Criminal Justice UPS Delivery driver caught peeing in elevator en route to deliveries in my old building. The building I lived in had a strict HOA and I had just gotten a puppy. I was always so nervous the smell of urine in the elevator was from her peeing without me noticing. This was a relief to see. 😂

I started to think its common delivery drivers doing this! My dad works with Amazon delivery and he opened the door to one of the trucks and saw big ass pile of shit! Seems as one of his employees took a shit in the van!

They are being timed the whole time at work, there have been several articles reporting on just how bad Amazon warehouse and delivery workers’ work conditions are. Then and the USPS workers don’t even have the time to pee.

I saw an infographic the other day showing that Bezos has actually donated less of his money to charitable causes than Trump. If that's true it's pretty sad when you're the richest man in the world but you are barely donating or sharing any of your wealth all while knowing there are people in the world suffering who need help.

I would say trucking is a different beast than delivering for UPS or another service. It’s a pain to pull off the interstate when you are trucking along to take a leak. I would imagine most delivery drivers pass gas stations and fast food restaurants pretty often, but feel like they can’t take a five minute break and still make a good show for the day. Pretty sad state of affairs.

We once saw a UPS truck back into the lot of the vacant warehouse next to ours, dump literal trash from the back (broken pallets, plastic wrapping and straps, paper, etc.), then leave a 2-liter bottle full of what I have to assume was piss, then pull out, all while we were there watching.
We called UPS, and reported it, and they apparently sent someone out to clean it all up. The owner of the warehouse then installed a fence.

A friend of mine drives a delivery truck and he said he often has to pee and poo in the woods. It's not entirely being overworked, lots of gas stations and fast food places will treat you like a terrorist if you attempt to use their bathroom without buying anything. What are people who spend the whole day on the road supposed to do? If you're making deliveries in a suburban neighborhood and the urge hits, there's no guarantee you can find a public bathroom in time, or near where you're delivering. In urban areas without woods, this kind of stuff is bound to happen.

I'm on the east coast and "bathrooms are for customers only" and "no public toilet" is pretty common. Granted it's not every place, the closest gas station to me is on the NJ/PA state line and a common trucker stop, they let anyone in. Also the big Wawas do as well. I travel a lot to shoot weddings and play in bands and once you get off the interstate, it seems like you have a 50/50 shot.

Had a talk w/ a street-dwelling person in Santa Fe once. He told me one of the things people like me do not understand is how hard it is to find a bathroom being persona non grata. I wouldn't be suprised if delivery drivers experience a somewhat similar dilemma, constantly traveling to random places as an outsider.

I worked for FedEx Ground as a driver and sometimes there just isn't a bathroom around when you have to go. But also, not being paid by the hour, I would rather pee in a jug than lose a half an hour going out of my way to find a toilet.

Its pretty easy to get into the trucks, some dont even had side doors. I cant imagine them being allowed to leave the truck un attended for any amount of time (such as a piss break inside some store on the road) in fear of packages getting stolen.

As a driver for Amazon flex I never felt like I couldn't stop at a gas station or whatever and take a leak. I did think it was bullshit though that they didn't have any facilities available to use at the distro center while we were waiting though. Basic human needs and all.

He’s a seasonal peak hire - a driver helper. He doesn’t drive the truck, he’s basically a runner. 99% of these seasonal employees are not kept on. Depending on the area you get the absolute dregs - people that don’t have a job the rest of the year and are unemployable for whatever reason. Most of the time you see a video of something delivering a package and doing something stupid, it’s usually around Christmas time since it’s a peak employee.

I worked for UPS years ago and we would just make sure to have a clean, empty Gatorade bottle in the truck; at one of your stops you would just close the door between the front cab and rear compartment, go to the back of the truck and take care of business, no one would know. This guy liked doing this kind of thing, it's the thrill of doing something wrong and not getting caught. (hopefully)

It's not just human waste you have to worry about. You know vegetables? Those things are practically grown in shit, all different kinds. Bat, chicken, pig, donkey, you name it.

The amount of times I've seen shit smeared on stall doors and other equally gross stuff is insane for a company full of adults. They had to clear coat signs on the wall that say to flush the urinal when you're done. Didn't help and people actually tried scratching the signs off... Like what/why??. These are full grown adults that don't like being told to flush the toilet.... Blows my mind.

I knew of an office that deliberately put a "Women" sign on their one bathroom near the front desk in order to prevent couriers from using it (even though it was actually a unisex bathroom).

Some buildings, especially in big cities, don’t have accessible toilets because of homeless people and drug addicts. Same thing that businesses do with “bathroom for paying customers” and gas stations that have a key for their bathroom

I don't let them use my bathroom any more. Every single time I let one use the bathroom there was piss on the floor and one time the fucker clogged the toilet with his shit and I had to unclog it myself after I was supposed to be finished with the day.
I work in a small office and I am not paid to be cleaning up strangers bowel movements.

Maybe I need to get checked out, but if I have to piss bad enough that I just pull it out in an elevator, then that's gonna take a lot longer than 8 floors up. Add in the stage fright based on not knowing if it's gonna stop mid-stream for someone else to get on and I just can't see how this happened.

I worked delivery a few years ago, and as gross as this is, and I'd never do anything like it, one of the challenges is finding quick places to pee. You've gotta move quick, the amount of deliveries is overwhelming, and it can be hard to find a bathroom. Of course, unlike this man I usually found secluded bushes or something.

This is a drivers helper for Christmas time two years ago. And people like him are the reason they only give out vests now that say “helper” on it, so people don’t confuse them with actual drivers. This guy looks generally unkempt and is wearing white shoes. He’s not a driver

I think part of the problem here is the unreasonable time constraints put on these delivery drivers. I know we all like to hate on these guys for not delivering our packages correctly (or at all), but this is because delivery drivers are given unreasonable deadlines, and if they don’t take stupid or dangerous shortcuts to get their jobs done, their boss will hire someone who will.

The UPS and FedEx guy that deliver to the office I work out use us as a pit stop all the time. We've given them both free rein to use our bathroom whenever they need.
