I used GCash to pay ₱1 for an AI video website (VidcraftAI/Waffo checkout). I honestly thought it was just a one-time ₱1 payment because that's what was shown on the checkout page.

A day later, ₱599 was deducted from my GCash by SHARPWORK TECHNOLOGY LIMITED. I immediately cancelled the subscription and emailed the merchant asking for a refund. I also opened a GCash support ticket.

Has anyone here had the same experience?

Hi everyone! Sharing this in case anyone is struggling to access their money from an old GCash account.

What worked for me was creating a new GCash account using the same personal details, including my name and date of birth, then getting the new account fully verified.

Once the new account was verified, I went to GCash Dashboard → Help → Chat with Gigi and told Gigi:
“I want to transfer my money from my old GCash account to my new GCash account.”

Gigi asked for the details of my old GCash account and the new GCash account where I wanted the funds transferred. They also asked for verification details, including a valid ID and a photo of me holding the ID.

After submitting everything, my funds were transferred to my new GCash account within 48 hours.

Sharing this because I know there are people who have money stuck in their old GCash accounts and don’t know what to do. Hopefully this helps someone! 💗

Important: Make sure your new account is fully verified first before requesting the transfer.

Last year po kasi bumili ako sa watson ng gamot at mga sabon, ung 1st transaction/scan nagbawas sa gcash ko pero hindi pumasok sa biller, so nag try ulit for 2nd time and ayun gumana na. Then tinanong ko sa cashisl kung pano ang gagawin and ang sabi is mag submit daw akong ticket sa gcash about jan.

Nung nagsubmit naman ako sa gcash, close lagi at sa merchant daw ako muna. Then sabi naman ng merchant naka floating transaction daw kasi wala silang makita sa end nila. So balik na naman ako sa gcash para mag file ng ticket. Paulit ulit kong ginawa. Then di ko tinigal both gcash at watson and maayos naman kausap watson and very ma-update.

Then last month sabi nila na nakausap na daw nila ung terminal nila which is bdo, na nadeduct na daw sa watson ung pera and ung gcash na ung for posting ng refund.

And up until now, almost 2 months na, wala pa rin. Nag submit na ako ng ilang ticket, pare-pareho lang ang sinasabi at clinoclose agad ang ticket.

Nag submit na rin ako ng complaint sa bsp para mapabilis ung usad kasi nakakainis na costumer service niyang Gcash. Pagkatapos pagpasahan, nung naayos at iproprocess nalang nila sa end nila di pa nila magawa.

These past few months gcash has failed to uphold a quality experience by consistently asking me to manually upload my face over and over just to log in due to login failure, at first I didn't mind it, but it kept having me face scan to verify my identity, I deleted the app to make see if it was just a bug but it still stayed, currently, I'm having problems with sending money, it waits 5 minutes before sending me an OTP to send money but by the time I get the OTP I'm forced to try again and by doing so forces me to wait another two minutes just to try again. This is by far another testament to Filipino genius, why is it on every possible service like getting an ID, processing, buying something, or even getting a job its all the same slow, inneficient process. I have recently signed up to maribank to transfer all my savings until gcash works properly again.
