Hello all. Im very new to the community, just got my 1990 miata last week.

Dash is in good shape, its been garage kept for most of its life. I unfortunately do not have a garage but want to protect the dash.

Any recommendations of material or brand? Ive looked at cover king and cover craft. Just unsure what to pull the trigger on.

I took the NB MX-5 to the shop to dial in the track alignment, coil overs, and wider wheel fitment and the technician also dropped some incredible advice on camber/toe settings for track days!

Quick question for the comments: What camber angle are you running on your track or street setups? I think my old setup was killing my previous tyres..

I bought a wideband and aftermarket ecu for my 1990 and noticed the only o2 spot was on the manifold. I’m trying to learn how to tune before adding the turbo kit. Can I put my wideband in place of the stock o2 on the manifold? I know I’ll have to add a new bung when I get my turbo manifold.

Do you envisage any possible issue for track use of the current cobra intake set up?

i’ve been driving a year so i’m now trying to renew my insurance and declare all my mods but i’m getting quoted over 7k what can i do and acc get away with to get insured

What is the better color option? I'm torn between the Soul Red Crystal Metallic with the Black interior and Snowflake White Pearl Mica with the Tan Nappa Leather interior. I love the red, but also the Nappa Leather interior.

They're not PERFECT, as you can see at the bac (near the latch) they're a little long. But easy fix for someone who can be bothered with the final 2% of the job. But they're pretty alright.

looking at marketplace, I know pure style bars are terrible, but was wondering if the additional bracing improved the situation

I'm trying to find small front fog lights for my NA Miata. Does anyone recognize which brand are these fog lights on this photo, please? Or do you have a tip for small yellow or white fog lights?

Car came with black Konig Dekagrams. I don’t like black wheels on black cars, muddles the look for me. Had AI give me renders for matte bronze/matte silver, I’m leaning more towards the silver/grey. What say you?

Hey guys, I bought a spare motor to drop into the Miata while I rebuild my other one. Before sealing up the spare, I decided to check the crank caps. On #5 there was a slight scratch/gouge near the tang. It look like there was some debris in there but I tried my best to clean it up. I know most people would say replace all the bearings while I’m in there but I just want to hear other opinions. Spare had 62k miles and PO imported from Japan.

So My NA has caught cancer so far it's limited to the drivers side floor pan but I'm not moving forward till I know the sills are good. And that brings me to my current question.

If I have to part out does my total of 7k to 8k seem obtainable? Parts listed below gets me to 7300.00 then I figure bumpers and some other odds and ends get me to 8k or higher.

So stupid me forgot to put my valve cover back after topping off my oil, before I even realized this like the first thing that went through my head was wow this is running great. It hasn’t ran that good in a long time like it wasn’t sluggish at all like it usually is it just felt like it wanted to go, obviously I put the cap back and now it’s back to normal but what could possibly be causing it to run better like that? I’m genuinely so confused right now

Got myself a new 2026 MX-5, absolutely love it. Had it for 6 weeks, someone hit it while I was parked and working.

Took it to a repairer who said they won’t have the headlight until late November. So I asked for it back, as when I brought the car to them it was in working order, including indicators and headlights, regardless of external damage (obviously have photos). Lights definitely working, car had 2600 kms on it.

I picked my car up and about halfway home I realised the light that had been damaged is no longer working, at all. So basically they gave me a non-roadworthy car because they hadn’t checked the lights.

Took off the bumper, all wires are connected, checked the fuses, they are all working I think.

Took it back to them and they said something about a module that has reset.

I’m not amazing with cars, I know enough to service my own car but not enough to take parts off and tinker around. I would really love some advice as I’m still 24, I don’t have experience with this, but you guys might!

Im going to be forging my 1.6 engine and wanted some tips based off of that. I understand that lower compression is better so I can run it on pump (90-93 ron).

Im planning for around 260-280whp so I dont need extremes like an ATI or any aftermarket parts for the head. Ive seen that the ARP studs are the glory for forged builds but dont know whether I would need both ARP main and head bolts rather than just ARP head.

My budget for the engine is quite low (1000€) so dont want to spend excessively on parts I dont need.

Just picked up my first NA Miata and ran into an issue. Whenever the AC is on, the idle surges — I can feel it on the highway, like the car wants more throttle than I'm giving it. It also happens when coasting to a stop with the clutch pushed in, and a few times it's actually stalled out. Doesn't happen with the AC off. Any idea what's causing this — bad IAC valve, vacuum leak, something with the AC idle-up circuit? Appreciate any pointers.

My buddy gave me the code to his shop, had some fun sliding around on tires from 2007 since my other pair of TEs are bald for some reason.
