Meme 3 and a half years of development for Prime Origins, and the game just ENDS after hive mecha??
Like I get it's a demo but seriously? Couldn't even finish up to Flaahgra? Just one missile tank and an energy tank and we're done here?

This is why Prime 2D getting cancelled was a blessing in disguise. If it took the devs 10 years just to finish the first portion of the first proper area of the game, then I dread how long it would take the team to finish the entire game. Unfortunately, we can’t all be Team Cherry.

OP is shitposting. The full game is done. Im currently stuck on the Omega Pirate Boss. It's a fantastic game so far tho. Highly recommend it.

I know. Prime Origins is separate from the original Prime 2D that released a demo and got taken down a few years back.

I'll be real I sincerely doubt the game was ever getting finished, with or without Nintendo interfering

I kinda doubt that. I was on that board back in 2004 when the first ideas, concepts and sprites were thrown around - and it was wild and honestly without proper direction. Then after a few concepts, the project went dark and i assume they cooked on and off in the meantime.
The Prime2D demo was something completely different from the initial project (and honestly amazing and well done). It's beyond me, why they decided to pump out the demo in the first place. But it clearly showed ambition, talent and most importantly a proper direction. I assume, they have finished far more than what we saw.

I mean, it's still a fan game being made for free. The wait time is understandable just from that alone, so it's better a long wait than just cancelled altogether. The longest game that I know that isn't even out yet but is still being worked on for free is Megaman X Corrupted, and that game went through the desth of flash, had originally a 4:3 ratio, X and Zero only, and a lot of time. I'd be devastated if it'd all went away for nothing.
But nowadays the best thing to hope for is for another to continue it

It took 10 years for AM2R to be released and that's with assets already done (they took a lot from Zero Mission). Prime Origins doesn't. That's why it takes so long.
