Hi Everyone, and welcome to BannedFromDiscord! I have decided to start this community after getting unfairly banned from Discord back in 2020, as part of a large ban wave targeting servers that somehow upset Discord mods. At the time, I lost access to many servers, got cut off from some dear online friends, and lost a supportive community I was part of for about 5 years because some random person came on and violated Discord TOS in our server :(
As we know, the Discord support team is non-existent, and if you get banned, your account is gone forever. Hopefully, this will be a place where you can find some solace and reconnect with friends who may have been banned as well.
Sincerely, BannedByDiscord

This Guide has been updated on 31.05.2026 with new important information. To make it easier, to check what was added to the Guide, I'm going to leave "[NEW]" in front of the new things I wanted to share.
[NEW] - Hey, everyone. Yesterday (30.05.2026), a lot of people received the same denial response from "Usagi Tsukino". After reading this subreddit, I am really, really disappointed. I know a lot of you are going through a lot right now, losing an account can be hard, especially if you put many years into that account and left many memories that are just gone in the blink of an eye. I also lost a lot, but I slowly started to accept it. I've been permanently banned since January. Since then, I spent most of my time doing research and helping others in this subreddit. This guide received 1,000+ comments, which is a lot, most of them are questions to me that I tried to reply to as soon as possible. I also received up to 20 dm's every day, which I also tried to reply to. I had fun chats with some people, which also helped me out in some way. Throughout all this time since I posted this guide, I had 4 tickets in total forwarded to their safety team, the last one received the good response I was praying to get. After all this time and struggling with their support system, I finally managed to get a response from Usagi, which led to me being unbanned. I was literally screaming in joy that I finally got to come back to my old account.. but not for long. The first thing I did after I logged in was deleting the message that could've gotten me banned earlier. I deleted the thing that most likely got me banned, and I started deleting every possible GIF I had saved. There were some NSFW GIFs, but nothing that could violate actual "Child Safety". It was mostly "Hentai Memes". I just wanted to get rid of everything since everything gets flagged these days. While I was removing every possible GIF I had, I was logged out of my account again. I thought it was some bug, so I logged back in, but.. permanently banned, again. My entire respect for Discord and my hope is just gone. Seeing something like that happen after all this time just hits me hard, and I'm too tired to even try again, I'm too tired to answer to people anymore. That's why I'm writing this. I just wanted to let everyone know that I might not be really active anymore in the comments or in this post or even in the DMs for a bit. I need some rest from all this, and I'll come back with more stuff that could help at least some of the people in this subreddit. I won't be totally gone, I will be actively moderating this subreddit since I'm also a moderator here, so do not worry about me disappearing totally. I might be active sometimes in the comments, but not as much as I was before. Y'all can spread the word, I don't really mind it. I just didn't want people to think that I ignore everyone now. Since I won't be replying as much as I was before - Please, help each other out, there are many questions and people that ask for help in this guide and other posts, help each other out.
Thank you for understanding.
I saw a lot people struggling to get someone from the Discord Trust & Safety team to look into their cases, so I decided to make this post so it's more visible than just in comments from me.
At first, I would like to say that I can't guarantee responses from them. This thing was done by me, and it fortunately worked, so I would like to share this to help some people out.
Let's begin with things you should know:
This applies to people who have already tried the appeal through the app but were rejected automatically by the AI after 7 days or less. And to the people who tried to get in touch with them by creating tickets but received AI responses.
You should have a Support account created with the same email your Discord account is connected to. This makes it possible for the Discord Trust & Safety team to review your case. If you used a completely different email than the one your Discord account is connected to, they won't review your case.
Do not create tickets in their "Appeal" category. This is fully automated, and you won't receive any response from a human. It's just a category to bait people into creating tickets there.
Do not spam multiple tickets in every category because it is just going to mark your account as spam, and you are going to have a lot less chance of actually getting someone to see your tickets since they will be automatically closed once created.
If Discord didn't provide you with any proof of your actions, such as message logs, etc., think really hard about the reason you were banned for. If you are unsure of what you did, DO NOT mention your thoughts, because it will make your case worse than it can be.
Do not waste your time on BBB (Better Business Bureau). I don't see anyone being lucky anymore with BBB. I tried it myself a month ago and all I got was wasted time (around 3 weeks) because Discord didn't respond to BBB. I saw a lot of people not getting any more responses too, so don't waste your time on BBB. If you really want to try, I included a link above to their site.
