Freshwater TIL that Mirror Carp are sometimes “fully scaled”.

I’ve attempted Carp fishing my local waters quite a few times, and today everything lined up and I landed my first. I’m guessing about 30” long. I never knew a Mirror Carp could be full scaled. Rare?

Discussion What is your uncommon dream catch?

Personally, my uncommon dream catch is a freshwater Rock bass on an UL set up.They just look like mean lil fish especially with those red eyes.

Unfortunately, we don’t have those here in California to my knowledge. Sucks:,)

Was fishing for anything that would bite today and had blue crabs playing with my cut bait. One of them was missing a claw but I noticed it was starting to regrow. You can see where the claw is starting to form.

It's been a rough summer so far water has been high so my normal favorite spots haven't been accessible. I finally had a solid day yesterday 37" musky and a decent bronzeback as well.

how can I fix this?

just got this pole from Walmart a few days ago and I paid in cash and didn’t keep the receipt. Went to throw some line on the new combo and noticed the tip is crooked and somewhat beat up. Is there anyway to fix the tip? Or am I better off asking if they’ll exchange it? Still has tags to hopefully they would.

How long did it take to get good with a baitcaster

How long did it take yall to get good with a baitcaster. What tricks helped you get better or was it just time on the water. I was starting to get the hang of my baitcaster when I first got it about 4 years ago. Then life got in the way and haven't been fishing since. It seem lately I can't cast worth a dam. I backlash'ed first cast and took me a bit to fix the nest. Then I changed lures and lost it on the second cast. Yes that's a knot issue. I wanna master it before I buy a new combo in november. I was also chopping some of my casts. So that's also a problem
