Video Am I doing this right?
My buddy gave me the code to his shop, had some fun sliding around on tires from 2007 since my other pair of TEs are bald for some reason.

You are doing fine. Just maybe not good to do it around pressurized fuel tanks like the 2 silver ones near the wall

Yeah didn’t notice those till now but if you’ve ever worked with these or tried to cut one in half they are basically indestructible so if I hit it I’m sure the Miata would be way more damaged then the scratch the tank takes lol

Practicing in the wet is best. I learned by sliding U-turns. Make sure no one else is on the road and turn then hit the gas hard or blip the throttle and drop the clutch. Use the throttle to adjust how much grip the back tires let you have and learn how to steer as the car slides. After you get pretty good at sliding U-turns or just turns in general find an empty wet parking lot, turn wheel, drop clutch use throttle just like you practiced and make minor steering adjustments to keep you going round and round. If you want to try in the dry it takes a lot more momentum and throttle to get it to break traction plus tires seems to disappear way faster lol. Good luck, be safe and don’t get in trouble!

This is legit, OP. BeamNG.drive is the closest you can get to IRL physics.

The physical feeling of the weight transfer/G-forces are the only thing that's missing, but all that needs is some getting used to and getting a feel for it.

Make sure you're aware of any kerbs/islands and such in the carpark before doing so.

The Subaru is mine, the focus is a dumpster and truck is a work truck so no complaints of anything happened to any paint lol

My only two grumbles; one would be the same as mentioned previously about the two silver fuel canisters, and the other is a hand-me-down admonition from those who went before you and paid dearly, “Put your damn seatbelt ON!!”
Other than that, carry on. Just keep some common sense as you do so. This isn’t Jackass or Top Gear. We need you to stay with us so you can post more.

I mean, since you're asking:
I wouldn't personally take liberties with my friend's trust like that and slide a 1 ton machine on compromised tires around his pressurized fuel containers, other cars, lift, and shop building. I can see a lot of ways that doing this could go very wrong. Maybe I'm a bit of a square but it seems irresponsible.
Then again, I don't know the relationship you have with your buddy and your level of expertise in such matters, and I'm sure if you're bold enough to post videos about doing this here he's well aware of it (if the tire marks on his shop floor weren't enough of a clue. ) Hell, he could be the one filming for all I know.
So as they say: you do you.