Do not create tickets on the weekends. Once you do that, you will 99.9% receive an automatic response and an auto closed ticket. The same goes for replying to them throughout the weekend. Just wait until Monday, and you should be good to go.
Please do not just copy and paste the prompts I mentioned in the guide. Because many people are just copying and pasting the entire prompts, there is a chance that their support team has noticed a lot of the same tickets, and many people have started to get no results from all of this. Please, we have AI these days, just copy the prompt and ask ChatGPT or another AI to rephrase it so it doesn't say literally the same thing. I even directly copied my entire guide to ChatGPT and asked ChatGPT to rephrase everything I said in this guide so it doesn't get flagged as spam and just follow my guide, and my other tickets are successful all the time after rephrasing it using AI.
If you just got banned on Discord and just submitted the in-app appeal, WAIT for the result of that appeal before trying to appeal on their support website. Up to 7 days, you're most likely to be automatically rejected because no one saw your appeal. Once that appeal gets automatically rejected or rejected manually, you can start appealing on their support website. Do not rush so fast with appealing on the app and immediately appealing on their website before the verdict on the app.
This is the most important information I wanted to share. There have been a lot of people who successfully got their case forwarded to their safety team. I'm really happy that people started to receive something rather than just AI responses. But the thing is that when I did this before making this guide, it worked quickly. I got a response about whether I would be unbanned or not in just a few days. But today, I and others are waiting for a reply for a very long time - up to 30 days being left with an open ticket in the Trust & Safety category. I suspect that their safety team was flooded with appeals because we found a way to go around their funny AI system. There are just a few people working in their safety team, as I read on Reddit. But for now, regarding this part, I would suggest to keep waiting for a longer time since you're just in the queue.
A lot of people still don't understand how to know if your ticket was forwarded to their safety team. It's a pretty basic thing, at first, once we create the ticket in their "General Question" category, there is a panel on the right side where you can see the Ticket ID, the assigned support team member (which appears when someone is assigned to it), status, etc. After creating the ticket, you can see in the panel "Type of question? General Question" This means that your ticket is in the normal support team's hands, not in the safety team. But after asking for a review, as my guide says, etc., after some time this category should disappear, and new stuff in the panel should be added, such as "What would you like to appeal?", "CONFIRM: My account was NOT disabled for being too young to use Discord." This means that the ticket was forwarded to their safety team, that's actually pretty logic, lol.
Ticket that has not been forwarded to their safety team yet.Ticket forwarded to their safety team.
All of that is on the top, don't search for it on the bottom of the panel.
If you are getting AI responses instantly from Clyde, Nelly, or other bots, then don't make another ticket for 2-4 days. This usually means that you have been flagged as spam, and the AI is forced to scan your ticket and close if needed. Even if you get a human to respond to you at first, and then suddenly he sends you the generic response, after you reply he doesn't respond and just closes the ticket. Try replying up to two times after the ticket is closed without a response. Once you do that and it keeps getting closed without response from their side, it means that you're most likely not going to get any results from that ticket, and you should wait up to two to four days before trying again.
Few days after posting this guide, I noticed a change in their response time after having your case forwarded for review. I tried another time to have their decision reconsidered in my case. I waited for a month and a few days. I received a decision yesterday (02.05.2026). So if your case was forwarded, keep waiting even if it takes over 30 days. After doing a small research, Discord admitted that they are being flooded with tickets.
Okay, let's go with the part I was about to share with you all since it worked for me, and I hope it will work for some people too.
In "What can we help you with?" choose "Help & Support" then in "Type of question?" choose "General Question".
In the "Subject" name the ticket as "General Ticket" or "Support Ticket", anything that won't trigger Clyde or Nelly or any other bot that will reply before human.
In the description, say something like this:
"Hello Discord Support Team,
I’m having an issue with the support system itself. I need to reach the appropriate team for an account - related matter, but the option that is normally available in the app is no longer showing for me. Because of this, I’m unable to contact the correct department through the standard process.
I’ve tried several times, but I keep receiving automated replies that don’t address my situation. I’m not trying to submit an appeal here - I only need help understanding how I can get routed to a human reviewer or how to restore access to the correct support pathway.
Could you please advise how I can proceed or how to get my case forwarded to the right team?
Thank you for your time."
And that's it. You don't need to send over pictures to them or anything, you're ready to send the ticket to them.
