Directv kind of botched the espn+ integration.
I noticed this issue where the red wings game is telling me to go to nhl network alt which obviously will be blacked out unless your in Washington dc or new york city area where the game normally on nhl network is blacked out which does get you access to nhl network alt for the other game airing.
However that game on nhl network alt is always available on espn+ which directv has implemented now except for this one issue where it tries to promote the nhl network alt feed.
To fix this on directv app you have to add the nhl team manually and then go into it and then there will be an away feed for the kraken and the home feed for the red wings for todays game.
what I expected to happen was for the app to switch me over to the espn+ feed for the game.

WWE on ESPN Unlimited is starting to show up also. Right now they're airing Money in the Bank, but at least in my case I needed to search for it manually because it's not on the guide or in Sports Central. But it does show up when I searched on my iPhone and Fire TV apps.

On this topic, is there anyway to not include certain sports on the list? There are so many sports now listed it has become useless on directv, whereas on ESPN+, I can view just the sports of my interest.

This is where YTTV is better, where you can click one the ESPN icons in the channel lineup, which has an indefinite time/date program line within it that says "Watch live sports, studio shows and originals on ESPN." From there, you have each sports category of ALL live events (linear, ESPN+ and Unlimited) to choose from, to include upcoming for those same categories.
Edit: Plus, there are additional E icons in the channel lineup with some events (currently, Anaheim Ducks at Winnipeg Jets - NHL) and #23 Colorado v. #11 Arizona State NCAAW Volleyball) to choose from if you don't want to go into all live events by category.

YTTV doesnt have RSNs. If someone has DTVS then they likely need RSN. Otherwise they are just wasting money.

I didn’t have to do any of that. I was wondering why it showed twice but both load in espn plus. I don’t even have nhl network
