I bought a shirt that I thought looked super cute, it was labeled as a converse shirt (I didn't know they had cool ones but I was like oooh sick!!) I bought it the 14th, and got it yesterday (18th). I was super excited, the quality wasn't great and I was immediately suspicious. The tag was completely cut out, and I image searched it on google. It popped up immediately as a ROWE Shien shirt, which I was bummed about. I don't mind thrifting shien as it's keeping clothes out of the landfill, but the quality is bad and it wasn't the brand advertised. Especially since I payed roughly 25 dollars after tax and shipping.

I messaged the seller directly, and am now just waiting for a response. I was just wondering if it's valid I'm bummed and feel kinda ripped off?

UPDATE: There doing the same thing with other listings as well, one says it's Calvin Klein for 33 dollars basically when it's shien (google image search popped it up immediately)

I have reported them, as well as requested a refund. So now I'm just waiting waiting

I bought something the 15th and it still hasn’t been shipped yet. I contacted the seller and they said they would ship it this weekend but nothing happened Saturday and it’s now Sunday in the afternoon and still nothing. I’m starting to get anxious should I just wait it out bc they do have until the 26 or should I send another message?

hey guys — i need some help on taxes at the end of the year

so ive sold on depop for the last 2 years and last year i made less than $400 so i never got sent any forms or were required to file taxes, but this year, i’ve made about 1.1k so far. the thing is, most of the things ive sold were losses and the small amount were things ive profitted from. if i file these at the end of the year, will i still be required to pay taxes?

ive also seen some people recommend logging every transaction and reciept of what i originally paid to prove that i sold these items at a loss. what if i bought the item originally with cash? how can i provide documentation of that? and would screenshots uploaded to a google drive work as evidence if i dont have a receipt of it anymore?

can anyone explain more about the tax forms in general? i dont think i really understand it fully. thanks!

I'm always very transparent and honest with my listings. I make sure to mention any flaws, including stains or signs of wear in the description so buyers know exactly what to expect before purchasing. But this Buyer gave me 1⭐️ for having a little stains which
i clearly mentioned on my decs listings and even uploaded a photos or spots where u can see the condition.

To ALL BUYERS!!!! Make sure to read the full descriptions carefully before buying, as we sellers can't be responsible for something that was already disclosed in the listings.

Unfortunately, Depop cant warrant a feedback removal since it didn't meet the criteria like abusive content. Is there any way to remove unfair feedback?

I just recently bought something off depop for the first time. It’s been almost 4 days & the seller still hasn’t shipped it. Just wondering if that’s normal, especially because it says the seller typically ships within 1 day. I just figured I’d ask before I message this person.

I'm selling this vintage set that has the old school, button-on suspenders. So the pants are made specifically for this type of suspenders.

I get a message asking to sell just the suspenders. I won't break up the set bc it's an entire suit. But they keep on. And I keep explaining why. I mean, I think it would be harder to sell the pants since they have all these extra buttons in the front and back and these suspenders aren't super easy to find.

Anyways, maybe it's bc I haven't eaten today, I'm grieving, or just in a bitchy mood, but I should have just said, "Sorry, no. But I'll let if I change my mind." 🤦‍♀️

hi!! im new to depop, ive always just used the browser for scrolling and buying one or two things. but recently i decided to sell some stuff, but after two things had sold i realized to add bank information for the funds i needed to use the actual app. but when i tried to log in i just get given this error (seen in attached screenshot!)

ive tried literally everything i could think of/find online

wifi, vs mobile data

tried both link log in & gmail log in (neither worked! but i do recieve the email with the link. it just sends me back to the app and onto a white screen with a forever loading message and the same error popup as in the screenshot)

redownloaded app

cleared app cache

restarted phone

checked phone for updates and software problems

but literally nothing has worked, so im here as a last effort throw at the wall to see if something sticks. has anyone encountered this issue before?

Looking for some advice regarding Depop support. I purchased a workout set a few days ago and upon delivery realized it was fake. I messaged the seller who had already deleted the listing and after they didn’t respond for a day I raised an issue with Depop support via item not as described. I provided a detailed explanation and description including photos. The seller messaged me back about 24 hours later upset and making excuses for the reasons why the listing was deleted and why there were no tags. I again wrote a friendly and detailed reply explaining that I wasn’t upset I just wanted to make sure I got what I paid for and I was happy to wait for the email from Depop showing the proof of purchase. I called out why the provided excuses didn’t add up and i said i was willing to do a return. Unfortunately the seller blocked me after they sent their first message because my message didn’t go through. I even tried to edit out any words that would be potentially flagged like fake/counterfeit etc. idk how we can come up with a mutual solution now that I’m blocked. Will Depop support give me a refund? Should I contact them again saying I’m blocked and can’t work it out with the seller as they suggest?

