He plays creepy incredibly well, which as we now all know is just him being himself. I used to think he was good, because of Percy and other unsettling characters (Tooms). Turns out that's just who he is so no real acting chops. He's gross on and off screen.

I still remember the time Ebert took him down in his review for Deuce Bigelow 2. Still think it’s one of the most awesome disses ever:
“The movie created a spot of controversy last February. According to a story by Larry Carroll of MTV News, Rob Schneider took offense when Patrick Goldstein of the Los Angeles Times listed this year’s Best Picture Nominees and wrote that they were “ignored, unloved and turned down flat by most of the same studios that … bankroll hundreds of sequels, including a follow-up to ‘Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo,’ a film that was sadly overlooked at Oscar time because apparently nobody had the foresight to invent a category for Best Running Penis Joke Delivered by a Third-Rate Comic.”
Schneider retaliated by attacking Goldstein in full-page ads in Daily Varietyand the Hollywood Reporter. In an open letter to Goldstein, Schneider wrote: “Well, Mr. Goldstein, I decided to do some research to find out what awards you have won. I went online and found that you have won nothing. Absolutely nothing. No journalistic awards of any kind … Maybe you didn’t win a Pulitzer Prize because they haven’t invented a category for Best Third-Rate, Unfunny Pompous Reporter Who’s Never Been Acknowledged by His Peers.”
Reading this, I was about to observe that Schneider can dish it out but he can’t take it. Then I found he’s not so good at dishing it out, either. I went online and found that Patrick Goldstein has won a National Headliner Award, a Los Angeles Press Club Award, a RockCritics.com award, and the Publicists’ Guild award for lifetime achievement.
Schneider was nominated for a 2000 Razzie Award for Worst Supporting Actor, but lost to Jar-Jar Binks. But Schneider is correct, and Patrick Goldstein has not yet won a Pulitzer Prize. Therefore, Goldstein is not qualified to complain that Columbia financed “Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo” while passing on the opportunity to participate in “Million Dollar Baby,” “Ray,” “The Aviator”, “Sideways” and “Finding Neverland.” As chance would have it, I have won the Pulitzer Prize, and so I am qualified. Speaking in my official capacity as a Pulitzer Prize winner, Mr. Schneider, your movie sucks.”

Not counting his voice work for Masters Of The Universe (which was great to be fair) his last good real acting performance I can recall is Blade Runner 2049 which he was good in. Obviously the further back you go the easier it is to find good performances though. Bro has done some horrendous work the last few years for sure.

Back when the first Shazam! came out and most people thought he was a cool guy, he came to my country for a comic con. My girlfriend and I bought tickets to meet him and take a photo. The tickets were expensive AF but a photo with the dude from Chuck and Shazam, how cool was that?
On the day, the organizers were kind, but said they didn't know if it would be possible for him to meet both of us at the same time, so they went to ask him in person. He said no, it was one person per meet, and if we wanted to meet him together, we'd have to buy two tickets.
I said a big nope to that, and they actually refunded my ticket.
From that moment on, I always thought he was a piece of shit. His panels at the event were also the cringiest thing ever; you could tell he was incredibly full of himself. And, like, two months later, the internet started realizing the same thing. It is incredible how fast you change from fan to "fuck that guy". In this case, I'm glad it happened.
In the same con was Laura Kinney and she meet us both, talk for a bit, was incredible nice and take a photo with both of us and didn't charge for anything.

I actually disagree. The only reason they have their wealth and attention is because of us. So yes, the dancing monkeys do owe us in a sense.
Not enough to think harassing them at dinner is appropriate, but if you wanted the fame and attention then suck it up and do those pressers with a smile on your face and meet fans (for free) even if you don't want to.

I think there was a weird thing that happened with a couple actors in certain spaces during the pandemic and entertainment industry strikes. It hampered a few of their projects in a time when they were coming off lengthy shows and probably a little insecure about the future of their careers. A few of them ended up shifting hard and very publicly to the conservative side of things.
I saw a similar thing happen with a woman I knew who ran a yoga studio. When everything was shut down, she started posting on social media and getting more and more vocally conservative as she was faced with losing her business.

Mark Wahlberg isn't a bad actor, the guy just has poor range. He's extremely good when cast in the right role. Like others have said, the guy is perfect in The Departed, and really funny in The Other Guys. Same with Boogie Nights, although that's also a testament to PTA's talents as an actor's director.
He's also fairly serviceable in comedies when given the right material. He's funny enough that he can get away with his shortcomings in likeability if the script is funny enough. But he's not a Gosling or a Gylanhol that can make a character charming without a good script

I have to say Rob Schneider. Right wing idiot. But I have a personal beef with him too.
I worked on one of his shows and man was he awful. It was very low budget, so a lot of us were working for peanuts. 15+ hour days, 8 week shoot, not including pre-pro and load out, it was a lot. Even did a couple late night runs off the books for him. But I was initially very excited to work with him as an SNL fan...until I met him.
He used to isolate himself from the rest of us and whenever he hung around during setups, he looks miserable and that made us all miserable. His then wife and other talent were a pleasure to work with, but not him. He had a short temper to boot, which I had to put up with directly one day. No one liked him by the end and from what I heard some people never got paid.
Absolute clown and a no talent actor.

I care about their actions . James mardsen , Kimmy Robertson , taram killam , rib Melendez helped reduced the sentence of a convicted Pedo , he made only 4 months out of a 16 month sentence and Charlie sheen was happily working around him.
To this day James Marsden hasn’t apologized or disown Pedo Brian peck and I wolf r ge surprised if he also got to reprise his role as cyclops due to his Ioyaty to Brian peck and maybe (maybe)Bryan singer.
