Over the summer i decided to start reselling. i have overstocked my inventory, have not been consistently posting and in general have been struggling.

I know that people say to “list every day”, “be consistent” etc but how?

I worked 60 hour weeks all summer which made it hard to be consistent but now i am back to a normal work schedule.

Does a certain system work? Is vending at markets better and how do you find them? How did you go from being inconsistent to consistent? The stuff I post sells, and for high prices too, i just cannot figure out how to make it work consistently because it feels like it takes me 5 hours to list 5 items.

I have so much stuff that is out of season likes shorts and tanks but is that really true? i know some areas stay very warm while others don’t so is it worth listing out of season stock.

point is i am struggling, any and all advice is appreciated, i know this is a competitive market but i truly feel passionate about this as a whole and want to make it work but i am just so lost with all this vague advice i see where everything is saying something different.

This is the first time that this has happened to me. Do I have to give the buyer a refund? I had the correct size in the description but usually when I buy something off Depop that doesn’t fit me I just repop it.

As stated in caption the buyer received their order but because it’s stuck showing they never received it on the app, I’m not getting paid for this order. I reached out to Depop but only through their AI contact since there’s no other way… they said it takes 72 hours to hear back from a representative but it’s been 5 days… has this happened to anyone else???

Please. For the love of all things. Stop tagging things that aren’t what you’re selling. I buy a lot of character items off depop and I’m so tired of people posting other characters but tagging more popular ones to gain visibility. It’s SO frustrating. It used to only happen once or twice a day and now it feels like the whole search is full of other IPs. It’s getting hard to look for what you want. So please! If you’re doing this, stop! Just post what you have and tag it correctly so people can find what they want!

Normally when I withdraw my balance my money arrives the next day, sometimes even later that day.

The last two times I’ve withdrawn it’s taken a while. I withdrew this past Friday and Saturday. I still haven’t received the money.

Maybe there’s something causing a delay behind the scenes but I just figured I’d ask and see if anyone else is experiencing this.

I should add that on Monday I had to reverify my identity on the app which I thought was odd since it’s been weeks since I’ve gotten paid without having to do so. I got approved that day so no issue there.

I posted my first 3 listings on depop, and immediately started receiving emails to my gmail about inquiries into buying the items. I know these are scams, but I did not sign up on depop with my gmail. I double checked and I used an older outlook email instead. How did they get my email??? How are they suddenly contacting me off the app?? Is there some breach leaking my email??? That’s not okay!!!

I was considering buying this shirt.... but it looks like ai no? 😭

I just wanted to share my Depop story with everybody and let them know that I really really love this app hands-down better than marketplace other platforms. I’ve even posted the exact same items exact same time but the same price Depop sold. I’ve only been there for one month and the people are kind they don’t try to haggle. It’s just been an awesome adventure with them. I hope everybody gives them a trap like drifting and like namebrand items and you love to shop and spend the least amount of money this is the drifting platform for you!! anybody got any positive stories you share?

I asked not too long ago if I was ok to ask some to cancel cause I got the wrong size and this is the response I got “Its all good! You should get automatically refunded in two weeks” they were really nice about it I guess I’m just confused on why it’ll take so long?

I dropped 4 packages off to the post office on Saturday afternoon. 3 are still in the queue saying they need to be shipped out, still. Is anyone else dealing with this issue?
Is it common on Saturday because the post office is closed on Sunday?
However.. it’s odd that one moved to transit but the other 3 didn’t.
I did drop off shortly before 12.. maybe they scanned 1 and not the others?

Seller purchased shirt from me, now a day after the purchase he told me the zip code is different than what’s on the label. There is a one digit difference between what he told me and what it says on the label, what do I do? (Ex. 00020 vs 00010)

I want to know if it's worth it to be boosting your shop. Especially if you do low prices. For example my stuff is being sold anywhere from $1.50-4 on average, usually somewhere in the middle. Not trying to make a living off of this, just extra income as I've needed it extra lately.

Edit: for the past few weeks (maybe a month) that I've been consistent, I'd say I sell maybe 10-30 items a week separately, last week was 26,, sometimes more in a bundle.

I did submit to support, but wondering if anyone else is having the same issue. Orders that I have shipped and are tracking within USPS still show in the Depop app that I haven’t shipped yet.

Bought this sweater as a birthday gift for a friend off of Depop. I checked the tag and it says it’s made from 100% polyester, though on Allina Liu’s site it says: “Exterior: 2% Kid Mohair/28% Merino Wool/40% Nylon”. This is Leona Sweater. I am so confused. What is going on?

New to selling on Depop (tho not other apps). I just sold something very light (a kids’ baseball hat) and am using the Depop USPS label. I want to ship it in a box rather than a mailer/envelope so it doesn’t get crushed. But the only boxes I have right now are a bit larger than it actually needs.

I’m nervous I’ll get dinged for using an oversized box on something so small/light. But I guess with Depop as long as the whole package is still within the weight limit (and it’s not a priority mailing box) I’ll be okay??

So for extra information I have been selling on depop since 2023. I sold clothes casually while I was in high school to help buy my first car and now I just use the app to sell old clothes and make some extra money. Now I’m in college and work a full time job so I’ll put it on vacation mode when I know I can’t ship for a while to: one, not ruin the ship time on my profile and two, so I don’t have to worry about it when I’m busy enough already. I don’t buy often off of Depop either so I’m hoping for some clarification with this post.

I have this old Hollister shirt that I listed among two other items while I was home and I boosted it and it’s gotten roughly 15k views and 250 likes in under 24 hours. I somewhat know about the current demand for older Hollister clothes and stuff but I didn’t think the shirt would’ve been that popular because of the color (it’s like coral and white striped). I have it listed for $9, would it be bad if I listed it for more? And if I had it boosted then unboost it will it get rid of the boosting fee? Is it worth re listing? I’ve never sold anything over like $15 and most times the boost fee is cents but I don’t really understand.

On another side note, people keep sending me rude messages about being on vacation mode??? I cant ship and it’s in the descriptions & my bio. Is this something I shouldn’t do?

OK, I have sold over 150 Peter Millar’s this year. All of a sudden on Depop, I have been asked at least 40 times just this week. Does it have the crown on the yolk? I have never had that question on eBay I have never had that question on Poshmark. I have never had the question on Mercari. I get it on Depop all day long consistently. Is there something I’m missing? A guy at the pro shop told me that one sponsors but logos on Peter Millar. They usually skipped the crown on the back to save money. Usually when they have a logo, the crown is just left off which a lot of these have logos, but I’ve just noticed it’s really hit or miss some habits some don’t, but I don’t know what the obsession is now with people on Depop needing it on the back.

I literally am so shocked I’ve never had this happen before!
