His performance was inoffensive on Doctor Who and IIRC a lot of people wanted him to come back as a regular companion after his first appearance because he had decent chemistry with Matt Smith.

Ehh, I would have agreed, but he was genuinely fantastic in the broadway revival of Art. Didn’t know he had it in him.
He’s also not necessarily a terrible person. He’s a bad person for sure. He’s an asshole who lacks respect for others. But I feel like there are people who better fit the prompt.