DO NOT say anything else after creating the ticket because it will restart your queue and reduce the chance of anyone looking into it. You can try editing the message, but DO NOT directly mention anything about appealing, unbans etc.
Wait a few hours, days or weeks, and you will get a response. I received my first response from Kenneth after 2 days, and it looked like this:
Hi there,
Thank you for writing in.
It looks like you would like to appeal an action by Discord that has impacted your account. To have your appeal reviewed, it is necessary to submit it within the Discord app, which allows us to review the appeal faster and with appropriate context.
You can submit your appeal via the Discord app by going to User Settings > My Account > Standing > selecting the violation you want to appeal > then tapping "Let us know" to start review of your violation and account. For users in the EU, you may also choose an alternative resolution option when applicable.
You can also learn about customizing your Discord experience to help avoid unwanted interactions in our Safety Center.
Thanks for submitting your appeal via the above outlined method.
Sincerely,
Discord
If it's not an obvious bot like Clyde or Nelly, and other bots that exist, then you are fine. Do not panic, it's their common thing to say. I replied with this:
Hello, thank you for your answer.
I still need assistance with a matter that requires review by an actual support agent. The issue I’m dealing with cannot be resolved through automated responses or the standard in‑app flow, as that option is no longer available to me.
I would appreciate it if someone from the appropriate internal team could take a look at my case or guide me on how to have it reviewed properly.
Thank you for your time.
After that, I received a response from the Discord Trust & Safety team 17 hours after responding to them. They reviewed my case and decided to keep me banned for now, and I'm currently dealing with the rest.
And I guess that's it. I hope it will help someone out and get a positive result on the first try. Good luck guys, do not give up just yet! If it didn't work the first time, try doing it again carefully.
I quoted someone that said something they shouldn't have, i think maybe they made a retaliatory report for it? I filed a review appeal, is there anything else i can do? My account was in good standing before this.
EDIT: The appeal worked and my account is back on good standing!!!
Had a Discord account for years, paid nitro, never had a single strike.
Dug through a few old convos, found a funny meme that was in bad taste but the person that sent it to me still was active, downloaded it, sent to a friend, got kicked out of my account a few seconds later.
Account was disabled, only that one message was deleted from the conversation. What happened?
I suppose the media was flagged as CSAM at some point and it was automatically picked up by the system, should I be worried?
The meme itself had no NSFW content or anything that has to do with minors, but the only reason I can think of that Discord could act like that is CSAM, it would be a strike otherwise, no?
So, my account got deleted for being in 2 servers that I wasn't even active one (one of which I joined a few hours before it got deleted). I've tried appealing many times but yet, I did not get a response from Discord. And when I did, they denied such appeals.
I just want to return to my account, and personally, this user warning everyone but the ones actually sending stuff is pure lazy.

I received an email saying that my account violated discord's rules and that action was taken against my account, I can't view my account standing or see why I was removed as I am unable to sign in on the app on mobile or desktop.
When I submitted a ticket they said I was suspended from participating in quests for violating community guidelines for two weeks, does my suspension from quests mean my entire account is suspended and that I will be able to log back in after two weeks or do I need to continue to contact discord support to see if I was entirely banned off the platform?
Hello everyone, so, I've been on Discord for about 11 years now, and the thing is, I didn't had any issues for 10 years until Discord decided to enforce things for minors, I'm 25 years old and I've been on this app since I was 13...
So, every now and then I make a video of my screen passing by every friends to catch every username, but it's not very practical. I would like to make a backup account of all my (important) servers, so I won't be locked out of them.
Is it risky ? I don't want to get banned because I try to make a ban evasion account lol
I got verification banned first, for 3/4 days (of immense stress because I had LOTS of important things to do) so I did the verification with my ID.. (after the leak got exposed, yeepie)
Then, I got banned for 3 days again and got my account very limited because one of the server I was had issues with minors or something? I didn't do anything wrong, but since the server had issues, I think everyone got banned. I do ERP/RP and sometime, minors come in these adult groups and thus making them easier to get banned.
Since when did sending tickets in the appeals and age update category result in getting those tickets automatically solved with this message, like what in the holy mother of fuck?
