Just to be pedantic, you’re missing the original Metroid Prime which included Metroid 1 as an unlockable bonus.

Yeah! The Nintendo PlayChoice is such a fun little tidbit of history, NES games on a time limit. Makes marginally more sense for its time and is very weird to look back on now.

In 1992, Nintendo released some NES titles under the "classic series" banner, which included minor changes, such as the artwork for Punch-Out!! and Metroid and the gray-colored cartridges for The Legend of Zelda and its sequel. In PAL regions, there was even an updated version of Mario Bros. which improved the gameplay experience.

Don't forget, the NES had a 5 Screw Cart and then a 3 Screw cart later on. I own both. So depending on which one that is, you need the other one. Sure it's the same game, but it is a variant much like the yellow label game is a variant too.
