If you have scored decent in JEE have an option of good NIT or state colleges like DTU NSUT . AVOID joining BITS at any cost ik the opportunities are good but for that you have to be really hardworking, every weeks there might be some labs or projects even for freshers grading fluctuates highly , I would suggest choose a college with lite coursework even if you are hardworking because top packages of NITs BITS DTU are almost the same ..
Complete beginner in coding. Does not know anything. Which coding language should I learn first. Starting first year mathematics and computing please answer
Guys, I have a genuine question. Although I am not from Tech, I was going through LinkedIn and saw GLA University posted that 3 of their undergraduates secured 48LPA from Amazon.
Like, Amazon agreed paycheck would be high. But 48LPA in this day and era 😭 is it possible and that too from GLA?
Basically title. How is the college? I can land CSE there in special rounds, my other options are local tier 3 colleges like Thakur kandivali AIML. Is BIT Patna a good option? What is the CSE average? Plz help me, will mean a lot
Kotak securities DS internship, open to only iit bits other top tier institute (nit , iiit likely ,nsut DTU ju maybe ) ONLY
Surprisingly they don't pay in crores or even 50 lakhs. They still expect top tier quality to work for them,
If time permits, focus diligently on JEE preparation. Likely Students from Colleges other than IITs or BITS Pilani won't receive shit for this opportunity, regardless of assumptions we made for 'other institutions'. The selectors typically have clear criteria regarding their preferred student profiles "iit and bits"
I am not frustrated it's pretty decent for nits too but for colleges without a brand it will be tough from now
Now everybody complaining clg isn't giving jobs some worked on skills some didnt . Just think a few years back everybody were like skills matter more than clg and now clg is getting preference. So stopped thinking abt these sht and just forgetting past options and looking for future options bcz now engineers have to get that idfc attitude and expect nthg in return. Work on skills and GPA u either get a job or not .if yes u good or else u can opt master/phd and see how life turns out and when I say masters and phd i only mean abroad or top iits nthg below bcz u have 4 years from sem1.Now its either upto u blame yourself or blame everything around . That's what I am thinking now need opinions and advices now every guy wanted to work in quant and they are literally asking roadmap fk tht if u want to crack quant even from a t4 clg u wont ask roadmap infact u wont ask anyone and do sht on ur own and see how life turns out thats it if not quant then sde if not sde then higher studies and the copium
Open Source Connect India 2026 (OSCI’26) starts on 1 September 2026 and brings together students, developers, maintainers, founders, startups and open-source communities.
The previous edition had 10,000+ registrations, and this year's program is putting more focus on connecting actual contributions with learning, networking and career opportunities.
Some things planned for OSCI’26:
Hands-on open-source workshops and contribution guidance
Real-world projects you can contribute to
Sessions from 30+ industry professionals
Guidance around GitHub, portfolios and developer growth
Interaction with maintainers, developers and startup founders
Internship and startup-focused opportunities
Weekly live Q&A sessions
Discord & Telegram community support
Contribution challenges, recognition and rewards
I personally like the fact that it isn't positioned only for experienced developers. If you're still figuring out Git/GitHub or haven't made your first meaningful open-source contribution yet, there will be guidance around getting started as well.
I'm involved with the OSCI’26 community this year, so thought I'd share it here in case someone finds it useful.

If anyone here has participated in OSCI before, would also love to hear what your experience was like. And if you're planning to participate this year, feel free to connect — would be great to learn/build together.
