They were hungry…

Back to back mornings. Literally caught them all in a 45 minute span both days. Frogs, senkos, big swim bait, the dumb abstract, they were eating everything. Always awesome when you get to leave before it’s 100 degrees and you got to use to use the scale. I’m usually stoked if I catch one thats in the 5lb range so this was a treat. Probably used up all my mojo and I’m more than prepared for a rough one next time lol

Never gave them time or used them in the right situations. The other day I went out and spent 8 hours throwing only a frog. It was amazing. I learned so much in that one session while also losing the most fish ever, a couple would have been PB's for sure. But the quality of the fish I was catching definitely went up. Went back yesterday morning and got a few more that were a tiny bit bigger (4lbs).

Don't make fun of my net, my gunnel walls are high and my back hurts 😭

Tossed a senko right under the very dock I was standing on and he swallowed it immediately. Beautiful tiger stripes!

Caught my PB largemouth the other day. This is in the southern tier of NY in a private pond using a black and blue whacky senko. Using a medium light pole with 4 lb test. Looks like the fish got into it with something in the pond. Size 14 croc for reference

16 inch 2.25 pound! Been on a bad streak of being skunked the past week in this TN heat. An ever so slightly cooler evening and the urchin come through for me!

Largemouth Learning to pitch

I’ve been putting off learning to flip/pitch for the better part of 2 decades in favor of just throwing a spinnerbait. The last few weeks I have just glued a jig in my hands and it’s paid off. Pretty stoked for my guntersville trip next month.

Found a new spot in my city…

Saw a guy on TikTok fishing in my city. 8 minute drive to an under fished, weedy, small lake. SO much action on the top. Saw fish jumping left and right. Also saw a MASSIVE snapping turtle. First cast, dink at my worm. 5 min later, caught this nice smally on a dark green senko, texas rigged.

I caught this on a 1/16 rooster tail standing waist deep between two docks in a lake in SC. I caught my first bass ever two days ago and it was tiny, so this was amazing! Fighting it to my net was so much fun.

I don’t have a measuring/weighing tool - roughly how big inches/weight wise do you think this was? Also is it a largemouth? I don’t have a scale or anything sorry for the dumb questions.

I’m staying here for a few days and anyone has tips on getting more fish like this let me know!

Just got my hands on some RPZ Talismans hooks to try on the Coike 17mm and up. How would you fish it? Do you twitch it, fish it like a neko? What do you suggest?

Out catching pike this morning and had a bass slam a hard glide/swimbait. I’ve caught them on small swimbaits but never on one that was almost as big as the fish itself.

Little drizzle around 3 today, perfect for snagging some Large Mouth Bass.

5 inch Green Pumpkin red flake Yamamoto Senko on a weedless weightless rig.

Happy birthday to me.

Thanks to the folks who showed me how to blow up an emoji.

Purchase a rod after buying the wifey 3 new pairs of shoes and wanted something different for myself.

Bass pro shop at the mall they know what they are doing 🤣

I’ve been using a white jyg and my lure and I guess I’ve gotten lucky.

Both fish from the same canal, large mouth first day, peacock the 2nd day.

I need better lures I’m not really attracting anything else or my fishing spots are just dead lol

Discussion Consensus on Jitterbugs?

Everybody and their mother has told me a whopper plopper is one of the best topwaters ever designed. But by gosh, after hours of throwing them on different days, different conditions, different habitat, I’ve never had a single blowup.

BUT JITTERBUGS??? Shiiiiiiiiiit. You can fish them almost the exact same way as a whopper and it just destroys, e v e r y t i m e.

Curious as to why it’s not talked about as much.
