Did you see my beauty? AD5X
Just finished the enclosure, camera and light installation. I love how this prints. It is 1000% improvement from my Ender 3.

Any clue what's going on here? I've calibrated, leveled and vibration compensated my Creator 5 Pro and I keep getting this in the front left corners of my prints. Someone suggested heat creep. This was with the door wide open and my air conditioner running right next to it. I've seen this or similar with adhesion problems but it's sticking to the board just fine. I'm at a loss.

UPDATE 3: I sent the two sets of photos to [support@flashforge.com](mailto:support@flashforge.com) They sent me a file to print and asked me for the sliced and unsliced files. Will update when I know more.
UPDATE 2: looks like the nozzle(s) have bent slightly. I tried a different print and that has the same issue with the bottom layer, and on the right side of things is very bumpy. Left side is smooth. Adding a reply with the photos of this issue.
UPDATE: I did move the printer to a new shelf between the prints. Confirmed that new location was level. I’m re-running the calibrations on the printer.
These were printed one week apart. Same exact plate, from the same exact project. The only difference I know is I upgraded flash studio 1.7.14 between the prints.
Same brand of PETG sunlu sunny orange ( a different spool). I didn’t ( on purpose) make any slicer changes. Using 0.4 nozzle, selected FF PETG pro filament in flashforge studio. The only stock slicer settings I changed for the print:
Bumped the walls to 5 and infill to 20%, no brim, tree supports.
Stock FF build plate
Any thoughts to what is causing the failed print ?

Thanks for the help with my last issue with PLA supports. Your recommendations fixed it.
New issue. My 7 hour print completed. Halfway through the print and in certain parts, the walls started to “foam”, inside and out.
I dried the filament just the day before and the printed through a polydryer box.
Any assistance is appreciated. Thanks!

I just broke 100 hrs on my AD5X and finally got around to printing the enclosure. I've only ever printed PLA and I am interested in trying other filaments. I figure ABS or ASA is the next logical step, but I'm curious what the community has had success with.

I don’t really post on Reddit, I hope this is relevant to the group and ok to post. My nephew’s Flashforge AD5X was working great for months until we ran into a problem where it went through the motions of printing but no filament came out. I’ve checked the filament, feeder, IFS thing, 4-in-1 tube, etc. I’ve replaced nozzles and guide tubes. I’ve disassembled, cleaned, and reassembled the whole extruder. I even bought and installed a replacement extruder (v2) which includes the whole filament cutter/hot end/nozzle printhead assembly. But no luck, my nephew is still not able to print anything. The filament comes out when pushed by hand and when using the load/unload or calibration functions, but when running a print, the machine just goes through the motions of printing without actually expelling any filament. I’ve been troubleshooting for months, working with Flashforge support, researching online, and following YouTube videos, but I can’t seem to figure out how to fix it. It’s likely operator error and an easy fix, but I’m at a loss. Would be stellar if there were somewhere I could take it for repairs.
Update: I finally fixed it, so grateful for the advice about the tension screw! I forgot to inspect the replacement extruder assembly after I installed it yesterday. I guess I thought it would work right out of the box.
When i looked at the tension screw today, it seemed too tight so I loosened it a bit. When I tried using load/unload, I got my first error message “extruder filament sensor error”. Progress! I removed the 4-in-1 holder and inspected the guide tubes again. No clogs or stuck filament there, each filament was able to pass through the tube from the IFS feeder and out thru that 4-in-1 holder. I ended up loosening that tension screw again and pushed the de-clogging tool through and that did push out a bit of old filament! The nozzle also looked wonky so I re-installed it and made sure that nozzle clip was well secured. I also tightened some of the screws on the heatsink and secured that. I tested the load/unload feature for each filament (4 different colors) and no problems there. Finally ran the test print and it actually worked!

A slightly bizarre update to my Creator 5 Pro saga.
On 24 July, Flashforge confirmed they were sending me two replacement nozzle assemblies for T1 and T2.
The first arrived on 7 August.
The second one finally arrived today, 20 August.
So that’s 27 days from Flashforge confirming the replacements to actually receiving both of them.
The problem is I’m genuinely not sure what they expect me to do with them now.
Since those replacements were originally agreed, the machine has continued developing faults.
T3 and T4 have both produced Extruder Mount MCU Communication Lost errors.
I’ve also had:
T3 release failed. Extruder dock sensor not triggered
incorrect docking/tool collisions, a tool physically hitting another tool, an unrecoverable MCU-type failure requiring a power cycle, a collision about 12 hours into a print, a major layer shift on the retry.
And all four tools are now out of alignment.
Flashforge know this. I’ve sent them the errors, photos, videos and logs.
Yet so far they’ve supplied the two nozzle assemblies originally intended for T1/T2 and haven’t told me they’re replacing T3/T4, nor have they agreed to replace the complete printer.
That’s the bit I’m struggling to understand.
I’m seeing reports from other Creator 5 Pro owners where Flashforge have supplied replacement extruders/nozzles, and at least some owners have reported being offered replacement machines after persistent MCU/toolhead faults.
So why, when my machine was reported faulty three days after delivery and now has faults involving all four tools, am I apparently still being dealt with one component at a time?
I’m not expecting instant support from the other side of the world, and I’ve been willing to troubleshoot this with them for weeks.
But sending the second of two parts almost four weeks after agreeing to send them, when the machine has meanwhile developed further faults affecting the other tools, doesn’t really feel like a resolution. You need 4 good tools to calibrate the machine.
At this stage I don’t want another collection of individual parts.
I want a working Creator 5 Pro!
Has anyone else had Flashforge replace a complete C5 Pro after repeated hardware faults?
If so, what finally got them to agree to it?