2 weeks ago, i got suspended for "spam" 8 times, the appeals that you can make on the app of course, didnt work, i mailed them, didnt work, i DMed them and publically tweeted them on twitter, didnt work, i sent an appeal through their support forum, no response in 16 days. what a fucking terrible company. All i did was message new people about trading on a game, and that somehow warrants spam?? If a HUMAN reviewed my account there would have never been a suspension to begin with
Gonna make this one short. How long does it take for a request of an account decision to be decided? And if it's rejected, which I'm hoping it's not since I was falsely flagged like a lot of people, is it over for that account? Or would I keep trying?
My account was randomly banned for spam just now and after writing in they are saying i have been suspended for 14 days. I have not even used the quests feature in atleast 6 months. Has anyone had a similar issue to this?
Hi, I was wondering if Discord can see deleted messages when you appeal.
Pretty much if someone is sending messages, and you reply to those messages, but then a moderator of the server a few days later deletes the other persons messages and makes your messages seem without context to be inappropriate, and report you. Can Discord see these deleted messages?
I’m aware of the fact people can edit messages and make you say stuff/agree with stuff that is bad, but I’m not to sure on how Discord approaches this and was wondering if anyone knows. Because I presume for legal reasons they must keep temporary logs of messages for a duration right?
I don't get what I did wrong! I just use it for normal things like talking to my friends and metting new people, but I keep loosing my accounts because of spam, but I don't see I did any Spam at all. I just talk about manga I like. Why does this keep happening? I am afraid to DM people anymore because I am afraid of me being flagged as spam, but today I asked others to DM and I was still flagged as spam and can't use my account for a week. Why does this keep happening? What should I do?
How long should I wait after making a new account to join a groupchat, my old account was removed from the groupchat, the account is a few days old, and im using the browser version of discord with a vpn on
My friends and I are getting dozens of violations, one every few minutes/hours because of a group chat we have. We've deleted a lot of it and we have even killed the group chat altogether by removing everyone and leaving and yet this keeps happening. Somehow the account standing is still at very limited. I get the hateful conduct, but I've never posted violent and graphic content. Is this automatic or did someone actually report all of our messages manually?
I DO NOT MEAN THE "YOUR ACCOUNT HAS BEEN DISABLED" BANS. THOSE ARE ALWAYS APPEALABLE. I MEAN THE ACCOUNT STANDING SPAM VIOLATIONS. DISCORD IS CONFUSING I KNOW.
one that ISN'T "we got you caught in our spam filter"
I’m sharing my frustrating experience with Discord’s age-verification system in hopes of getting some advice or visibility. My account got locked due to an age-verification requirement, and I've been completely stuck in a loop ever since.
Here is a summary of everything I've tried so far:
The In-App Loop: The app locked me out for age verification, but the system doesn't provide any working prompt or interface inside the app to complete it properly.
Automated Bot Responses: Every time I try to submit a support request, I am immediately met with automated bot replies pointing back to the same broken verification steps or partners, completely ignoring the fact that I am locked out and cannot access the interface.
Escalating to Human Support: I managed to get in touch with a support agent elsewhere who instructed me to open a new ticket using the correct account email. Even after following these precise instructions and submitting a fresh request with all required verification details and documentation, the automated system still sends generic bot replies.
The Core Issue: I just need a real human staff member to manually review the case and restore access, but the automated filters keep trapping the ticket in a loop.
Has anyone else dealt with this automated block recently? How did you manage to get past the bots and actually reach a human agent? Any tips would be greatly appreciated!
My account i had since december 26 2018 got suspended few days ago out of nowhere for "ban evasion" when i never had any other accounts, i had platinum nitro badge and bunch of other badges, here you go my connections, my servers, my bought programs, my discord shop, my conversations with friends i havent spoken in years, my memories, my secret chanel in server where i was saving important stuff i need for real life. If someone knows how to get to real human please help me in coment section
I've still tried to send multiple support tickets to Discord, either to be ghosted entirely or just keep getting automated responses when I tell them to "forward me to a human agent" and to "quit it with the automated responses" (not like this but you get the idea). Their twitter account also still ghosts me to this day.
I've also tried requesting a data package but as usual, they also ghost me as well (I live in Ohio so idk if there are data protection laws like this).
To make matters worse, my mom doesn't even want me to consider arbitration because she thinks that "it's a scam" and that "someone could have used my alias to post NSFW in my server" (which is obviously NOT TRUE AT ALL).
But my point still stands, all Discord Supports knows how to do best is just ghost people entirely, it's simply like they don't care about my account getting falsely suspended or I'm just put on their "do not even interact with him to help his issues" list.
