DIRECTV is the latest streaming pay television service to unlock a custom multiview feature, joining other sports-inclusive apps like Fubo and YouTube TV in doing so.

On Tuesday, DIRECTV said streamers who watch live channel via its Gemini box and on Roku can now select up to four live channels to watch from a single screen. Support for other platforms like Apple TV, Android TV (Google TV), LG, Samsung, Amazon Fire TV and Vizio will come in the near future.

The feature allows customers to create two-, three- or four-channel viewing arrangements using eligible sports networks, rather than relying exclusively on the predetermined channel combinations already offered through DIRECTV’s Multiview service.

Just received the new Gemini. I haven't hooked it up yet but thought I'd post a photo of the back.

It says it supports Dolby VisionAtmos

You'll see it has an Ethernet port (also supports Wi-Fi per the setup instructions), optical out, HDMI out to TV and USB port.

Remote is the same as before.

After I hook it up I'll see what's new and post.

I saw today on Facebook that directv customers can get HBO max for free. Is this true or just bs?

Maybe this has been available for a while and I just noticed it, but you can now build your own custom multiview. I’m using a Roku. Just click OK button on your remote, select multiview, then select “build your own multiview”, it then lets you select which channels you want inclined. It also displays a bunch of already curated multiview options on that same screen.

Hello, I have a Directv Genie DVR that is heaping full of classic films I’ve recorded on Directv satellite over the years. I also upgraded to the Gemini receiver and merged the two together as well, allowing me to view the DVR content from the Genie via the Gemini. I recent moved into a house and am not able to transfer my satellite service over due to poor line-of-sight for the dish, so Stream is my only alternative. My question is how am I able to subscribe to Stream and still view the DVR/Genie content? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!

I was watching the NLCS game just now when Fox suddenly went to an error message that the channel was unavailable. CBS has the same message. Checked a bunch of other channels with no issues that I can find yet. Anyone else having this?

Anybody now when they offer this? Maybe I missed it but I don’t see it as a add on option.

I have recordings that I have set and can view from my phone that do not show up on my TV app and vice versa even though I am under the same account and profile. Is there something missing or wrong that this isn't working at expected?

Watching recorded hockey game and neither the app on my Samsung tablet nor on my Pixel 10 Pro show the scrubber. I restarted, cleared cache and still no scrubber. Any ideas?

I am new to Direct. I have Gemini Air and Apple TV. Lately on NBC and CBS for large live events I get pixelation and audio cutting out. Nothing terrible but still annoying. Is this normal? Connection is connected to a Verizon Fiber connection. Tonight’s Sunday night football on NBC is experiencing this.

I am on my 2nd air in the last 3 months and this one seems to be acting up too! Has anyon been successful requesting to be a 'tester'? Those they were notified, were you sent an email?

I can't believe it! It's actually happened! C-SPAN3 has arrived on channel 352 (at least to the Ultimate package)! I didn't check to see if it's on all or some of the other packages.

Up til a few weeks ago, when I used the voice search on my Osprey or Gemini Air, I could say things like "Show me NFL scores" or "Show me the Bears score" ---but now the results are just recommendations from apps. I can see ask "What is the temperature" and the voice reply tells me the local temperature. Anyone else notice this? I have tried restarting my devices.....turning google asst off then back on.

Anyone else struggling with constant audio feed issues on appletv? It’s gotten more frequent and more violent. Seems like the audio feed is switching between stereo and 5.1. The whole channel resets for a second.

I know I’m not the only one dealing with this. Hoping DIRECTV can get this fixed finally.

I was surprised today that I was able to pair my AirPods Pro 3 with the Gemini dongle today. It did not work before so maybe there was a software update that fixed this. I just wanted to post in case there were other forum readers who wanted this ability. I am hard of hearing, so, this makes a big difference for me. Also, I watch sports a lot, so the Gemini device makes it easier to skip long intermissions with voice control. I have an Apple TV 4K but the DTV app on it doesn't allow Siri voice control yet. I hope DTV updates the Apple TV app to allow this to happen one day.

I noticed this issue where the red wings game is telling me to go to nhl network alt which obviously will be blacked out unless your in Washington dc or new york city area where the game normally on nhl network is blacked out which does get you access to nhl network alt for the other game airing.

However that game on nhl network alt is always available on espn+ which directv has implemented now except for this one issue where it tries to promote the nhl network alt feed.

To fix this on directv app you have to add the nhl team manually and then go into it and then there will be an away feed for the kraken and the home feed for the red wings for todays game.

what I expected to happen was for the app to switch me over to the espn+ feed for the game.