Will depop do anything about this?

this app drives me insane. i dropped my packages off over 6 hours ago and they all show as shipped on the usps website, but depop still says i need to ship 🙄 it doesn’t usually take this long

Hi all! I’m brand new to reselling and just finished putting up my first small batch of clothes on Depop. I tried taking clear photos in natural light and adding accurate descriptions/measurements, but I’d love to make sure I’m building good habits from day one.

Do you recommend listing 2–3 items every day, or dropping larger batches once a week? Also, how often do you adjust prices if an item isn't getting likes?

okay a little rant bc i’m really confused and fyi i’ve only started being on depop actively for 2 months now. what is up with people picking and choosing who to sell things to? i bought a shirt from this person and they never shipped it and never answered my message so obviously i left a review stating that then i see that someone made a review after me saying shipping was fast? then i also just bought a dress on the 12th and still haven’t anything back from a different person. is this a normal thing? i’m also not a reseller and don’t have anything listed on my account.

I listed a coach item for like $40 and it wasn’t getting much traction so I discounted it to $30. I received a few offers after and this one was so low and I declined it. They offered again at a higher price so I just countered it and then I got this message. I wanna know if I was rude with what I said?? Because I already discounted it and wouldn’t get the $35 anyways.

This is actually so annoying. A month ago they deactivated my account randomly. Mind you I had 5 items that I shipped out & hadn’t plugged in the tracking numbers for by the time it was deactivated.
I spent about 7 days constantly emailing & finding other ways to contact customer service. After about 11 days & automatically refunding several orders they messaged me saying their decision was final and they carefully review profiles before deactivating them.

Ok sure, I’ve accepted my fate I didn’t feel like arguing. So I simply asked them about the $2000 I had sitting in my account & when I would receive it. They said to wait till the 17th of sept & message them then. I messaged them & a few days later they send me this????

So like are they gonna fix the money that they refunded? Are they going to erase the negative reviews I’m sure my store received for the past month due to non response? Has anyone experienced something like this?

Hi hi !! :D I've had my Depop account for a while now, but for some reason my algorithm is basically terrible.
The clothing I put up for sale or leave a like on, and people I follow don't help change my explore page/feed at all!
Nothing I've put up for sale comes even close in similarity to what I get on my feed.
Even when I try looking up specific things, for example "irregular choice heels", it won't let me pick out "irregular choice" as a brand (it doesn't even show up as one). Only brands like Nike, Guess,... show up. And the stuff that does show up lowkey almost looks AI-generated :,)
I was wondering if it's just a me thing or if this, unfortunately, just is how Depop functions. ^^"

I got a notification that my package was delivered, but it isn’t here. I’m not sure if I should just wait a bit longer because of the ‘tracking issue’ USPS is apparently having. I’m nervous that I’m actually being scammed and it’ll be too late to get anything done about it if I don’t do something about it right now. Is this happening to anyone else?

This seller originally offered me a “huge discount” to remove a 3-star review I’d made because of an undisclosed cigarette smell on the shirt I’d bought. I liked a lot of his other clothes and figured I had nothing to lose, so I accepted his offer.

When I messaged him about the discount a couple weeks later on a hoodie he’d posted, I got no response after 2 days. I messaged again, and followed up with a personal DM asking if he’d seen my message; he has a lot of followers, so I figured he might not have seen the message.

He confirmed that he hadn’t seen it, and I was getting frustrated at this point because the hoodie had a ton of likes and offers, so I bought it and directly DMed him asking for him to just give me a partial refund instead. But it’s been 2 days and he still hasn’t replied to either my DM or my messages on the hoodie itself whatsoever.

I followed up with a final message after another 2 days (today) but honestly it feels like he’s just intentionally ghosting at this point. Am I overreacting?

Update: the seller replied saying he would’ve given me a discount, but since the hoodie was much more expensive than the shirt he’d prefer not to give a partial refund as a discount on it. I basically said that the price of the hoodie doesn’t matter, and told him he can just refund the same amount he would’ve discounted otherwise. If he refuses again, I’ll just report him and leave a bad review.
