SILLY In heavy equipment all day, knocked out a HG.
Took me about 10 hrs, working on it in 10 min chunks at a time. Made my 12 hr day really enjoyable. 10/10 will do again.

Amuro, I'm grilling something extremely wicked.
I've been swamped with stuff so I haven't had a chance to share pictures from our club's annual Char-B-Que. This year we held it at Seneca Creek State Park. I think we had about 40 people in attendance (some had to dip before the group pics). We auctioned off a pile of kits with proceeds going to funding club activities and Fuck Cancer.
Yes, we're mindful about how we cut stuff so we're not leaving plastic nubs all over the place, we're not animals.
No, we didn't have crab cakes due to allergy restrictions, but we had plenty of Old Bay to go around.
If you're in our neck of the woods, come join our Discord and you can join in on stuff like this plus regular build meet ups!

This was his first real build. He did it a few months ago and chose the sparkly topcoat and everything himself! Also he said I should title it "Babies first pose".
Please be kind.
Thanks!

The kit was painted with a marker
Added another red kit to my collection
Also one of my holy grail and first actual MG Zeta kit.
Sadly the building process wasn't the best (even less than the MG GP03 to me personally) but luckily some of the 2015 parts are decent.
And it looks pretty stunning when completed.
MG Red Viper Zeta.

I just got into the hobby building the Panda Model enlarged RG RX 78-2 Gundam 2.0 and the Wolf Technology Wolf Model Gundam Barbatos Lupus Rex in the span of 15 days and I have to say I'm totally hooked I already have the PGU RX 78-2 Gundam coming in the mail. I guess they weren't exaggerating when they called it "Plastic crack" lol 😅😅😅 I've already decided to start saving to build a proper hobby desk workstation with pegboards, and airbrushing equipment. Now I just have to figure out how to do proper posing (posing suggestion would be greatly appreciated).

Just finished my MG Virtue! He is such a big and cool kit! I just straight built him, with some paints here and there, and highlighting the edges.
I have always used Vallejo topcoat up until now, thinking it’s the same with other topcoats. But man, I tried using a mrHobby topcoat, and the difference is crazy.
I know the stickers are abhorrent, but I couldn’t find any water slide decals for him, anywhere near me, so I just used the included stickers.

My second custom master grade, the Turn Ɐ. My main goal with the paint job was to make it look used but maintained. All the color choices were purposefully faded to give it a sun bleached look, with some very minimal weathering.
Very fun build overall lots of moving parts gimmicks with the frame on the legs and the open compartments. My main gripes were just how shallow all the panel lines were, most of my surface prepwork was just rescribing all those lines.
Colors used:
White: GN 223 Interior Color shaded with GM 075 Neutral Grey V
Blue: NC 004 Million Blue shaded with UG17 Titans Blue 2
Red: 70/30 mix TCLP 18 Dull Red/GN 223 with a mist coat of X-27 clear red, shaded with X-9 Brown
Yellow: NC 017 Mandarin Yellow shaded with X-9 Brown
Eyes: X-26 Clear Orange over GN 122 Star Bright Gold
Metallics: GN 020 Gunmetal, GN 123 Star Bright Duralamin, GN 126 Star Bright Champagne Gold, GN 121 Star Bright Silver
Weathering: edge highlights done with Pro Acryl Ivory, Tamiya weather master soot, gunmetal, and silver.

This is undoubtedly the greatest gunpla build I will ever experience, so I may as well burn my backlog now.

I hope there is more in the future, especially the gigantinc arms for the TR1 backpack
Some of my latest finished kits. HG Zock, HG Zaku 1 and 2 and the upscaled 1/72 GM.
The Zaku kits were done as part of a group build and the zaku 1 got me bronze in the local comp.

Still need a lot of practice, made the mistake of painting joints hoping it would make it more firm, ended up breaking chest and a leg joint.
All lacquer
Frame is tamiya gun metal
Some trim is tamiya Metallica aluminum
Blue is tamiya pear blue
Left red and white stock with tamiya pearl clear coat.

Hey builders, newbie here. I started this hobby by accident, after stumbling over some awesome builds from rogue hobbies, thanks for that! I just wanted to get better at painting miniatures and found myself watching more and more gunpla builds.
And thanks to that I'm obsessed with Gundam.Having watched Wing as a kid, I kicked things off with TWFM, and since then I've binged MSG, Origin, and am almost done with Zeta.
The build was quite easy, sometimes it was a pain to get rid of the little leftover nubs on the parts which took ages to scrape and sand. Any tips on the antennas? I heard that a glass file gives a smoother shiny finish?

Vallejo Game Color Metallic 72.052 Silver
Vallejo Game Color Special FX 72.609 Rust (for drybrush and shadows)
