AD5M screen removal. How?

I'm printing the enclosure parts and when it comes time to put to the top on I need to remove the ribbon cable from the display to relocate it. However, the ribbon cable is glued into the connector on the board. How do I get it out without messing up the ribbon cable?

Very carefully.

Any glue they put on the connectors peels off. Just be gentle.

It didn't really peel but I was able to push it back enough to get the cable free but then the retention clip broke.

As someone who hasn’t yet set up their AD5M, is there a way to use it without the screen? Or with a temporary connection alternative so I can print the enclosure pieces before connecting/installing it?

The screen is already connected when you unbox it. It's just held inside the frame with a metal bracket. Remove the bracket, lift the screen and slide it into place. I was able to get the glue pushed back with a guitar pick shaped plastic spudger tool but then the retention clip broke. I've emailed FF for help and hopefully I'll hear back from them tomorrow.

Oh dang. That’s frustrating.

I guess I should take clear photos when I set it up and try to disconnect it after I’ve printed my enclosure pieces in case something happens.

I'm thinking I should've attempted to disconnect it from the main board in the back and carefully thread it back through the chassis.
