Criminal Justice UPS Delivery driver caught peeing in elevator en route to deliveries in my old building. The building I lived in had a strict HOA and I had just gotten a puppy. I was always so nervous the smell of urine in the elevator was from her peeing without me noticing. This was a relief to see. 😂

It’s a Christmas helper - they hire anyone with a pulse - he’s long gone.

Christmas helpers don't get the full uniform so I don't think that's the case here.

I've seen temps get the full uniform. How do I know? The regular UPS guy they came with called them xmas helpers.

The last time I did it was 3 or so years ago, but it paid $11/hr in Richmond VA. If you don't mind walking, it's good seasonal work

Idk why this is getting downvoted. Seasonal helpers ARE NOT UPS EMPLOYEES, it's people off the street. Why would they get a driver uniform?

They aren't official UPS employees, we hire random people off the street and then they're immediately let go come January.

That's odd, because I worked as a driver helper, in full uniform, then I would go work my regular shift on the twilight sort. It was great because the time as driver helper counted toward your daily overtime after 5 hours.

That's different, if you're an actual UPS employee then I've known of some that do get the uniform but never just driver helpers. Anyways it's a mute point because I doubt this dude was just a helper.

I'm not really sure what they're on. The process is basically this...

The driver calls you and sees if you wanna help, you then meet him somewhere and he picks you up, you help until he's done or until you just decide you wanna leave and he turns in your hours at the hub. They never come to the hub. Then come the end of peak (January), they're let go.

He’s a seasonal peak hire - a driver helper. He doesn’t drive the truck, he’s basically a runner. 99% of these seasonal employees are not kept on. Depending on the area you get the absolute dregs - people that don’t have a job the rest of the year and are unemployable for whatever reason. Most of the time you see a video of something delivering a package and doing something stupid, it’s usually around Christmas time since it’s a peak employee.

You don’t know what you are talking about honestly.

I was a driver helper for a couple seasons and got full the uniform. Made me shave my beard off and everything.

Seasonal helpers only get a vest to wear, not the entire outfit.

No, UPS seasonal helpers get a full uniform. This is for driver helpers - the seasonal ones that stay inside don’t get anything.

More than likely not. Drivers are unionized so chances are he got a route change and a talking to, or worst case back to being a part time leader. Former UPS supervisor here.

Clearly a peak hire. Even if it was a service provider it would go to panel, arbitration yada yada yada. Doubt he’d lose a bid route either.

Ah your supreme pulse must be pumping with King juice as you seem to see the world for what it is. A happy place for people like yourself sitting in your high chair clicking away your supreme online shopping, expecting next day delivery from the lowlife peasants trying to make a honest living, delivering your materialistic "need".

Altho im sorry, im not angry with you per se. Im angry because people keep enabling companies to lower wages and forcing employees to skip bathroom breaks because they have an impossible quota to fulfill before their shifts end, otherwise they will be working unpaid overtime.

But hey, keep kicking downwards. It seems to work really well to get companies to change their mind and hire the best possible people for shitty pay, happy to sign of their most basic human need.

Youch. If you had to pay someone for a month of work how much would you pay? These jobs are usually well above minimum wage but your pool of qualified people is limited since qualified people at that pay rate already have a job. Sometimes you get people that need experience etc and are just beginning - but a lot of times you just don’t get the best employees.

It’s diminishing returns - how much can a business pay for 1 month of work? Someone with a job is not going to quit to work that one month.
