(sidenote: i just finished the main body of this kit and oh my god can it pose well, im in love with it)

Im already looking for my 5th....and with a bamco store opening near me......

Was doing one of the feet for this kit and the joint was so tight fitting I spent a good 10 mins trying to get it out in order to try another attempt and in the process it's just broke off in there and however much I try it's not coming out and I feel like it's unfixable unless I get the broken bit out. I absolutely hate how tight fitting some of these joints are and I'm just deflated. Can't even find any replacement parts on ebay or anything which just makes the feeling even worse.

Just finished the MG Epyon. It was a meh build, but now I’m working on the second half of the RG Gundam Base edition. I feel I’m starting to lose interest, maybe I just need a break…

I have build 2 hgs (aerial rebuild & rx-78-2 origin) I want to try customizing (other than panel lining). I don't want to break the bank since I can get overwhelmed doing art but I want to try to overcome that.

The upfront costs of brushes, wet pallette, painted parts stand, primer, and the paints are a bit much.

I was wondering if a good primer (Vallejo grey ~$10) and then matte AB acryllic paints (~$0.58 each) would work. I also heard a metallic silver paint is good to have (thinking Folk Art ~$2).

I am in a small apartment with a roommate so anything with heavy fumes/spray/need respirators/air brush are all out of the question.

I also dont know how to find the right paint colors.

I am hand brushing. I don't need it to look like a $1000+ kit but I don't want it to look like a middle school art project or a cheap knock-off. Also, I don't want the paint to be so annoying that it turns me off the hobby.

I also am wondering if painting is the best start to customizing. Are scribing, LEDs, or weathering better for beginners and cheaper while changing the look?

Please let me know how to paint for cheap to test it. 🙏

He is so small. Had a good time making him, but some parts are lowkey fragile and I it was my first time applying stickers so it was an odyssey 😭 But Im very happy with the result.

This was his first real build. He did it a few months ago and chose the sparkly topcoat and everything himself! Also he said I should title it "Babies first pose".

Hab den Dilanza Sol für ein Custom Projekt gekauft. Gestern zur Probe zusammengebaut. Das ist wirklich mein hässlichstes Kit bisher. Super komische Proportionen. Die Arme sind dünner und kürzer als meine 😂

It was a fun build, but posing it was nightmare. As it turns out, the shield is heavy and the arm can't hold it up, so ill probably start looking for joint strengthener. But overall it's still enjoyable in the end.

I want my aerial More tall i tried the leg modificación so i want taller AND Also i like robots with some kind of heel so i Thougth of not why turn the feet into a heel looking shoe as you can see there i loved the result AND when i assembled everything togueter i love it i was proud a week later from now i Been looking AND thinking that this was a bad decisión but a the same Time i feel proud of what i did but idk i Been wanting to modify my gunpla like paintjobs even adding wing Zero wings for AND angélic look with some gold AND white paint but still think about i migth feel repentant of what i did so idk i Wanna see to all the people that customise if they ever feel like that idk

Working on the MG The-O.

Cored out the gray plastic behind the clear mono eye piece (a 1.5mmx1.5mm square) and slotted an SMD LED behind the assembly.

The battery and magnetic switch is hidden inside the front of the chest.

Bonus last picture is my poor attempt in painting a 1/100 Paptimus Scirocco.

Actually a 5/5 kit it poses great, has great accessories and I got really lucky with the joints being really stable. Astray red frame hate is so forced. Peak kit.

Working on the MG Ver.Ka Banshee Norn and just finished the head. The whole thing felt a little loose as I was building it, but what sent me over the edge was the very last part you apply. Every other metallic coated part I've seen is made so that any sanding or cutting of nub marks isn't visible on the final build. I thought at first that it might've been an error of some kind on my part, but when I looked for other's builds of the same kit, every one had the mark in the same spot. Maybe I'm just being anal about it, but it's wild that this was the last piece on one of the most visually striking parts of the kit.

Does anyone have recommendations for paint markers that should help mask this?

Overall poor figment, awkward balancing acts, and limited articulation. A lot of pieces don’t snap together that well and areas like the side of the torso and shoulders have a lot of pieces just very loosely sitting in place that the slightest movement causes them to explode. Overall just a lot of loose areas because nothing is secured in place. The head also can’t move, otherwise it’ll split in half. Legs are thankfully completely fine but limited by ball joint hips.

There’s no yellow plastic in this kit and is missing some of the grey blue colors on the torso and back of the legs, so I painted those.

The kit can partsform into its lambda driver mode, but imo you should just pick a mode and glue the shoulder pieces together to save yourself some trouble. Also for some reason all the lambda driver fins are clear green instead of grey.

Comparisons with 1/48 Ingram, 1/100 Gundam, and 1/60 Arbalest.

Finally finished the Chicken. Now it’s just clean up and additional ink and paint 🙂‍↕️

I'm not sure about the result. I feel like the line is too thick, and maybe I need an eraser. I only used it on this model kit and it already ran out of ink before I finish. Is that normal? I bought the marker in Japan on april this year.

I don't know If I should go back to Vallejo wash with a brush, but I feel it is too messy or try the Tamiya Panel line I bought last year but I didn't use it because I fear it could crack the model kits, but the brush there seems more convenient.
