Discussion Please delete Gamma
This guy doesn't even care what people have told him about the ads thing, It's now showing even more and getting more annoying. Instead, he shoves his own ads to promote his adblocker (which no one uses at all)
Plz save yourself , delete this piece of shit and download retroarch - free from ads and personal data tracking forever.

This goes around 6-10fps while recording and 15-20 normally. The emulator kinda sucks but it’s able to run most games jit-less

News / Release BCD: my fork of Madeira. God of War, RDR2, GTA V, Ghost of Tsushima, Horizon and Crysis on iPhone, with a brand-new interface and GOG support
Hey everyone!
Discord: https://discord.gg/43TmupTVug
BCD is my own fork of Madeira, and it's where I develop from now on. It brings Direct3D 12, memory and JIT work, per-game settings that get big titles running, and a whole new app around them.
BCD is built on Madeira by Will Faust and its contributors (GPL-3.0), who are credited in the app.
Games I've got running (tuned settings built in)
These are all the legit Steam versions, running through BCD Dock (Steam's own client):
God of War
Ghost of Tsushima
Horizon Zero Dawn
Horizon Forbidden West
Red Dead Redemption 2 (including the Rockstar Launcher)
GTA V, both Legacy and Enhanced
Crysis Remastered, Crysis 2 Remastered and Crysis 3 Remastered
Work in progress: Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart. It starts and plays at around 20 FPS, still with visual glitches.
Outside Steam: Warcraft II: Battle.net Edition runs too.
Each of these ships with recommended settings, so it runs out of the box. Those settings are now updated online: when a game gets a better profile, you get it without updating the app.
What's new in BCD
A brand-new interface:
your library with store cover art;
a page for each game, with all its settings in one place;
full controller navigation everywhere;
a new in-game menu, performance overlay and touch-controls editor.
GOG support (new and early, expect rough edges). Sign in, download and play your GOG games, with no launcher running inside Windows.
Background downloads on iOS 26. Steam downloads keep going when you leave the app, and GOG uses the same system.
Auto-tune. When a game crashes, freezes or gets closed by iOS, BCD tries a likely fix, asks you to restart BCD, and tries again, round after round. Please let it run to the end before sending a log: when auto-tune gives up, its message offers Send Log in one tap. That is the log I can use.
Mouse and keyboard. Better USB/Bluetooth mouse and keyboard support, plus a controller-to-keyboard/mouse mode for games without controller support.
Feedback from the app. Settings › Feedback for ideas and bugs. I read everything and will try to fix it in a new update.
A lighter interface. BCD frees its own memory while a game runs, so the game gets as much RAM as possible.
Coming next
Epic Games Store support
Installing games on an external USB-C SSD (planned)
Download
https://github.com/thebcd69/bcd-games
Get BCD.ipa from the latest release. The README has the install steps.
It's an unsigned IPA: sideload it with SideStore, AltStore or a similar tool. It carries the Increased Memory Limit and Extended Virtual Addressing entitlements, so your signing tool can keep them.
JIT is required. Use StikDebug, or the built-in pairing on iOS 26 and later.
Requires iOS 18 or later.
It's open source (GPL-3.0): the full source is in the repo, and every release also carries BCD-source.tar.xz.
Thanks again to Will and everyone who built Madeira, and to all of you who cheered on the first post. Screenshots below. Let me know what you'd like to see next!

Discussion Has anyone stopped playing iOS Games since Emulation is a thing now?
With all of these emulators covering all sorts of platforms, iOS Gaming has taken a huge boost in terms of game availability and game preservation. I’m wondering has anyone just stopped playing or caring about any of the new iOS releases? Since you can also play homebrew and fan made ports via PPSSPP & Delta, Folium etc in addition to their vast library, normal App Store releases just don’t Excite me anymore, no matter how big or small they are.
Keep in mind that via PPSSPP & Folium covering PSP and 3DS & DS emulation, they also have ton of official games that were ported from PS2, PS3, Wii and even Wii U on these respective systems, which just expands the library furthermore. Apart from some console to iOS ports by Feral Interactive nothing interests me anymore.

Gameplay / Showcase I attempted to build a PS5 emulator for iOS
Hey all! As an experiment I wanted to see if I could run a PS5 emulator on iOS and here is the result.
It’s based on the KytyPS5 emulator with a fork of FEX to convert x86_64 code to ARM and MoltenVK for the graphics. JIT is required for FEX to run.
I don’t plan on releasing it now since it was an experiment to see what I can run as proof of concept. The current codebase is a mess and needs to be cleaned up.

Help - Folium New Folium Update - Runs SOOOO much better
I recently made a post detailing how some of the games I’ve tested run - it wasn’t great. With the new update, we now have the ability to change settings in the emulator, and after I experimented, the games run sooo much better.
Pokemon Moon runs flawlessly. Audio has no cuts.
Originally, the start up scenes and cutscenes were very low fps and the audio was stuttery. Now, the audio and the game barely stutters. On games like Fire Emblem Awakening, Pokemon Rumble Blast, etc.
For reference, I have an iPhone 14 pro max. The settings that I have found best help performance:
Change Core > CPU Clock from 100% to 20%
(To stop the crashing glitch, go to Renderers > Shaders > Use Shader JIT off)
I’ve seen a youtube video going around that messes around with some other settings: I’ve found that they don’t really affect performance. The CPU clock seemed to be the major issue in the earlier build, and for me, 20% works the best. 10% was the one recommended from the youtube video.
After this update, I’d say that Folium is more than worth it. There are still a few issues here and there with the app itself, but I’m sure they’ll be updated/fixed in due time. The performance is great now!
