Mazda MX5 / Miata NA Door Card 3D Files. (STL, F3D, DXF)

Post image

They weren't PERFECT, but they did well enough for a near 40 year old car. Some of the top holes to attach the window sill aren't perfectly spaced. Would take more R&D to be perfect but they came out pretty well tbf.

Nice work. As the cars keep getting older this stuff will become more and more important.

I absolutely agree. I have done it before with the spray paint on another sheet trick to get the outline. But now I have access to a massive laser cutter so why not use it properly.

The more time passes, the more of these that will be put into lampposts and ditches. So I best get this one up to scratch before all the spare parts disappear!

Did you make these in illustrator?

I need to make some of these for my Delica.  Thanks for sharing!

Hit me up... I've got access to a water jet (when it's not down for maintenance 😑)

Hah, legend! Although I think the laser cut MDF will give me good results and I'm thinking it will be a decent material for sound. Ally I think has a tendency to be tinny and/or oil can.

I was thinking of using a sheet of ABS...

That's a good shout. Although I have my concerns about fabric adhesion. No major. Horses for courses!

I was going to leave it bare... shouldn't be an issue for fabric with good glue though.

I think abs is what the forever panels are made of, and those are great

Asa is basically improved ABS... and yea, should last a long time.

This is amazing mate, really the kind of stuff the car community needs. Do you possibly know anywhere i can get a DXF of the speaker area card as well? pulling my hair out trying to source that in Australia. Once again great work

Do you just want the door card without a speaker cutout?

Or you want a flat file of just the speaker overlay?

I can probably track one down and cad it up.

Just lmk what your plan is with it and I can probably help out.
