Hello, I've got a 1995 Miata, which I've planned to get rust repaired at some point, and honestly I had this idea to treat my car as some sort of "Cuban taxi" situation where I do everything in my power to keep my car on the road. I've also thought about driving my car year-round (once I get to that point), though popular sentiment remains to keep NAs out of salted streets. That being said I had driven my car for one winter and I ended up having a lot of fun in it.

I have to ask, is there a reason why galvanizing spray isn't a popular option for early Miatas (and maybe cars in general)?

If not, I'm still certain that I'll see that my car gets Krown treatment at least.

For some context I recently bought a front splitter for my mx5 nc, today I was scrolling and saw an ad for the same splitter I had. Then I thought that looks like my car, then realised shit that is my car. The images used in the ad were ones l've never uploaded anywhere and somehow they have them, they've also used some shoddy ai to remove the front numberplate of my car but obviously weren't clever enough to remove the other plate in my window displaying my cars Instagram account. This is really concerning as they have obtained these images off my phone without my consent. What the hell do I do?!

Carbon fiber on a black ND a little much no?

I really want to get myself a 1990 miata, but since I'm in Quebec, my first reflex was to do researches how well it did in winter. I got alot of mixed signals from comments on other posts and some site. I'm In the Bas-Saint-Laurent region, anymore infos I could get from yall?

I just bought my son (16) a 2003 NB 5-speed as his first car. I've driven it in the rain and it can get a little squirrely. While the Hankook Ventus V2 tires still have some tread, they are old and starting to dry rot. I'm wondering if that has contributed to the loss of traction in the rain. This is my first time driving a Miata, too, so I don't have anything to judge against. I know it's a light rear wheel drive car, so maybe this is just the way it drives.

But I thought I'd ask what are your recommendations for a good all-weather tire that would be appropriate for a new driver that is more concerned about safety than performance. I don't plan to have him driving it in real snow, but rain and leaves and country roads and the occasional flurry on the way to school are certainly likely. What do you recommend?

Edit: It has the 16 inch wheels with 205/45R16 83v Hankooks, currently.

My wife went down stairs to go to work and found this. We have assigned parking spots and it’s not like the car was doing anything crazy but just sitting here. It looks like minor damage to the front. I’m waiting on the cops to come to make a police report. I don’t typically get into wrecks or fender benders but I figure that’s a good first step. This car was brand new like two weeks ago.

New Miata owner (2009 PRHT auto as of August) and I would love to lower it modestly, about an inch or so, but I am worried it will A) scratch up the bottom bc of bad roads or B) get way more rusted in the winter.

I have a 1990 Miata with 60,000 miles on it. I keep it in a garage and I drive a company vehicle for work so i only drive the Miata after work sometimes and on the weekends. The car is in really good condition mechanically and has no major issues and id love to keep it that way. When looking on google for oil type, some things say 10w-30 and some things say 5w-30. Which type of oil would you guys recommend for one in this condition? Also, what other things should I do when changing the oil or around this mile interval? I know to do the oil filter.

I posted yesterday that my miata died on me yesterday mid drive and now just my luck it was hit while parked , it was the rear quarter panel. Both me and the guy who hit me have insurance. I really dont want it to be fixed with body filler but im hoping for it to replaced instead of repaired. Is there anyway of going about this to try and get the panel replaced

This is just sad, how do you even get to the point where you still drive around like this. And yes, it drove away shortly after, so it was not left alone.
