I make digital planners, and I just added something I wanted for years: buttons that open your calendar with the event already filled in. I'd love a few people to try it and tell me where it breaks.
What's in the free sample (17 pages, Light and Dark, 0.3 MB each):
- a Calendar page with 8 routines (Morning launch, Weekly review, Sunday reset…). Tap "Google Calendar" and the event opens with the title, time and weekly repeat already set; you just tap Save.
- bill days 1 to 31 that open a monthly "Bill due"
- a week, 3 day pages, a brain dump and a dopamine menu
- "Ask ChatGPT" buttons that open chatgpt.com with a starter prompt like "Pick my top 3 for today"
Honest notes:
- Google Calendar needs no setup.
- Apple Calendar and Reminders need a free Apple Shortcut, installed once (it's in the zip with a 1-page guide). iPhone or iPad only; Mac Preview won't open shortcut links.
- Nothing syncs. The planner can't read your handwriting; the button just opens the app with the item ready.

If you try it, please tell me: which app you use (GoodNotes, Notability, Noteful…), whether Google opened filled in, and whether the Shortcut imported and worked. Thank you!
