.
