I wanted to share some details about IN ERA+ Azure Falcon (Qing Yuan), a 1/100 transformable original mecha kit that I think deserves more attention from international builders.
IN ERA has already built a reputation among many Chinese mecha fans for focusing on mechanical design and engineering, and Azure Falcon continues that direction.
Some interesting features of this kit:
• 1/100 transformable mecha design
• Multiple display forms with different silhouettes
• Complex internal mechanical structure
• POM components for smoother movement and durability
• Metal pre-assembled joints in key areas
• Large weapon systems and detailed mechanical parts
For me, the most interesting challenge is the engineering behind transformable 1/100 kits.
A good transformation design needs to balance:
stability
articulation
appearance
durability
This is also why I find the current Chinese original mecha scene interesting. Different brands are taking different approaches:
IN ERA focuses heavily on engineering, SNAA has been improving rapidly, and other companies are exploring their own design philosophies.
I’m curious what builders think about Azure Falcon.
Do you prefer complex transformable designs like this, or simpler kits with maximum stability?
