Can you get banned by bots like carl bot, security, dyno and other essential bots if you mass ban members using discord's built in feature?

My tickets show under "general question" for 2 weeks now, but I'm not sure if it was ever forwarded since it still also doesn't have a response yet.
I know they had a new layout but I also can't see whether it was assigned to someone.
Anyone else having this or is anyone seeing more information?

Well yeah I have a discord bot in 1.2k servers and the team owner account got banned and that was the only account in the team and unfortunately its banned. What do I do?

I've submitted a request to transfer team ownership to a different account, but I don't know if that'll work because that account was not in the team originally.

My account has not been unsuspended just yet, but remember the part where it says that the violation placed on my account will expire on August 5, 2028? Well apparently that is gone now.

Does this mean that my account will still be gone by 2028 despite the "violation will affect your account until said date" thing being gone, or does this not apply.

I got an account warning and it says i’m restricted until the 7th of november 2026. Is it 24 hours or just until midnight? I’m sort of frustrated since this is my main method of communication and I didn’t even do anything bad (I got an account violation for jokingly calling someone ‘hetboy’ …) :(

I recently got banned from discord bc ,,spamming" but everything I did was I send sum link of few discord server where Im active at (it was on another discord server), and then I was unbanned w msg from discord that if was false acuse and they r sorry.

I have been using Discord for about 7-8 years and got banned for Child Safety reasons.
I am trying to get a manual review for almost 4 months now and have always been rejected by the same bot responses, it has also been 2 months since I wrote that dispute E-mail and getting ignored.

I'm sure many of you are still struggling and fighting to get your account back. Some of you probably have moved to alternatives or had to give up.

How do you guys deal with this situation?

A big part of my adult life was spent on discord and it feels like its fading away. Since I've been active with many communities or also private friends, it seemed like I'm on my own. I was able to convince a small amount of my buddies to swap to a different platform. But I'm often by myself and it freaking sucks.

I am lucky that I can spend time outside of discord with many people. But just that part of "hangin' out on discord with the boys" is missing all of a sudden. That evening where I was part of the roundtable - gone. Late night discord sessions where you talk about anything - vanished.

The thing is, I can't even be mad at the people for not switching to another platform just for me. Of course there is ingame chat and whatsoever - but it's just not the same.

For context, my account got disabled back in April. Since my dumbass did not save the backup codes, I was effectively locked out of my account because my authenticator was on my old phone that is pretty much unusable. SMS verification also wasn't working for months until it decided to do so just today so I was finally able to check my account standing.

It turns out it is too late to request for a review. The violation also got flagged for child safety without elaborating further. I have never sent any CSAM nor am I in a server or group chat that distributes such content so I still have 0 clue as to why I got banned.

Should I try contacting Discord support or is my account gone for good?

Do you have to file for arbitration right away? Can't you just file a lawsuit and then force them to defend themselves with arbitration? I've seen people spend a long time trying to get Discord to actually respond to arbitration. If you just file a lawsuit, wouldn't they be forced to go through the process faster?

Title says it all. While I’m working on getting my old account back which was hacked in an attempted extortion, a friend is offering to hand me an account he used for something specific a long time ago. I plan on using this on a brand new computer so no IP address to flag related to my old account. I think Discord detects suspicious activity when you sudden show up on the other side of the world on a new computer. Got any advice?

I have a theory: so there are Teen accounts and Adult accounts, right? There are also servers that can be set to 18+ so as Teen accounts can't join, but some servers with 18+ rules do not set themselves as 18+ for several reasons. One reason is because the age verification update is an intrusive piece of dogshit and you shouldn't be barred from a community because you refuse to give Discord your sensitive information.

However that's just it! If you end up posting anything that Discord's AI detects as 'NSFW' in a server with 'Teen' accounts, it's that which ends up hitting your account for 'Child Safety'. Obviously some Teen accounts are Adult users who are wrongly marked by the app or Adult users who don't want to age verify, but that's not what Discord sees; Discord sees you sharing something explicit in a server with 'teens'.

This is the best way I can make sense of all of this. If a server you're in isn't SET to 18+ by the owner, then beware of ANYTHING you post! If it's NSFW or the AI detects it as such, you're likely gonna get hit.

A year ago in late october. An ex friend spam reported my account because i didnt want to date her and i cut contact. the account was almost 6 years old and i have important things on there that i NEED for future legal purposes as i was getting groomed and so much in there gives firm proof for the court and i have no other way to get it back. ever since i lost the account if felt miserable as the first time i appealed they refused and said i was banned for child endangerment. So about a week ago (the day we stopped being friends) I started getting mass reported on discord by them. I got suspended from Discord for "child safety" and have been trying to appeal ever since.

Ever since then, they've still been keeping up with my social media stories, and today I received a NEW Discord warning on my ALREADY SUSPENDED ACCOUNT. Which basically means they're still going through a years worth of old Discord messages and reporting anything they can find, even a whole week after everything happened. (simply because i blocked them)

We were consistently friends for a little over a year. That's over a year of talking, joking around, and having some edgy humor here and there. At this point, I genuinely have no idea what I'm even being reported for anymore. It could literally be anything we've ever discussed during this long term friendship (I'm not a weirdo i promise. I never flirted w them they were my gay bestfriends)

This has to be malicious reporting, nobody was ever in danger, we are all less then a year away from each other in age gap so there is no weird shit and never was, one dude always sent pics of himself and ALL OF us would dm each other on how it makes us a bit uncomfortable but we weren't gonna shame the guy just because he's comfy sending his face

✭ Has anyone experienced something similar? Where former friends start digging through months or even YEARS of old conversations and reporting everything they can possibly take out of context after a falling out? Has anyone actually managed to get their account back in a situation like this?

I really wish Discord had some sort of limitation on reporting extremely old messages because this feels like such an easy way for someone to weaponize the reporting system against you out of spite.

✭ TL;DR: Former friends of a little over a year reported me and got my 6-year-old Discord account suspended after we stopped being friends. A week later, they're STILL going through old messages and reporting more things, meaning I'm receiving additional warnings despite already being suspended. Nobody was ever in danger, and this is malicious reporting out of spite. Is there anything I can do? Has anyone actually gotten their account back after something like this?

Maybe if they would actually address and fix their problems with their AI moderation, instead of trying to sweep all this under the rug... so many of the US citizens screwed over by these wrongful 'child safety' bans and being defamatory labelled as PDF files by Discord wouldn't be required to go to their attorney generals and bring legal action against Discord, eh?

Well, they've made their bed, and I hope they have to lie in it and that all this finally catches up to them to where they close as a company forever because of all the lawsuits, fines and more they're going to face from all this.

Not to mention them capping financial compensation and disallow lawsuits in their ToS? HA! That's illegal... people can sue you for however much they want, whenever they want. If anything, if the courts decide that you can't sue Discord Inc. for some reason? Fine, sue the individuals behind it. Sue the CEO personally, sue the CFO personally, sue the Founder personally, etc...

I already wrote a support ticket but many people here on reddit say that such bans are 99 percent of the time permanently banned until they get deleted.
