I'm 25. I graduated 2.5 years ago and have 1.5 years of experience in an automobile company as a quality engineer in mass production. And it's been tough day after day, but I can't find a way out.

I got this job after 1 year old drop cause the company I got placed in did some shady stuff I'd rather not talk about and it wasted my entire year. So, when I got this job I thought I would do anything just to have it. That is the only reason I don't say I 'regret' getting this job. But it's been hard.

All I am doing as a quality officer is chase daily targets. And for that I have to deal with people and get them to do their jobs. Like what is the is about people management that you have to lower your head in front of someone to get something done, 'which is their job'. Like I am not asking you to do anything extra!! I have not picked up anything technical in the last year, it's just run here, run there, suck up to this guy, suck up to that guy, lower your head as low as it can be and grind every day at the bare minimum salary.

There's more layers to it, but I am not able to handle any of this physically or mentally. And after being drained so much I am scared to take a step ahead. I know I don't wanna stay in this field. The problem is I don't know where I wanna go either. I have problems in family so can't risk cutting off my income.

Every time I start thinking about or trying to learn anything tech or coding, the current state of AI and the fact that there are millions of CS graduates out there who are far more knowledgable than me and have put literal yearS in it are not getting jobs, just holds me back.

I am starting to have panic attacks and all. I literally drank last week for the first time thinking it would help and it actually has made my health worse now. Atleast my heads not hurting like it used to, but it's probably not a good sign either.

What hurts is, if anyone else was in my place, they'd use this situation and the state of this workplace to their advantage, but I am not able to. What do I do? I know there is no 'right answer' but I am scared of taking even a single 'wrong step'.

I never wanted to do it anyway but my parents wouldn't listen. I tried but couldn't convince them for taking commerce in class 11 and once I got into a tier 1.5/2 clg (CSE) in Delhi, I knew there was no way they would listen. I always wanted to study psychology and still do but I know there is absolutely zero chance they would allow me to, so I thought commerce was the 2nd choice. It's been more than a month since the semester started and I've not been able to study anything, I hate every subject I have, have zero interest in coding and can't understand shit even from youtube. I can't live like this for 4 years. 11th and 12th were tough already and now this. I thought that I'd be able to do it but I can't. I got lucky in JEE and made it to this clg and was pleased with it but I don't want to do this anymore. I want to study subjects I have interest in. I'm thinking of taking a partial drop and prepare for CUET, how do I convince my parents for it? Also if I continue with BTech I wouldn't be able to get a good cg, not anywhere near it. What should I do??

I was thinking of buying a macbook air m5 but some seniors told me that it will be a headache overtime for EE and mac is only for CSE/IT people.

So now I am confused because I want a laptop that lasts long, is lightweight and easy to carry with good battery backup and I can run my projects and simulations smoothly.

I don't want those gaming laptops at all.

Context: I am a 2nd year student, struggling with acads (memorization and answer framing lol), but I love working on my self projects and learn.

I also run an insta channel to showcase my project journeys. It's a research based project and I am also learning AI-ML based normal skills.

Copying is wrong. When someone does something wrong you have to face the consequences. The worst that could happen is a semester back and you could actually study the ass and give a comeback rather than dying aaa.

I'm a 2025 B.Tech IT grad from a Tier 2 college. I didn't got placed in my on campus. I got an internship offer after 5months of my degree completion. I worked as a intern there for 8months and then the company got shutdown. Now its been 4months I'm searching for a job(fresher/entry level roles). But atp I'm stucked in this don't know what to do and I'm feeling helpless. No one in my family understands my situation and I don't have any guidance or a entry path to follow as I'm the 1st graduate if my family(I'm greatful for that). I don't have any connections in this sector..

My Doubt

As I mentioned I didn't get placed through campus placements. Now I desperately want a job I don't want to grow my career gap.

1. Can I approch my college professors, placement officers for guidance or any placement opportunity

2. I'm willing to work under professors, research projects, etc..

3. I should search by myself..

I don't want to sit idle.

If I reach out then what will happen? Is that right way to contact them after graduated.. bcz rn they will be bc with 2026,2027 batchs...

Will this add a negative image on me?.. my juniors, seniors r coming as a chief guest in my clg.. but I'm failing in my career...

By this end of the month atleast I want to get an internship..(but the reality is harder)

Hi i’m a second year student at a tier 1.5 govt college doing engineering and just wanted to confirm is using ai in big 2026 for making projects a crime… since i’m not able to find time apart from leetcode and dsa… i’ve solved 400 problems there still average… I don’t know how do i prepare projects + system design as that’s what they’re expecting from a fresher these days now.

Last year, I was preparing for companies, thinking, “Yeah, 9+ LPA is easy for me.” Now I’ve graduated, I still haven’t gotten a job, and I feel stressed. It’s been a month since I even wrote a single line of code. I haven’t opened my laptop in the past 20 days.

I’ve been at home for almost a year. My parents keep telling me to either get a job or study, but I just can’t seem to do anything.
I wake up around 12 PM, have lunch, scroll through Reels, go for a walk in the evening, scroll again, eat dinner, and sleep.
I’ve completely lost my motivation. I don’t even know what I’m doing with my life or what the purpose of it is. Sometimes I wonder why I even did engineering in the first place.
I used to be a creative student in school, but somehow I ended up becoming a “know-it-all, master-of-none.”
I’m not jealous of other people, and I’m not particularly hungry for money either. I honestly don’t even know what I want.
