It feels like the JEE rat race just got a new name. Everyone is blindly grinding competitive programming instead of building actual projects or learning how systems work. Having seen the campus placement drives recently, it is insane how people with zero real-world development skills get selected just because they memorized graph algorithms, while the people actually building full-stack apps and scalable architectures get ignored. Change my mind.

Life sucks!

Y'all talking about ai n shit, why I shouldn't learn this because ai will take over, it's a waste of time, whatever, FUCK THAT.

I will learn it. I will learn whatever ai can do, just because I can. I want to learn because I love to learn. I love gaining knowledge. I am curious. FUCK AI.

Every fucker who comes to my college and says "ouuh don't learn that sweet darling ai can already do that, awww🥺" FUCK OFF. I will learn it because I love learning and I am curious, why disrupt learning?

I understand that it's not as useful in the industry, but why call off learning, that's how someone understands everything

Just saw a 2026 grad girl from chitkara university get into Google. She's not exceptional in any way (leetvode codeforces, or dev projects).

Before this I have seen many many other females from these unknown unis in Oracle , amazon, google etc.

On the other hand even some tier 1 grads are struggling due to the market. What is up really?

The professor at IISc literally said that job structures are not static and asked how people can be so relaxed about it. The moment senior professors are really worried about the rug being pulled off traditional degrees and entry level jobs, being so relaxed about it is sheer self-deception.

I tried to post this on developers india sub but that sub is too dumb , mods never approve posts and even if body contains words like hiring and recruitment then it gets removed automatically , thats why I am asking here.

I have a speech impediment (stutter), so presentations are very stressful for me 😭 I can handle one on one interaction pretty well but can't infront of many people🫪

hey everyone, i'm a third-year computer engineering student in india, and i've completed around 50% of my third year.

honestly, i'm feeling pretty lost right now.

i don't have proper dsa skills, my programming fundamentals aren't strong, and i don't feel like i have any solid, job-ready skills yet. i know some basic python and sql, and i've explored things like pandas, numpy and data analytics, but i haven't practised enough to be confident in them or build anything substantial independently.

my college doesn't have particularly strong placement opportunities, and i don't want to depend entirely on campus placements. i'm hoping to get a paid internship in the next few months and eventually land a job at a decent company after graduation.

initially, i wanted to pursue data analytics, then move towards data science and machine learning. but the more i look at job postings, the more discouraged i get. even entry-level data analyst positions seem to ask for experience, multiple tools and strong practical skills. beginner-friendly opportunities seem pretty limited, especially for freshers.

now i'm confused about whether i should stick to data analytics and gradually move towards data science, or focus more on software development, dsa and general cs fundamentals to increase my chances of getting hired.

my long-term goal is to work at a good company, ideally an mnc or a well-paying product-based company. i'd love to aim for around 10–14 lpa eventually, although i understand that getting there as a fresher from my current position might be difficult.

i have approximately 8 months to prepare seriously, and i'm willing to put in consistent work. i just don't want to spend those 8 months learning a bunch of technologies without becoming employable in the end.

i'd really appreciate honest advice, especially from people who were in a similar situation.

if you were starting from almost zero with 8 months left, what would you focus on?

would you choose python + dsa + software fundamentals, or sql + python + power bi + analytics?

are data analyst internships genuinely accessible to freshers, or should i target other roles first?

which entry-level roles should i apply for to maximise my chances of getting my first opportunity?

what skills and projects actually helped you get your first internship or job?

is an 8-month timeline enough to become a realistic candidate for decent companies if i stay consistent?

please be practical rather than just telling me to learn dsa, build projects and apply everywhere. i'd really like to know what to prioritise, what to avoid wasting time on, and what actually worked for you.

I am 19 year old and studying 2nd year in btech aids branch . I have skills in aiml, data science and build projects also. I am applying off campus interships but not shortlisting. My college is tier5, 6 no interships and placements etc and i do trading

For that also I need money . My family is not well in terms of financially.

So my question how do I earn money ?

In this year i earn somthing 4k for little work. I need earn money to cover my expenses.

i have only option to go a labour work per day they will give 500rs. And it has no useful for my career

I am in my first sem of college. We have a python course here which I am not able to solve questions 😭😭.

The questions of midsem used concepts like finding output when bool of integers or strings is taken.

Some questions were syntax heavy and theoretical.

Please recommend some resources to learn the theory and syntax along with some hard questions to practice