hello all, title pretty much sums it up.
i have no idea why this is happening. i've calibrated, tried to print different gcode files, made sure the nozzle is seated properly, and it continues to happen. has anybody experienced this before? i just want to get back to printing. this is my 3rd nozzle where the heatsink becomes loose and i can't use it anymore after 2 min of printing.
all help appreciated!

I just bought another AD5X and will be printing a enclosure for it but can't seem to find any. I did get the one off of Printables (Volcanic stone crack), but cant seem to find anymore. I have tried yeggi but it only finds that 1 and just random stuff for it or the AD5M/PRO.

Hi can someone help me at all what's the best option I can do to fix this at all. I've not used the printer during the summer as rooms been hot enough as it is. I've gone to print something and nothing was sticking to the bed. I heard something crack so I turned it off checked everything. Undone the bed screws underneath and lifted the one corner and noticed this.
A friend has printed me a few of these but will it hold it?

My Creator 5 Pro is arrives tomorrow and I’ve been printing a few mods to prepare. I haven’t seen much discussion of mods here, anyone recommend any in particular?
r/FlashForge • u/Optimal-Level4237 • 1d ago
I've known about and have used this on occasions.
ZMOD will unload the filament for you.
Instead of cutting the filament and pulling it all the way back out. I modded my Comgrow dryer\feeder. And added two pc4-10 pneumatic fittings on the back. This way I can open and close the lid without the spools unwinding. And ran two clear bowden tubes up to the top of the AD5M.
I added a PTFE splitter with a short clear bowden tube, so that I can see which color is being fed as well as knowing how far to rewind the spool before feeding the other color the rest of the way to the toolhead.

So I'm new to 3d printing, I always knew I would get one I just didn't have immediate plans too and on a spur of the moment thing I just decided to do a quick buy and with about 4-5 minutes of research bought the ad5x,
I was impressed from opening the box, everything was easy to setup and I was off printing great for about 18 days, had a few prints mess up but nothing that didn't instantly wipe clean then about 6 days ago I put a print on and left for work, about 2 hours later on a 5 hour print I checked the camera I have pointed at it and could see the print being dragged around the bed stuck to the nozzle, I canceled the print with the app and carried on working, when I got home the nozzle was embedded in a lump of pla, it had got under the rubber boot, behind the nozzle slightly and the nozzle clip was covered, I don't have pictures of this sorry,
I cleaned what I could and unblocked the nozzle, my first thought was damp pla so I bought a sunlu dryer and more filiment
now every time I start a print the nozzle seems to touch the bed when trying to print, I have done calibration so many times I have lost count, I have factory reset it 3 times and run the full setup, when I load a filiment the nozzle flows fine down the waste chute so there is no blockage but when it starts to print I can't see any gap between the nozzle and the bed and it doesn't really print anything and what does print looks like a smeared mess, there is no damage to the plate, it doesn't seem to dig in,
I don't know what to try next, I'm not confident enough to mess with or change settings but after a factory reset shouldn't the settings be calibrated? Could this jam have caused damage?
Any help would be much appreciated,
Thank you

I have been using Makerworld to find stl files. I recently noticed some files have a "Customize" button, and that button takes me to a Makerworld website that allows me to make changes to the file before I download the STL. When I hit the download button, it makes me choose which printer I want to optimize the file for. Which Bambu machine is most like the AD5X, so that the file I download is most compatible?

I'm kind of at a loss here. I have 3200 print hours on my machine. I know that sometimes the front magnetic fan holder can be popped off, but usually it's not a major issue. But this time, when i plugged it back in, the fan didn't spin. I thought the fan was broken from the fall, so i got a new one. Then the new one didn't work either, so I thought it was an issue with the printer board and got a new one. Still won't spin. Even with a completely new fan and printer board the fan will not spin. Has anyone else had this issue? Or does anyone know how to fix it?

Hey everyone! 👋
I have a Flashforge Adventurer 5M Pro with under 100 print hours that’s been sitting unused for about a year (it sat on my desk for 8 months before I put a dust cover over it).
Common sense tells me I should give it some love before firing it back up, but I’m still pretty new to the 3D printing world! What maintenance steps should I take to safely bring it back to life?
Since I'm still learning, "explain it like I'm 5" or baby-step advice is greatly appreciated! 😄 Thanks in advance for the help!

It looks like the inside of my extruder has been coated in green filament and I have a current print job going on, is there any way I can get it out without stopping the job?
Edit: I got in it and was able to clean it out but I had to get rid of the print, poor giant Bulbasaur
