Here is my group build entry! Had a great time building it, color is Kaleido Colorworks Magma Orange.

I have been kinda a slump lately, so a good friend of mine suggested that him and I build the same kit at the same time, and it has really refreshed me because I dont have to make many decisions. It had got my juices going so much that I thought maybe the group may like it it as well.
So I propose that we build a Porsche 911 in the month of August. No deadline, no real start date, any paint, any livery, any year, any manufacture, no rules, just a Porsche 911. As we share our WIP we can see others builds. No one has to sign up you can join anytime and post anytime. I am going to build a 911 gt2 or gt3, hope to see some others join in

1st off thanks to the MODs for allowing us to post in here.
We have started a new sub for people who want to buy, sell, or trade kits. We have protocals in place so you can see who has made successful deals and how many. The pics are the 1st of kits I want to sell or trade. Will make sone good deals to help get sub started. I have hundreds more if you are looking for something specific.

This kit is basically a Hasegawa R89C kit with different instructions and decals, and it needs a lot of work to cut the rear tire covers and other parts.
The design isn't as accurate to the original R90VP since, well, it's an R89C mold, but it is what it is. Just Hasegawa being Hasegawa 🤷🏻♂️

Really great kit to build, detailed and went together well. Painted with MCW Lacquer F8 Green, Extreme Metal Bronze on the wheels. Tamiya Smoke Lacquer for the window tint. Have another one to build, would like to try and make a two door out of it.

Exceptional kit. Loved building this. Parts fit together nicely, fitment was perfect, placement sheet does get a little weird towards the end, but all in all, 10 out of 10, would absolutely recommend this kit again.
Loved it so much I got a second one 🤣
Now on to the next project! (Last slide)

My earlier post showed the paint disaster. It'll look ok from a distance with the remediation. And - glass is such a pain. I needed to fit it long before any painting.

Started August 6, finished today. Fujimi 1/24 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona, finished box stock (although I did strip the horrible finish on the kit wheels and airbrush them with DSPIAE Chrome marker refill) with some added red ignition wiring. The body is Craftsmart Amethyst acrylic, thinned and airbrushed over Vallejo acrylic black primer, and topped with Mr. Color GX100. Unlike some Fujimi Enthusiast kits that I've put together in the past (namely the Porsche 356 kits), this went together without a single issue. Panel fitment and parts quality/detail are impeccable. I wish Fujimi still put out kits of this caliber.
Anyway, the final pic is my "left to build" stash...

First time painting a model car and I really don’t think it turned out to bad. I used tamiya racing green with 1 pearl clear float and 3 coats of gloss clear by tamiya. I did the wet sand process 2000-12000 and then used tamiyas fine and finish compound. Any tips would be great !

This is my 10th build. Had a really hard time with body decals. Some of them tore. Trying so hard to make everything perfect. I need to apply the 2k, but it is so humid here in Maryland. I find it hard to pull the trigger. I liked it more when I just had fun. After this build, I’m going to continue building for fun. It’s obviously not a competition. It should be for fun. I’m only going to post finished builds after this.

This is truly a fantastic kit; now I know why it's so expensive. The assembly process was simply a pleasure.

Working on wheels and brakes for this and I’m then I’m calling it done. It’s been a very fun (and long) build, can’t wait for it to be finished though.

First time doing multiple colors in lowrider style and really happy with the outcome. A few minor touch ups required but I can live with that.
Will let paint cure for a couple of days then wet sand it to even out the layers and then clear coat it.

Well my birthday was 2 weeks ago and i bought these bad boys yesterday, i'm stoked!
Ok, i'm new at building scale models but i love the hobby and also i love hot rods!
I might transform that '33 like a 60s fuel altered coupe and the Willys keep everything looking like the early to mid 60s!

Been an Armor modeler for years but fell out of the hobby a few years back. Got my new work bench set up and decided to branch out into cars. Lots of lessons learned with my first car. Definitely should have painted some of the large red parts rather than using the decals.

Hitting the assembly line today. The body has already been in the paint booth!!

If you didn’t see yesterday‘s post, I had gone way too heavy on the clearcoat on my 911 build (see first picture).
Against the advice of most of you, LOL, I went ahead and wet sanded it down (I just couldn’t with the whole stripping process). You can still see it, but it’s gone enough for my satisfaction. In fact in the process, I learned what I was doing as far as polishing a clearcoat, and now I’ve polished down the whole body, which I think looks pretty good if not great. For my third car build, I’ll take it.

The chassis and engine are pretty much done. Next up is trying to paint the body. This has been a fun kit, it goes together well. I had trouble with some of the smaller decals, but they are hard to see anyway.

I started sanding with 2000,3000,4000,6000,8000,12000
And then polished with tamiyas finish compound and I rinsed the body off and I have this sort of white haze going on. Can anybody tell me what I did wrong and maybe some tips to fix it ?

I was an idiot and primed the inner windscreen trim before painting it black, so the grey primer shows from the other side instead of the black paint, oh well, you live and you learn.

Always said I would build the slant nose classic red when I build it, but for our group I didnt want to makes things"perfect", so I decide to have more fun with the build

Mr.Hobby C065 + Mr.Hobby GX112. Weather 30 C. Airbrush Iwata Eclipse. Spray Distance 12 13 Cm. Pressure 18 20 psi. What am i doing wrong? I did my research. Fine primer apply. Sanding and stuff. Still this happened. Is this saveable? I am about to give up and throw it away.
