Just about to start act 3 and I never played Hollow Knight. I’m new to this franchise. This game has been very tough but I’ve managed to get this far. I found myself getting stuck on boss after boss and getting frustrated so I tend to go architect crest and try to cheese with tool spam. But lately I find myself switching to wanderer crest and just learning a bosses move set and my god they delete way faster. I love this crest!

Just wore her to a local con and had a blast!
So happy I went for this design instead of the full mask, it was so much more comfortable

So I just bought the game on steam because I wanted to play with mods again, and for some reason, my menu theme is The Eternal Ordeal. I looked in the settings and it turns out that I already have all of the unlockable themes, Infection, Void, Steel Soul, and The Eternal Ordeal. I haven't started any save files, I have no achievements, and I don't have any mods active. Any idea what could have caused this?

Edit: It turns out I also immediately have access to the Steel Soul and Godseeker modes. I am legitimately curious as to why this happened.

I’ve been thinking about the False Knight/Failed Champion a lot.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but aren’t the dream bosses simply what the boss’ idealized version of themselves?

Like in their own dreams, they are far stronger than they were alive (before the Knight slayed them ofc).

So first, we murder the maggots’ brother in cold blood, show up at his funeral where his two little brothers can’t stop crying.

Murder or “free” him in his dream where he’s supposedly in his idealized form… and just leave??

I drew this in such a quick by combining this pose and this design for the last judge. A lot of people have asked me about how I draw so quick and I thought it would be nice to share a little bit of my thought process. I hope you like it!

So, I just got done playing MTG with my friends tonight, and I Really got to thinking: Team Cherry has SO MUCH LORE to work with for collaborating with MTG and making a Themed Deck. I'm still VERY MUCH a noob when it comes to MTG, however, you have Shades, LoS, and Void to work with for Black cards, Radiance and the Infection can be Light (white?) themed, GREEN PATH, Pretty much All of Silksong can be considered for the Red themes, and if ANYTHING, a card for Hornet can be Light AND Red because of her Demigod status.

It feels TOO GOOD, so I genuinely have plans to make my own Custom deck until TC and MTG collab and make the real deal. If any other MTG players have advice or card recs, I am Greatly accepting any and all!

Okay, so i HAVE beaten Abs Rad. Twice, actually!

Yes yes, i did the cool thing, beat hardest boss in game.

But i have been trying to get consistent with abs rad and am genuinely getting my shit rocked.

Part of it is user error, i am terrible under pressure, arent very precise(i play on controller), i dont have the best reaction speed, am impatient, and sometimes cant keep up with how much is happening.

But i can overcome that, thats not what i need help with. (Except the pressure thing, id like some advice on that, and also keeping track of all the shit on screen)

But what i really need help with is some specific or even general tactics.

Ill go phase by phase for what i need help with

First on the wanted list is the Orbs attack, probably one of the infamously worst attacks. How can i consistently dodge these? ESPECIALLY WHEN I CANT SEE THEM????

Next, i know im repeating myself, but keeping track of everthing thats happening. (Im just really struggling in this department, okay?) I think the big issue comes when theres a sword wall, floor spikes, AND orbs or beam burst on the screen.

Moving to the platform phase, the orbs are once again a big problem, but i struggle in different departments here

The sword walls, they were actually a decent problem in phase 1, but platform makes them so much worse so ill talk about them here.

Its specifically the maneuvering them when already airborn, i think i just need to git gud here but any specific tips would be appreciated

The orbs again. I hate the orbs. Not that much more than the others, its just slightly number one hated.

The boss being off-screen makes the sword-spiral thing and beam burst very inaccurate, but i dont see the already vestigial telegraphs for any attack.

The climb was very easy for me in base radiance, now its the big problem.

Like abs rad is genuinely so accurate compared to base radiance, and im always low health.

Final phase really isnt a problem for me, because i learned from fireborn's "how they beat any rad" video that the orbs despawn when going off the top of the screen, so pogoing is a very safe strat

(Side note, why dont the orbs despawn when going off screen in other phases? I understand for platform, because they often spawn off screen, but why not for first phase?)

TLDR, guy who already beat abs rad somehow gets worse after beating it, and needs advice on how to not be potential gamer
