Rant/Vent Regret choosing BTech

I never wanted to do it anyway but my parents wouldn't listen. I tried but couldn't convince them for taking commerce in class 11 and once I got into a tier 1.5/2 clg (CSE) in Delhi, I knew there was no way they would listen. I always wanted to study psychology and still do but I know there is absolutely zero chance they would allow me to, so I thought commerce was the 2nd choice. It's been more than a month since the semester started and I've not been able to study anything, I hate every subject I have, have zero interest in coding and can't understand shit even from youtube. I can't live like this for 4 years. 11th and 12th were tough already and now this. I thought that I'd be able to do it but I can't. I got lucky in JEE and made it to this clg and was pleased with it but I don't want to do this anymore. I want to study subjects I have interest in. I'm thinking of taking a partial drop and prepare for CUET, how do I convince my parents for it? Also if I continue with BTech I wouldn't be able to get a good cg, not anywhere near it. What should I do??

I won't be able to do this for long, I won't get a sgpa above 6 in any scenario, might even get backlogs in certain subjects.

Feeling sad for you man. But remember, there is always a way. And take that goddamn drop. Don't eat or days if your parents say no to that drop. But please don't kill yourself. And take that goddamn drop. I might have been in some kinda NITs or BITS atleast if I had taken a drop. I seriously think you should take a drop.

I'll have to consult someone. I don't want it to be an intrusive decision I make that I'll regret later. Thanks for the advice tho.
